Why do you think Perez turned on Miguel? Knowing how skilled he was as “el santo,” was it arrogance to think he could outwit him?

Anita (anitanodiva) | 2991 comments Perez had no idea that Miguel would not turn on him. He was working with the NSA, after all. Nico thought himself to be as good or better than Miguel. Maybe Perez thought he was.

Laura I think it was arrogance, and that Perez thought he was untouchable. I don’t think he cared who did his dirty work for him.

It felt arrogant to me, too. Miguel had quite the reputation and earned it. Perez took no precautions to protect himself from Miguel (same security protocols), counting on him not believing Perez would put a hit out on him. Foolish, too.
