Help combining/separating multiple editions.

Hi,

I have four listings combined into one book (Picco Puppy Loves Soccer).

They are all the same story, except they are different books because they target different markets.

Picco Puppy Loves Soccer has ASIN B07XH4HQ7V.
Picco Puppy Loves Football has ASIN B07XGBZH7T.

Can I have them as TWO different books, keeping ONE listing (version with ASIN) of each?

If I can only have the one book, then please only keep ONE "other edition" (ASIN version) for Picco Puppy Loves Football.

Also, how can I update the book covers? I tried deleting them on the site but it said only a librarian could do that. I don't want to create a new edition. I just want to update the cover photo. Is that possible on Goodreads?

Goodreads keeps all editions of a work (regardless of target markets) combined into a single work.

Goodreads policy is to keep all published covers on the site, as users want to shelve the cover of the copy they have. Instead, we add an alternate-cover edition. See http://www.goodreads.com/topic/show/1... and https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/....

As the author, you will have the ability to change which edition of the book is the default, which will come up in searches by title and show on your author profile. Here's how: https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/3...

Hi Rivka, Thanks for your help. I followed the instructions on https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/.... I set this book as the primary edition - https://www.goodreads.com/book/edit/4.... The page shows, "This book is manually set to be the primary edition of this work." When I search for the book, that edition is NOT the edition shown. https://www.goodreads.com/search?q=Pi... + https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4.... What did I do wrong?

It takes the search a little while to update after you manually set the default. Looks fine now.
