SOLVED. Crime novel- a guy from jail changes with his bunk partner. [s]

This novel starts with a crime.. I don’t remember what it was but the main character (X) gets caught and he is not responsable for what he is being accused of. once he is in jail he changes his identity with his bunk partner because he is going to die and they look very similar. His bunk partner goes to the bathroom with X id and dies. And X gets out as if he was the other guy. Once he is out he hides and he is after a big heritage (I think it was from the dead from jail) X disguises as one one else and he Vistis the layer and eventually he gets the heritage and becomes very rich. I think but I’m not sure that the heritage has something to do with a collection of stamps but I don’t know or sure. He finally demonstrates he is not guilty of why he is being charged of. I’m sorry I don’t have more information but that’s all I can remember so far. I already looked in my Library, my moms and my dads Library, I’ve looked in every place I can think of and I Can’t find it. I don’t know what it is but I just have this in my head that I need to know the name of the book. Thank you for your time and for trying to help me.
