Talia (kneyda) | 243 comments I finally dragged myself from rereading old JAFF books to read a new one. Safekeeping:I struggled to get through this book. I don't know if it was because it was a modern P & P or just the story itself. I liked Gypsy Blessing but this book didn't do it for me. No fault of the author.

Hm, sometimes its wrong timing for the mood or just a bad connection. I didn't even know about this one. I'll have to check it out since I like her books, too.

message 806: by Mary (new)

Mary | 30 comments Don't they say that two people never read the same book!

Connecting to and loving a book all depend on your mood and past experience......even book reviews of friends' who generally share the same taste can very so much that I sometimes wonder if they read the same book!!!

Hope everyone had a Merry Christmas! I can't believe it is already time for my last challenge update of the year. It has been a fantastic experience both for reading some good books, but making some new friends and strengthening ongoing friendships through this challenge.

Well here is my final check in and I thought I did well if I do say so myself. LOL!

You had a great reading month, Debbie.

Love seeing that you got in some Christmas themed ones. Oh, I do hope Jane's book is good. I have my eye on that one.

It is really good. I am so enjoying it, but llfe and obligations sometimes get in the way. How do I get my whole list up? Goodreads'll let me post on fb and twitter, but I don't see how to post here.

Sophia (sophiarose) | 757 comments Mod
Are you talking about your list for the whole year and that you want to post it here?

I only know how to put the books in one at a time or put up a link to a 'shelf' here on GoodReads that I created.

message 814: by Erika (last edited Dec 30, 2015 09:56PM) (new)

Erika (eureeka75) | 92 comments Okay, so here is my Dec P&P variation reads:

4. Daisy Dare Dangerous Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Intimate - 3 star

18. Jane Grix Bewitching Mr. Darcy: A Pride and Prejudice Paranormal - 4 star

My YTD with P&P variations is: 116
My YTD books read: 427

I have read books of varying sizes, not just full fledged novels, so that is one reason I have read so many. Another reason is because books (kindle ebooks) are glued to my hands almost at all times. There are 4 books I need to write reviews for yet. A chunk of TBRs were read, though my compulsion to buy more keeps adding to my TBR list!!!

Dung | 11 comments Wow Erika, what an impressive reading list for both JAFF and others. That's a little more than one book a day not counting the pages!

Oh Erika! That title Lizzy Gets Fizzy is cracking me up. I'd read it for that alone.

Woohoo, you really sizzled on the book count this month and for the whole year. I get you about the long and short ones. I have the same temptation to keep buying even while I have a big pile already.

Happy Reading in 2016!

72 is a goodly amount, for sure. I hope Jane Odiwe's book was good. I've got my eye on that one for a read in 2016.

Happy New Year to you, too, Kirk!

Sophia, Lizzy Gets Fizzy is cute. I loved Darcy in this one!!! Control freak Lizzy lets her hair down!!! LOL

Oh, I had forgotten my ratings, so I went back and edited them into the post.

How could it not be cute with such a name for a title. LOL

Thanks for putting in the ratings. That is very helpful. I think I'll start doing that with the new year.

Deborah | 55 comments I just finished my last book of 2015.
Jane Austen Lives Again Jane Odiwe.
What a wonderful story. I highly recommend it and will write my review his weekend.

That makes 61 Austenesque books for the year. I didn't think I'd reach 30....so I doubled my estimate. Hopefully I can read ass many next year! (Starting tomorrow.) :)

Claudine DiMuzio / Just Jane 1813 | 197 comments Thanks Debbie. I haven't read any by Jane Odiwe yet, but I am intrigued!

I love her stories.....I haven't found one of hers that I didn't like, but I think this is her best.
