Been looking for this for far too long so thought I'd ask on here.

The heroine is a, nurse I think, her and the hero have a ons, she feels a connection with him but in the morning her gives her money for a taxi to leave, she doesn't take the money and gets attacked outside of the hero's apartment, hero has cameras and watches it later and tracks her down at the hospital where she works

I think the hero was....not in the army but something along those lines, he had enemies that's why the cameras

Was set in America,

I'm pretty sure the Hero was Irish,

Heroine was a nurse, I remember a scene where the hero turned up at the hospital but she didn't want to talk to him so her and a friend went to a pub and the hero eventually tracked her there
