I also read Circe and it fit the bill nicely. I had struggled to find something more "traditional" to slot here, and while I'd been meaning to read this one, it took me a while to realize it would be a good fit. I enjoy rediscovering mythology and folklore, and I did a lot of research while reading this one and was pleasantly surprised with how close she stuck to the traditional myth while at the same time giving it her own spin. I even convinced a friend to read it, and she liked it so much she went and bought the book for her shelf after returning it to the library.

I’m using The Craftsman by Sharon Bolton. I was planning on using that for the two word title and the first word is ‘the’ but as I’m reading it a coven of witches plays a significant role in the story. Since I think that category will be easier to fill than the witch one, I’ll use it here.
1. What are you reading for this category?I am reading Children of Blood and Bone by Tomi Adeyemi
2. Why did you choose this book?
It's not a book I chose to read myself, it's a book club read, but I was desperate to fit it into the ATY challenge somehow. It is about magic and whilst witches are not referenced in this book at all, I feel like magic is related enough to make it count...
1. What are you reading for this category?Bedknobs and Broomsticks, by Mary Norton
2. Why did you choose this book?
My niece and I have a book club, and this was her choice.
Read The Heretic's Daughter a superb book about the Salem Witch Trials. Frightening to think that the things in this book are real.
I went with the short story collection Midsummer Night because several of these fantasy stories refer to witches and witchcraft.
I loved, loved, loved Circe by Madeline Miller for this challenge. I usually read something on Greek mythology every few years, but this novel was so good, I'm looking forward to picking up The Song of Achilles very soon. The author really nails it when it comes to beautiful writing and perfect tone, delivering a most picturesque novel about this magical goddess.
1. What are you reading for this category? Stardust2. Why did you choose this book? A booktuber brought it up recently and it was a good fit for this prompt.
What are you reading for this category?I read Witch Child by Celia Rees
Why did you choose this book?
I had, had it on my list of books to be read since 2017 and working my way down the list it was the first book about a witch I found. I am really pleased I have read it as I thoroughly enjoyed it. Well worth the 5 stars I have rated it.
I read The Girl Who Drank the Moon for this prompt. I bought it on a whim at Powell's in Portland a couple years ago and have meant to read it ever since.
I read A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. It was an obvious choice for this prompt, but one of the reasons I chose this particular witchy book is that it fit a prompt I loved and wanted to include in my parallel reject challenge - a book with a historical landmark on its cover or as a setting.
I read The Winter of the Witch by Katherine Arden because I had been meaning to finally finish this trilogy for awhile now and it fit the prompt perfectly.
