I think her thinking was justified. Her training would have taught her not to trust anyone. And as much as Miguel wasn't sure of Georgia's feelings, she rightfully shouldn't be sure of his.
She had no idea this man was ready to give everything up for her so she was right to take a few steps back. Then she got cold feet because these feelings were new for her. Those thoughts got a little irrational but it was understandable.
Both of them were unsure of what was real between them. It just took some time for them to sort it all out.
At first she was justified in her resistance. She’s been on her own for so long it was self preservation. Miguel made his feelings known pretty quickly so I’m glad that she didn’t drag on her hesitation for too long because then she was just starting to annoy me.
