When I can't find a book by the title, I search the author only to find that the book is listed in goodreads. What gives? The title is the same one I entered in my search.

Jo Anne, The search here is not perfect. I've found it helps to find a book by title, it helps if you can enter in the first or last name or full name of the author too. Sometimes that makes a difference. Goodreads is working on the search feature to try to make it better. For now, it helps to enter as much information as you know.
The search is in the process of being re-indexed, and will get worse before it gets better. ISBN always works best, if you know it.
I have similiar problem when I want to add a book called 1859 Dni Warszawy to my comment and I search by a title, but I get No book found. First I have to make search by the author. And the book exists for quite a long time on GoodReads.
