SOLVED. Adult a woman’s husband dies and she is turned into a vampire on a dare or bet

human female’s husband dies and she is in a bar grieving and drinking. There are two vampires in the bar and one is daring or betting the other to turn her. They do this every couple decades daring to turn a human. Most don’t survive not sure if it’s because they kill them after the turn or because they don’t survive the turn. She is turned around the age of 50ish and she is plus size after her turn her body changes and she looks much much younger and no longer plus size. She ‘awakes’ we’re the vamps have her body stashed and flees not sure if she makes it back home but she can’t stay there, not sure if it’s because she killed someone after she escapes or she overheard the vamp talking about killing her so she flees

Later in the book she takes a job as a night bodyguard/security for a rich tech guy

I think towards the end of the book she is brought before other vamps along with the one who turned her. He is supposed to get permission for turning vamps because your ‘turner’ guides the new vamp or something and they discover they have either been turning and killing vamps or letting them loose and the vamp that turns her is killed
