Most of our mods are currently on vacation/not active right now (I myself was on vacation for over a week) but winglets mainly don't need to be approved/disproved. If you request a winglet, usually Disney just collects the requests and updates them every now & then as long as there isn't a character already in the spot you requested. I'm not in charge of winglets so I can't really do anything, but WhiteStorm is probably fine to start rp in JMA

Special abilities themselves don't need to be claimed or approved, but each character has to be approved by a mod before they can be used in rp. You're allowed to have a max of one animus character and 2 characters with other special abilities. If characters are too overpowered, they won't be approved and you'll be asked to change them. Hope that answers your question! :)

Yep, go for it! Just be aware that it counts as a special power and that we have a limit on how many dragons you can have with special powers

If you use an image you don't have to write an appearance, but you should credit the artist (name, platform) if you can

I know that the more tribes in a dragon's genetic make-up the less powerful any of their abilities would be.

As long as you haven't maxed out your hybrid limit, you can make your character be a mix of multiple different tribes. However dragons that are part of more than two tribes have less chance of inheriting each specific trait, unless it's a common trait among the tribes they are part of. Your character will not be approved if it's over powered and you will be asked to change it. I do ask that you try and make your dragon realistic though

Welcome to the group! I hope you enjoy your time here! :) It would probably be best if you split your dragons up into other winglets so that you can rp with different people, as the JMA system currently works better for rping with characters in the same winglet as your character is in. Your characters will probably get used more if they aren't all alone, but I'm not the one who runs the winglet system

I noticed you created a topic to introduce yourself, so I just wanted to point out on the rules that it says to ask before creating a topic. There are templates on the first comments of every character approval topic (pantala, pyrrhia, scavenger) which can be used, but you can use your own template if has all the same information! There are some minimum requirements for things like appearance and personality, so you should check out those templates, but please note that you can only create one animus and two dragons with other special abilities.

So- I have a question! Is there any chance I could make a topic to keep all my characters in? I like to refer back to my templates and some of my dragons were with my other account-

oh, that’s an interesting idea! I’ve seen other groups do things like that, like a folder where you can post your own topic to keep track of your characters and such, right?

(note: If you're familiar with this concept, you probably don't need to read this whole thing, this is so that people who don't understand the concept or aren't familiar with it can get a sense of what I'm talking about. the tldr is that we have a new folder, and if you can't make topics you can request one in the topic request for now)

    The Character Folders folder has been added! To use it, simply create a topic labeled with your username or what you go by - for example mine might be something along the lines of "Mugs' Characters" I don't mind what you name it as long as it's kept appropriate for the group. In your character folders, you can put any WOF characters of your own, be it works in progress, approved characters, characters used in a 1x1, or any of your other characters that have to do with this group!

Key Points
- The character folders are separate from the approval topics. If your character needs to be approved, it has to be put in one of the approval topics
- It's the 6th folder down, underneath the "Roleplaying Resources" folder. If you're unable to create a topic for whatever reason, you can ask on the Topic Request for now - depending on how used this feature is, I might add a topic specifically for requesting character folders
- I'm not going to put a limit on the amount of topics you can make for your characters (at the moment) but please be reasonable, you most likely won't need more than one, and you certainly don't need one for every character you make
- Also, this probably doesn't matter much, but I've moved the "Sunrise's Animus items, info and ideas" to this folder, as it seems better suited to this folder than the "Roleplaying Resources" - if the owner of the topic would like me to move it back, please let me know

If you want a place to store your dragons so you can keep track of them, you can create a topic in the Character Folders folder/ask for one to be made for you if you can't make topics. We also have a character list if you want to see a short list of the dragons in the group (I believe it isn't currently being updated, but feel free to correct me if I'm wrong)

Yes, because not all NightWings have them. Only some born under full moons are gifted with those powers.

Yes, your dragon can be a hybrid. We have a lot of them in this group. You can even have a Pyrriah-Pantala hybrid. Us mods only want the maximum hybrids a person has to be 3-4, and said hybrid is not overpowered.

Hello Charlotte, Welcome to the Group. Yes, Hybrids are allowed in this RP (Which includes Pyrriah-Pantala), and Dawn is not taken. For similar questions (Power of character, amount of hybrids, etc), refer to the first page and rules pop-up (Or ask if that didn’t help).

How many dragons am I allowed to have without special abilities, like, they have common tribal powers, like a silkwing has silk? Can a silkwing be in the Jade mountain academy? If you're character lives in pyrrhia, they would go in their respective topic, and vice versa!

I believe you can have as many dragons as you can manage! And of course, Silkwings can be in Jade Academy (granted there is space!)
Common tribal powers like regular silk, hivewing stingers, rainwing invisiblity, frostbreath etc do not count as special abilities! Things like mind reading, firescales, flamesilk and leafspeak do, however.

You can check Winglet Information (clicky) for anything you are unsure on! Some of the winglets are missing some tribes, but I don't think that should limit you. Keep in mind that it may not get added to the actual list, unfortunately the moderator that controls that particular list is on an indefinite hiatus iirc
