I also have a few left on the 2019 list (and have given myself permission not to complete it) and am looking forward to the 2020 version!
I'm excited to do this challenge! I didn't participate in 2019, but I've been looking for a reading challenge for 2020 and I'm glad I found out about this one.
I printed it out this morning! Can’t wait to get started! I’m going to start picking out my future reads.
I have 8 incomplete prompts, and I know they’ll remain that way. I’m allowing myself to be ok with that. I’ve already finished 37 books this year! Single mom to three, homeschooling mom to two, and leukemia & epilepsy warrior mom to one. I’d say that’s a success!!! I’m ready for the 2020 challenge. Can’t wait!
I’m joining in this year but not quite sure I’ll try for all of them. It may be a little easier this year than any other year since I have kids going through BYL level 7. Which makes me wonder if an update might be rolling out in 2021?
I’m new this year. Shannon inspired me to give it a shot this year. I’ve got it all printed out and ready to go!

Yes - I do plan on updating Level 7, hopefully over the summer. So yes, it will be done by 2021. ;)
Many of the Level 7 books will work towards completing the prompts, so that will give you a great chance at completing the challenge!

I have a note that the book club is reading The Night Circus... is that the YouTube club or a good reads club... I just got my copy!

We'll be doing that in the Arrrgh Booked book club on my YouTube channel! I'll be doing a live show at the end of the month to discuss. :)

Great Thanks!! Just got my copy in the mail!!
First time participant and I’m suuuper excited! I saw a comment saying a particular book could check multiple boxes in the challenge which got me wondering if each challenge topic should be fulfilled by one book (so 40 topics = 40 books) or can a single book meet multiple topics?

You can do it however you want to! That's the beauty of it. No one will police you about it! Some of my books are middle grade (I read them with the kids). Some of my books are graphic novels (I have one for South America planned). You do the challenge however you want to!
This will be my first year, and I'm trying to do it on my own and have the older kids complete it as well. Some of my reads may be theirs that I'm prereading but hopefully many will be my own independent reads. I did not make enough time for reading last year!
This is my first year. I’m going to be using some independent reads and some of the read alouds I’m using with my son; im taking it easy, this first time out.
This is my second year. I didn't actually end up completing 2019, but I'm going to try to complete 2020!
My first year...I tried to do this last year, but then a broken toilet flooded my house, and I read very little for 6 months while I was displaced to rebuild. I'm back to "normal" life and ready to take this on.
I’m going to give it a go - I think I will be like Danielle and use some of the ones I read to my kids, and some I read to myself otherwise I don’t think I will have a hope of completing it...
I love this reading challenge! I'm going to try to work through it with my teen. We will definitely be including picture books and graphic novels toward our count, but I'm excited to get in some great books from around the world!
I'm excited about this challenge, as I liked the one last year but I'm going to have to alter how I do it. Thanks to a tenant leaving one of our apartment a total disaster my husband and I have had to put a freeze on hobby spending while he fixes it (no new books for me or new boardgames for him). However since my TBR pile goes across the top of the piano and has a pile going up the side I have decided to see how much of the challenge I can do only reading from mine and my daughter's TBRs. Can it be done!? we shall see.
