Are these characters under 18?Would you describe this as dystopian science fiction?

I can only distinctly remember one scene but it's better than nothing I suppose:
So for a while this couple (a male and female) have been running from the authority taking over the place. They run into a secret society of people living underground, and take refuge there.
They stay there for a bit, and the "leader" of the group, Leif, is checking out the female half of the main character set. One night, when her boyfriend isn't present in her room, Leif sneaks on in (drunk, as she explained) and starts kissing her and all that nasty stuff. She screams, and lo and behold, her boyfriend shows up, knocks Leif out with a swift punch and they get on outta there.
