Ally TeaBooks&Me | 4 comments This is next in my tbr pile after my current read, can’t wait to start it!

Ankita Padhi (ankitapadhi) I am currently in part two of the book and so far it has got me hooked! I remember trying to read this last year but I couldn't get into it. This time around though, I'm really loving the story although at times it is so very predictable but still it manages to stay interesting.

Leena Aluru (mgleena) | 580 comments Ive read this last year with another group
And its actually as you've said , predictable . Didnt meet my expectations.

Its really strange that one of my friends from.that group experienced something very similar - she could.barely resd the first 10 pages during the botm. And has just finished it
Its probably ones emotional state at that time.
Happy Reading

Kristie | 5931 comments Leena - I think your emotional state can definitely play a part in how much you enjoy a book. I know my opinion on books can be different just depending on what type of story I am in the mood for and what other books I have just read among other things.

Agreed - I think sometimes I've read books I wasn't in the mood for and judged them a little too harshly based on that.

Like The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle. I intended to read Evelyn Hugo but got my Evelyns mixed up and kept waiting for the movie starts to show up. I didn't like Evelyn Hardcastle very much and I think Evelyn Hugo a lot of passes because it was finally the right book and (view spoiler).

Dee Clayton | 5 comments I absolutely loved this book. I use Audible as I have a long commute. I really enjoyed Taylor Jenkins Reid’s writing style and it was so easy to visualise everything. I felt empathy for Monique Grant. Loved the plot and the ending. Great book and highly recommended. (Loved TJR so much I immediately moved on to Daisy Jones and the Six).

Ingrid Antezana | 6 comments Enjoyed the book, I ended with mixed feelings

Marinka | 29 comments My library still have it on hold, not sure when it will become available. I hope to read this month.😩

Yeah, it made me wonder how many times something like this has happened that we haven't been aware of. There was a recent contestant on American Idol whose grandpa (view spoiler).

Maina | 11 comments this book wasn't what I was expecting in the absolute best way possible! I recently read Daisy Jones, and TJR has such a way of making fictional characters seem real! I can't wait to read more of her work. I did feel like the ending and the reveal at the end was a bit rushed and wanted a little bit more development of that. But five star rating for me!
