The Chain Locker question

Okay, I'm working on a naval suspense novel. I've got something like 30 chapters. Each chapter starts with a date/time in military lingo (eg: 14 Sept 2019 / 1615 hours) plus location (USS Endeavor, at sea). So far, so good, but many chapters have multiple scenes separated from the previous scene by dashes (-----) in the first line. Sometimes the second scenes are not the same time or location as the previous scenes. So... is a bunch of dashes sufficient separation for second scenes, or should I do a date /time / location at the beginning of subsequent scenes within a chapter? Yours in confusion, WGG
