Hey everyone, I don't know why I've never put my own blog here, I'm such a knob.
http://www.rjmiller.weebly.com
Also I want to let you all know about a book that I've published two short stories in. You may have heard a whisper about Menage-a-20, Tales with a Hook. This is a free ebook, the authors involved make no royalties. We (the moderators of On Fiction Writing) wanted to promote the talent within the group so we did this.
There are two Canadian authors in this book. Myself, and Susan Curnow. Give it a read, you'll find something you like in it I promise. Here's the link:
http://www.menage-a-20.com
Carlos has included some other goodies there and make sure you read the legal pages and everything, they're unlike any others you'll ever read.
If you read, please review. If you like, pass the link along.
Thanks guys.

Events dictated I start a blog. So I did. Mostly about books, photography, and the world of Canlit.
Interesting blog A.J. I'll have to revisit to read it more.
And I'm curious, what did you mean by 'Well if we're doing this...'?

Oh okay, I forgot it was here too. I actually started a new one. Then I had to delete it. How bad is that?

I have 3 blogs, I'd like to share with you:
1.) Business - Premium Promotional Services *You Write - We Promote* http://www.premiumpromotions.biz
2.) Free Marketing Tips for Writers *Conquer All Obstacles* - http://www.joconquerobstacles.com
3.) Journey to Publication *Jo-Anne Vandermeulen*- http://www.joconquerall.com
Thank you for allowing me to share...:).
Blessings;
Jo
Thanks Jo, and anyone who hasn't checked out her sites, they are definitely worth a look. I'm not saying that just to be nice either. They really are worth looking at.

Hello!
As with Andrew, 'events dictated I start a blog'. :)
This is a new realm for me - input and comments greatly encouraged. I plan to evolve the blog to include a lot about books, writing and publishing. For the next little while, though, it will be a forum for the events that did the dictating. It would be great if you stopped by: Literal Life
Very nice Jennifer, and I mean it. Your blogs are 'natural' and entertaining but with lots of facts and resources available. I think you'll do just fine and congratulations, your win is a big deal. Have fun at the Olympics.

Thank you so much. I appreciate the feedback. The win hasn't fully set in, yet. I have little "WOW!!" moments every now and then, but it's a bit surreal at this point. I can't wait for the adventure to begin in Vancouver.
I bet, I'd be doing a little dance in those "WOW!!" moments, that is an accomplishment you should be very proud of. But if your entry in any way reflected your ability to 'report' as you've done in your blog, I can see why you placed so well. You write as you 'speak' and I find many journalists have trouble with this. I don't like to feel like I'm reading a news report, even if that's what it is.
Let us know the link to the blog and we'll check it out. Or did you already? I don't remember, I just read all of the posts and came right back. Is it your blog or the Globe and Mail's blog? Oh, I can read but my comprehension skills are obviously needing some improvement.
Anyway, post the link here and then we'll all remember to look. And Take lots of pictures.

Hi Renee.
Thanks!! There has definitely been a bit of dancing in between moments of "Holy crap! Now what am I going to do?". LOL.
Literal Life is my personal blog. Once I am in Vancouver, I will be contributing to the Globe and Mail's Olympic blog as well as contributing to their print edition. Once the Globe's blog is set-up, I will link it here, if that's okay? I just hope to get enough practice in on my own site before I am unleashed on an unsuspecting Canada. There will be lots of pictures and, if I am lucky, some interviews too.

There's nothing quite like the feeling of having your ship come in on something like this.

Hi Andrew! Thank you so much. It is all going to be an unbelievable experience, I think. When the feeling fully reveals itself, I will let you know! It's a real mash-up in my brain at the moment. :) Cheers!

If you're at all interested in an article I wrote about Cambie Village (which was greatly disrupted by the construction of the Canada Line in preparation for the Olympics), the pdf of the magazine is here:
http://www.sadmag.ca/wp-content/uploa... (the article is "Uprooted" on p. 21-24).
I've also checked out your links Jo-Anne ... extremely helpful, as marketing and promotion is definitely not my strong suit!
Nice to connect with you all ... I've been following the conversations quietly.

Hi Stuart. Thanks for sharing. I enjoy the fact you made the very exclusive top ten list! Is that wrong? The entire list was all so juicy. My goodness. :)
Melissa wrote: "Great blog Jennifer (very visually appealing too!) I live in Vancouver and heartily welcome you to the city. I will definitely follow your Globe & Mail blog..."
Hi Melissa. Thank you so much! I am interested in your article. I have wondered how the population has endured all of the construction related to readying the city for the Olympics. I am glad you decided to say hello. I am off to read your article now. :)

I hail from Nova Scotia and I write fantasy fiction and poetry.
I have a website: Afallon Website and a blog: A. F. Stewart's Blog. I do book reviews and author interviews/guest posts at my blog.
Welcome A.F. It is great to see so many authors in this group (not me though, I only write reports for work) and from all across the country. I look forward to your participation in the group.
I have passed along your website and blog to my brother because your genre seems right up his alley.

Thanks, I'm checking back in with some of the groups I've sorely neglected these past few months.
It was nice of you to pass on my links, I appreciate it.

Just wanted to let everyone know that Linda Poitevin, who hails from Ottawa, is guesting today on my blog, discussing the topic "what if" and sharing a sneak peek at her debut novel, A Fairy Tale for Gwyn.
There are prizes up for grabs for those who leave comments.

I really like your page! Hope they do that Dr. Who movie, would really like to see Rose Tyler in it though. I've been a Dr. Who fan for years but rarely saw the last Dr.

My book review blog is plain and simple, since I didn't know what I was doing in the first place:

Betty...I went ahead and pinged your blog to over 90 Social Bookmarkets. Should get some major traffic in the next couple of weeks.
Have a great night...:).

Thanks, Betty, this whole blog thing is new for me so let me know if there's anything you ever want me to address. I'm known for having strong opinions and am very good at researching (especially doggy topics, I subscribe to a number of veterinary journals).

My God, those are some funny videos David. My big fat best friend David had me spitting out my coffee. Thanks, I'll have to figure out how to clean it off the keyboard so my keys don't stick again.

Very nice blog Lori Ann. I like the story about the book store and I'm going to steal that little marketing technique. I pretend to be famous all the time anyway, it won't be a stretch. Of course, mostly it's in my head...
I'll let you know how it goes...when I have a book to show them. I'd have to steal another right now and that wouldn't be the right thing to do. What if that author really did show up and offer to sign? they'd be like, "What do you mean I already signed?" then they'd look at the signature and their face would redden as their eyes lit with irritation and fury. "That damn Renee's been here again!"
Sigh, told you I was famous.
Sigh, told you I was famous.

Put down the blonde wig, Renee.
You're right, blond doesn't go with my freckles. But, I could pass as Meyer...but who wants to do that?
Ouch. Sorry, I went there and I shouldn't have. I'll go stand in the corner.

Oh, thanks. Jeeze, my legs were getting tired and um...we need to do something about the housekeeping around this place, I nearly got stuck in all those cobwebs.

My novel is "Owe Nothing", a somewhat offbeat blue collar adventure-drama, set in Vancouver.
