my thread isn't abandoned, but nobody is viewing it

my thread isn't abandoned, but nobody is viewing it and it's too soon to bump it according to group rules. How can I know if it's getting viewed when nobody comments on it? I am frustrated that I can't find this book and nobody is helping!!

We're sorry you're frustrated, but this group has 49,085 members so we really have to ask everyone to observe the rules.

You can't truly know if people are seeing it - which is why we encourage people to bump once a month to get new members seeing it, and old members who missed it when you first posted.

Right now your thread has 22 views. That will go up when you bump it on November 30.

I've been trying to look for the book for over 10 years. Unfortunately typing in the details I remember into Google search has no results. I understand that there are alot of members but I keep getting worried about my post getting pushed down the queue and harder to find will get it moved into abandoned. I wish there was a way to know how many people view a post.

you're right there isn't. I posted my book under unsolved, YA Takes place in Hollywood, CA, published 80s or 90s.

Jennie, we will never move your thread into Abandoned as long as you are still actively looking for it. We only move threads into Abandoned if 1) the member leaves the group; or 2) a moderator asks if you're still looking for the book and two years goes by and you still haven't responded.

Besides, moving a thread into Abandoned doesn't close the thread. The OP can always post in the thread that they're still looking for the book and we will quickly move it out of Abandoned.
