33 - A book with at least a four-star rating on Goodreads
I'm trying to pick most of my books from ones I already own, and this one was harder than I thought it'd be. Most of my books are just under the 4 star rating. Luckily Lamb: The Gospel According to Biff, Christ's Childhood Pal fits the bill.
This is fairly simple-as Sara suggested, I am going to start with my Goodreads TBR _for me that's my Want to Read shelf.) BUT I also think this is a great place to put an unplanned book that happens to have at least a 4 star rating that I decide to read for fun or for some other challenge, etc.
I'm using this prompt as an excuse to pick up Holly Black's The Folk of the Air series & I'm rather excited about that!! All 3 in the trilogy are currently above 4 star ratings on GR so I'm sure that by the time I get around to them next year at least one of them will still be! & I'll fit another from the series into the author with flora/fauna in their name prompt =DThe Cruel Prince
The Wicked King
The Queen of Nothing

Sarah wrote: "My highest rated novel out of my physical TBR shelves is The Heart's Invisible Furies, at 4.47."That book is SO GOOD.
I am reading the first Wheel of Time book which has a 4.19 rating so I am going to use this book for this prompt.
I just finished Verity and it was soooooo good! 4.36 rating on goodreads and also can be cross listed as meeting the 7 deadly sins challenge (lots and lots of lust).
I read Tell the Wolves I'm Home and was happy to see it was just over 4. It was a great read - I stayed up way too late because I had to know what was going to happen. I was wrong in what I thought was going to happen, but even once I realized that I just needed to know how everything wrapped up.
I fulfilled this prompt with The Art of Star Wars: The Last Jedi by Phil Szostak. I enjoyed seeing the development of various concepts and reading some choice quotes from creative people involved in the movie.
I accidentally filled this one with The Painted Garden by Mary Woodin. It has 4.5 stars on GoodReads. :)
I used it for a different one, but this book has over a 4 star rating, Sounds Like Me: My Life (So Far) in Song
I’m reading “The Giver of Stars” by Jojo Moyes that has a 4.34 rating at Goodreads. Just began it today and enjoying it so far.
I read Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine which has a 4.30 rating. I feel like I'm in the minority, but I didn't think it was that great.
I’m reading Wonder to my girls at night, so I’m going to use that one. We are really enjoying it and will likely watch the movie when we’re finished.
I just finished the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer and almost all the books have 4+ rating but I'm choosing #3 Cress for this prompt which has a 4.4 rating.
I read The Bear and the Nightingale which had a rating of 4.12 at the time.I'm glad I finally read this, it makes a perfect winter read and I really enjoyed it.
I went with Swamp Sniper which has a 4.43 rating. As a tip, generally later books in a series have high ratings because only the fans who love the series will read that far in. This is the third book in a cozy mystery series about an undercover CIA agent in a small Louisiana town. Hilarity ensues with her new octogenarian pals. It's a really fun book that you just don't think too hard about.

I can't use this since I already posted one that fits, but this one works, This Life I Live: One Man's Extraordinary, Ordinary Life and the Woman Who Changed It Forever so I'm adding it to the Listopia now :)
I read Ask Again, Yes by Mary Beth Keane for this prompt. It was good, but I didn’t rate it at 4 stars. Only 3 for me.
This Is Going to Hurt: Secret Diaries of a Junior Doctor - Hilarious with a 4.42 rating, would recommend!
I read Glass Houses by Louise Penny. It is rated 4.3 stars on Goodreads but I only gave it a 3. I just couldn't get into it.
I've decided to to read Raag Darbari by Shrilal Shukla. It's a popular social and political satire set in India. It has a 4.40 average rating.
A book that I'm thinking will satisfy this prompt for me is Big Little Lies by Liane Moriarty. This story is about three mothers who are all at a crossroad in their lives as the story builds up to a murder mystery. It has an average rating of 4.27 on Goodreads and I am on schedule to finish it tomorrow, as I literally cannot wait to find out how the story ends!
Bodymap by Leah Lakshmi Piepzna-Samarasinha serves a shout out. She identifies as a queer brown (Sri Lankan) cis femme with a disability, and wow, her poetry is honest and raw and very moving. If you are looking for incisive poetry that vacillates between tender and tough and always real, this is it.
