Lesley Moseley | 19 comments Some time this year, I think, I read a book posing as a novel, to put forward 'clues' to who the Claremont Killer could be. Might have been written a few years ago. I was astounded that so much info was allowed, if it wasn't true. Now that a man has been charged, I am interested to re-read.

MJ | 1617 comments Suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Serial killer targeted blondish, slightly plump women in late teens/early twenties in the late 90’s... maybe early 00’s... picking them up in Claremont outside of the pubs and disappearing them from memory (this was all pre Uber-ish, and taxi drivers were prime suspects). Was a huge deal with dedicated task force for quite a while, maybe even had international expert assistance from FBI and the like, but I might be mixing that up with something else. Popped up every few years with suspects and details once he’d gone under. I think they only PINNED 3 women on him, but there were other possibles. A few years ago they arrested a suspect and the case is going to court now I think.

I have always loved true crime (tv), but only ever tried a Jack the Ripper book that just didn’t do it for me. This book sounds interesting tho.

The trial just began a couple days ago. What a nail-biter this is.

Done, thanks, again. I live in outback Queensland, and our TV stations don't seem to be following this. Decades ago, when I lived in Port Hedland, the visiting Opthamologist was Dr. Candy, who's daughter was murdered. : https://murderpedia.org/male.B/b/birn...
