Kate S | 6459 comments Winter contains the Winter Solstice, the shortest day of the year, as well as February, the shortest month of the year. Read a book with a short title...so short that it only consists of one word. For this task, no subtitles are allowed.

Please post questions or recommendations for task 10.8 in this thread.

Ed Lehman | 2651 comments Would Menaechmi; Or, the Twin-Brothers by Plautus work with the words after the semi-colon being considered a sub-title?

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14248 comments No, sorry. No subtitles are allowed for this task.

Ed Lehman | 2651 comments oh boy....again the answer is in the task description. I have a stressful situation happening at home...and Its obviously affecting me.

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14248 comments I hope all rights itself soon.

Penny (Literary Hoarders) (pennyliteraryhoarders) | 123 comments Here's a couple I wrote down in my planning:

Aria by Nazanine Hozar
Annabel by Kathleen Winter
Away by Jane Urquhart
Fingersmith by Sarah Waters
Fauna by Alyssa York
Akin by Emma Donoghue
Hag by Kathleen Kaufman
Inland by Tea Obreht
BreathBreath by Tim Winton
Birdsong by Sebastian Faulks

Thanks too @Jennifer -- Galore or Sweetland by Crummey! Perfect. Bonus points too, so my originally planning is probably out the window. Ha!

And it has several members giving it 5-stars! (But the Pulitzer won't count for 20.10 as it was won in 2005.)

Valerie Brown | 3280 comments I don't think Ashenden works for this task. Could you confirm?!

Elizabeth (Alaska) | 14248 comments Valerie wrote: "I don't think Ashenden works for this task. Could you confirm?!"

It *does* work because the MPE is a single word title. (Glad you're going to read this, Valerie!)

Oh, ok! That's good news because I really wanted to use it for this task. I voted for it, so I 'should' read it! ;) I like Maugham.
