It’s in six parts in case that helps Part 1: Ch 1-6
Part 2: Ch 7-15
Part 3: Ch 16-20
Part 4: Ch 21-26
Part 5: Ch 27-38
Part 6: Ch 39-46
I’ve been meaning to read this forever so going to try and knock it off with you guys. Although I likely won’t follow page count plan but I’ll be careful on spoilers if I finish early.
I haven't been reading lately, I've never read this before, and I've never done a group read. So I'm very excited to get started!

We are happy to have you join us! If you ever fall behind, just read it within the month before the thread closes in January :)

I'm in the middle of reading Siege and Storm right now, but considering I've never done a group read here and part of me can't wait to read SoC AND prepare for the upcoming series, I'm going to give this a shot!
I started reading the first chapter and just... I wish I could write like that. I think that this will be one of those books that are just objectively good; people can find it uninteresting but it's objectively well-written. Let's just see how the plot is executed!

Her writing is one of the many reasons why I found it addicting.

I hope you enjoy at least some part of it! I'd rather not to wish loving this book onto you.

Actually, would reading Six of Crows before finishing the Shadow and Bone Trilogy spoil anything for me?
Gabriela wrote: "Actually, would reading Six of Crows before finishing the Shadow and Bone Trilogy spoil anything for me?"Nope - same world but all different characters and storyline!
Six of Crows definitely starts off strong. I'm so curious as to how the characters in chapter 1 will meet up with those in chapter 2.
I'm behind as well - wrapping up two other audios tonight and tomorrow at work so hopefully starting this one by Sunday night!
I'm behind too lol. Wednesday and friday I was in the car for 9 hours going to and from Pennsylvania for a funeral, so I've been a bit busy :)
@Maggie Awh I’m sorry for your loss! ♥️ I think we’ll catch up eventually, at least we’re all on the same page lol. Also I live in PA!
It's okay to be behind! I am behind as well, but I want to try to read today. The discussion is open all month and you can read at any pace you want, so I have faith in everyone to try their best to read this book!
Coming back to this one and hoping to finish on time! Finished chapter 3 last night and the game is on!@Maggie, very sorry for your loss!
I am very determined to dislike Kaz. Because he is already going in the "problematic fave" category but I don't want my partiality to him to hide how the other characters must see his actions (which have been assholish so far)
Good luck hating Kaz, I'm positive that he is just misunderstood. :)I'm intrigued by the symbolism of the crow. What does it mean to Kaz with the Crow's Club and what does it mean to the story?
Also dying to know the secret of Kaz's gloves.
Chapter 6(view spoiler)
On a side note, I am so in awe at how the different factions of this world are etched out. There is no paragraph in which they are directly explained but the reader gets a clear cut view of the groups in which that society is fragmented and how these divisions might come into play plotwise

Yes I hope we get some interesting poece of world-building regarding the crow thing! Maybe something related to Kaz's past?
I started this one in early november, but got caught up in other stuff. I'm gonna try and catch up with yall this week! :0
@Petronilla “I am very determined to dislike Kaz” hahahah good luck with that! He isn’t as bad as you think, evil wise
Rivka wrote: "@Petronilla “I am very determined to dislike Kaz” hahahah good luck with that! I actually finished the book and the author did make a good job of that with the expedient of (view spoiler)

I really enjoy how you explain his character because it is very dual sides like a Gemini and I found it one of the best parts of his character when we could see the softer side of him.
