Appearance: Mirage is a yellowish-amber, with dark yellow spots all over his body. He has small amber earrings in both of his ears. On his left talon he also wears a small gold wristband with sapphires on it, which was a gift from one of his closest friends.
Personality: Mirage is outgoing and is always looking for an adventure. He has what you might call a fiery personality, though he is very sweet when you get to know him. He loves spending time with his friends, and he also likes drawing and reading scrolls.
Weaknesses: Mirage often overreacts when things do not go his way, and sometimes acts before he thinks. He also has a short and hot temper.
Strengths: Mirage is a quick thinker and very strong.
Likes: Mirage likes art and scrolls, spending time with friends, the color lime, and baking.
Dislikes: He does not like traveling, cold temperatures, IceWings, and the Ice Kingdom (WAY too cold...)

Personality: Mesa-Plateau wants to be the leader. ALWAYS. She doesn't like to listen to her henchmen, but knows they sometimes know something that would make life easier for a villain animus who wants to get her magic back to full power. She is greedy and wants to stop at nothing to get revenge on the SandWings. Being queen would be nice, but her entire tribe hates her so she would have to use her animus magic to contain them and she would eventually drop down dead from soul loss (She obviously lost bits of her souls so much she is villainous on top of her villainous-ness). She is great at driving dragons on their nerves when she wants them to do something rash. She can also appear very nice and hide her malevolence. Very rarely, she will have real remorse for dragons, but that is usually when she makes a deal with a young, non-SandWing dragonet.
Appearance: Mesa-plateau has pale sand color scales that she enchanted to change between shades of red, orange, yellow, and brown like a real mesa plateau. She has piercing black eyes that despite being roundish, still reminds people *cough* dragons of obsidian arrowheads. If someone were to lift the enchantments on her, not only were the extra colors go away, but one would see multiple scars across her flank, a long scar starting above the right eye and ending at her jawline on the left side, and part of her tail eaten away near the middle. Despite often pretending to be a hunch-backed beggar, when she wants to look pretty, she can and does.
Backstory: Mesa learned she was an animus fairly late in life, but when she did, she used it a lot, sometimes to help her friends and sometimes for herself. One day she saw another animus go crazy and saw him (or her) killed on sight. She then knew that she had to protect her soul, so she enchanted a bracelet to do so. She then enchanted her scales to regenerate her soul just in case the bracelet didn't work. She had a theory that animus objects eat up the soul constantly instead of just one time. At 8, she realized she could be queen if she just used her magic, but realized that a spell that big would kill her. Plus, she knew that the kingdom came with the price of responsibility, so that would not do. So instead she started to bully other dragons. Eventually she was banished after she caused a hurricane. She tried to use her magic to mind-control them, but another animus stopped her with force and her friend Oracle talked her out of continuously trying. Shortly afterwards, she got into a duel with Oracle. That was how she got the scars. She eventually defeated Oracle, but the last spell Oracle cast was to disable Mesa-Plateau's power. Before it hit her, Mesa-Plateau put an enchantment on Oracle so that Oracle would be trapped in a staff and if the staff was ever destroyed or Oracle set free, Oracle would die. As Oracle was weak, the spell malfunctioned and Mesa-plateau still had her animus ability, but she would have to only use it in a bargain. And she couldn't bargain with any relations of hers, (friends, enemies, family, etc.) for the animus magic to work. Since the spell was cast however, Mesa-Plateau's animus magic has grown stronger and with some people she loves she can create bargains with now at certain times of day. She also took Oracle's orphaned twin children, Quasar and Pulsar (ages 1 at the time and too young to remember anything), as henchmen.

1. bracelet/Scales: Enchanted to protect her from animus magic and regenerate her soul. Once she sheds them, they are useless. Status: In Mesa's possession, active
2. Full-heal amulet (a teardrop-cut sapphire pendant on a short silver chain): Enchanted to fully heal any ailment when squeezed by the hurt/sick, even if they are at the brink of death. Status: Stolen by Landslide, active
3. Oracle Staff (A long golden staff with a topaz cut like fire on the top, the gem is wound in copper-plated-gold wire. The image of a NightWing is encased in the topaz, curled up in pain.): Enchanted to imprison Oracle the NightWing alive until the staff is broken. Oracle gains power from the staff to survive and sometimes to cure hunger and quench thirst. She still feels the pain from her mortal wounds, but will not die until the staff is broken. When waved in a specific pattern, the encasing subsides and Mesa is able to ask Oracle a question, which Oracle must answer truthfully if she knows the answer. Oracle cannot be in this "subsided encasing state" for longer than 2 minutes or else she will die. Status: Active, In Mesa-Plateau's possession.
4.Bargain Weights and scales (Gold measuring scales with bronze weights representing her side and lead and iron weights for whoever she is bargaining with): Enchanted to decide if a bargain is fair or not. Each weight represents part of the bargain. The bargain cannot be struck unless it is deemed fair or in the bargainee's favor by the scales. As Mesa's power grew, the scales allowed for some leeway sometimes, during important events (Mesa's hatching day, Oracle's death day, two or three full moons, etc.) Status: Active, in Mesa-Plateau's possession.
5. Weather staff (a rod with grain inside and shells attached to the end): Depending on how the staff is moved and how violently, the weather within a 30-meter radius will change. Status: Deactivated by Oracle, in Mesa's possession.
Shadowknife: Enchanted to turn anything it cuts into a shadow-like thing, no mater how deep. Enchanted for young Pulsar and Quasar before Oracle's death. Active, in Shadowmaker's possession.

Personality: Pulsar is very outspoken and demanding, but has learned that their guardian-turned-employer's word is final. He, like his brother, often has to hide his emotions from Mesa-Plateau, as he and his brother feel emotions more vividly than Mesa-Plateau. Pulsar also wants to be the boss of the rest of the henchmen when Mesa-plateau is not around. Pulsar can be reckless at times, but he shares many interests with his brother. Pulsar also ends up talking a lot, sometimes letting slip something and gets a beating from Mesa-Plateau. Pulsar also gets jealous of his brother at times since Quasar is Mesa-Plateau's favorite henchman, treated obviously like a son, while Pulsar feels as if he mostly gets beatings instead of love. Pulsar has a lot more trouble holding his tongue, but he has tricked a lot of dragons into believing that Pulsar is Quasar Quasar is a lot more secretive and mysterious. He doesn't talk as much as Pulsar unless it is to trick someone into believing Quasar is Pulsar. Quasar often leans to the side of cation, but can easily be bribed to do something more dangerous. Quasar is sometimes jealous of Pulsar because when Quasar gets a beating, his nature prevents him from saying anything that would shorten the beating, even though Pulsar get the beatings more often than Quasar. Both share a mutual agreement to keep their looks as similar as possible, often avoiding anything that could harm them, no matter the cost. They also will get over their jealousy fairly quickly as they believe they must stick together in case anything happens to Mesa-Plateau. They also have a faint memory of their mother, Oracle.
Appearance: Quasar and Pulsar look almost exactly the same with indigo-black scales covering most of their body. Their wings have scattered silver scales across their wings, usually more clustery than most other NightWings, like giant stars or just a cluster of stars. They have actual black scales scattered across their wings, but you would have to be in very good light to see them. That is where you can see the difference. Quasar has one small cluster of black scales on his right wing, while Pulsar has the same cluster on his left. You would also have to look hard to find the identifying cluster as it is way off to the side, almost at the edge of the wing on both Quasar and Pulsar.
Backstory: Their father left them when they were still in the egg. Rumors have spread that their father ran off with another dragon, (reality is that their father went for late-night hunting, but strayed too far into SandWing territory and was bitten by a dragon-bite viper) The twins were still in their den when their mother was killed and Mesa-Plateau told them that their mother was bitten by dragon-bite viper while coming to meet Mesa-Plateau and it was too late by the time Mesa-Plateau arrived. Pulsar and Quasar mostly did Mesa-Plateau's dirty work of cleaning the den and making sure her treasure was in order. soon they were promoted to helping Mesa-Plateau with finding targets. as they got older, they started becoming suspicious of Mesa's story, yet their fear of her prevented them from confronting her about it. Pulsar one time accidentally dropped antimony pounder into Mesa's coffee and Mesa-Plateau nearly (Censored for those who want to save themselves from a disturbing mental image)(view spoiler).

Appearance: (drawn references here) Dove is a tall, well-built dragon who was born with albinism. Her scales are a pinkish white, with a stripe of pure white tracing from her chin to the end of her tail. She has a few pale scars littered around her body, each with a slightly embarrassing story to tell. Her eyes are a bold shade of red, though she often covers them from the harsh sun during the day. Dove generally wears a wide-brimmed hat or tinted glasses (sometimes both) when it’s bright out. She also always wears a well-worn satchel, containing a journal and writing material, a canteen of water, snacks, and whatever other interesting knick knacks she has lying around.
Personality: Dove spends most of her time alone, caring for herself and her birds, so she is often lonely and always very happy to have guests. She can be overly doting and often overshares her feelings with strangers because she hasn’t had much practice with boundaries in a while. Despite this, Dove tends to be very pragmatic and straightforward in her reasoning and speaking, and complex metaphors or symbolism often fly over her head. Dove dislikes being around many dragons at once and often struggles to remain focused in crowds. She tends to get very anxious and fidgety during storms, as she worries that one of her flock might get injured or lost in the downpour.
Backstory: Dove was raised by two fairly distant parents, who never really took an interest in her. They were both very career oriented dragons, who ran a small (often struggling) handmade jewelry store together. Their intention in having a dragonet was to eventually have another set of hands around the shop, but Dove’s unusual coloration only served to keep customers away. Instead of working with her parents, Dove spent her free time in the pine forests of the sky kingdom, learning as much as she could about the animals that lived there. She eventually took a special interest in the local birds, and began learning from a nearby falconer and the local library everything that she could. Dove’s parents kicked her out of the nest as soon as she turned seven, so she spent a few years living with the falconer before finally striking out on her own in the skywing wilderness.

Appearance: Longleaf is a tall, wiry dragon with dull eyes and a permanently exhausted expression. He has a long, thick ruff of dark green icewing spines around his head and down his back to the end of his tail. His scales are mostly a stormy grey, with navy blue stripes running down either side of his spine. His hands and feet are a dark green that fades as it goes up his arms and legs, and his body is covered in pale green flecks that mimic the appearance of freckles. He has a small bag that fits around his wing and is completely hidden when he folds them tightly.
Personality: Due to Longleaf’s condition (see abilities) he genuinely cannot sleep for more than a few hours each night. This, combined with his fairly frequent migraines, puts Pine in a horrible mood even on his best days. He is prone to snapping at undeserving dragons and getting into petty arguments. Internally he is fiercely jealous of other dragons who have had a ‘normal’ life, especially dragons who are constantly optimistic and bubbly. At the same time, he truly hates being vulnerable with others and refuses to explain why he might be upset. In hindsight Pine always feels guilty for acting so rude, but in the moment it feels too cathartic for him to think twice about it. In fact, he is generally very impulsive, not thinking about consequences until they are literally upon him.
Backstory: Longleaf has no clue as to who his biological parents could be, as he was donated to an orphanage in Sanctuary when he was two. Unfortunately, he was never successfully adopted. Instead, Pine spent most of his free time obsessively tending to the plants outside the orphanage, hoping to keep them quiet enough that he could have a good night’s sleep. By the time his sixth hatching day came around Pine was very sick of listening to the local fauna, so he decided to head for the nightwing village in the rainforest in hopes of learning how to block out the unwanted voices. Much to Longleaf’s dismay, not a single technique worked. Additionally, the huge increase in the amount of nearby plants made his migraines so, so much worse. After four grueling weeks Pine gave up on his rainforest training, convinced that the only solution for him would be found elsewhere.

Abilities: Pine suffers from an unfortunate combination of both leafspeak and mind reading abilities that forces him to always “hear” the thoughts of nearby plants. He cannot stop this ability, no matter what mind reading trick he uses or how hard he tries. Additionally, his scales are cool to the touch, though he has no frostbreath.

Appearance )) Solid white, except for her incredibly bright blue wings. WhiteStotm is an average size for her age. She has dark blue and large eyes, and a few teeth missing (you wouldn’t notice unless you looked for it). WhiteStorm has a clear crystal hanging around her neck, from her mother.
Personality )) WhiteStorm tries to stay calm, but on the inside, she has a lot of built-up rage. She’s angry at her mother for forcing her to go to jma, her father for leaving before she was born, and her supposed half-brother who never came to see her (Her half-brother is my other character, IceRise. He has no idea WhiteStorm exists). She never knew how to get it out, and often ruins friendships in sudden bursts of it.
Backstory )) Her mother, also mother of IceRise, had WhiteStorm three years later, and raised her on the border between the SandWings and IceWings in case IceRise ever needed her. Again, IceRise thinks his mother is dead and doesn’t know about WhiteStorm. Her father vanished when she was young. WhiteStorm’s mother thought it would be a good idea to send her to jma, and sent her there.

Appearance: Fir is (almost) completely white. So white it looks like a can of white paint was dumped over him. You can only see blue lines where major arteries or veins are, and even then you would have to look closely. Also, having accidentally scratched himself deeply when hatching, Fir has a faint, pink scar diagonally across the top of his snout. This is the reason why his LeafWing adopted parents, expecting a daughter, almost named him Magnolia. They eventually stuck with Fir as his name because he was resilient from hatching. He developed rather slowly, so he is a little short, but he is going through a growth spurt, which means he will be at least slightly above average height (Given who his biological parents…were). His eyes are sparkling teal.
Personality/backstory (Reason why: He changes over the course of his life): Fir was a very energetic dragonet, making his parents think twice why they named him Fir. He often likes to make jokes to the other LeafWings, and the bullies who would usually make fun of him when he was very little, now stay far away from him as during an attack by the bullies, he fought back with force and snarky comments so much, most of the bullies now fir *cough* fear him. He was very social and loved different types of dragons. He used to be very protective of his younger sister, but when he was brainwashed by an animus, he completely changed. He became jealous of his younger sister as she got to go to train as a medic while he was still trying to get a job somewhere that he actually liked/ he could do. While juggling school and being Chamomile’s bodyguard for some unknown reason (Chamomile’s symbiosis with plants did not help in convincing him Chamomile was blind after his brainwash). He eventually felt under appreciated as well as believing his adopted parents were manipulating everyone. So he ran away from home with a map to the IceWing kingdom. There he felt like he could do anything he wanted since he was with his own kin. He started studying architecture and loved to sculpt ice. He usually spends more time building than sculpting, but he will never let down anyone if they are in need of defense against someone who wants to hurt them, or if they just want an ice sculpture.

Personality: as a busy mom of two, soon to be three, Vaquita usually is tired at the end of the day, but will usually not let her tiredness get the best of her. She has been less tired since her two children went to Jade Mountain Academy, but her usual liveliness also dimmed. She is not what you would call a social dragon: she works as a librarian, but more to make sure the scrolls are in order than to answer questions. But her scroll fixing and bookbinding skills are legendary, because she often has to fix scroll or books worn from lots of use (and careless dragon talons). She will gladly accept a publishing job, and will ask for clarifications on a certain part of a story if necessary.
Appearance: Vaquita has blue scales on her back, tail, and most of her head. She has darker gray-blue scales on her snout and face, wings and limbs (her two (view spoiler) children take after their father more than their mother). She has ink on her talons like Queen Coral, but much more prominent stains that sometimes appear more on her arms.
Backstory: Vaquita had a fairly decent childhood: she wasn't royalty, but she was allowed a few years in an elite school. She loved books and wanted to work with them, but only later did she learn that not all high-paying book jobs need to be done with other dragons. She ran away from the SeaWing kingdom when rumor spread that she was selling information to the MudWings. When she was safe on land (and Queen Coral found the culprit, but Vaquita did not know that) a SandWing offered her a job as a librarian in Possibility. Years later, they fell in love and (despite a war raging around them) had an egg. Unfortunatly, the SandWing died when they were caught in the crossfire of Burn's and Blister's armies, as did the egg that her husband was holding at the time (view spoiler). When a SeaWing told her that Vaquita was allowed back in the SeaWing kingdom. Years later she mated again and this time had two dragonets. She found her love of writing and often writes stories for young dragonets.

Appearance: Abyss has almost completley dark green scales, and even on his wings only a couple white scales. His tail is shriveled as if there was never any blood flowing to it. He’s smeared many red splotches of pant over his face.
Personality: Insane. Abyss went insane, no one knows when or why, and meaninglessly wander the old NightWing island. Upon meeting someone, he will insist that they join his ‘kingdom’ which includes him and a dead mouse. If they agree to join, Abyss will take them to his cave and heals/feeds them for as long as they stay. If they don’t join, he treats them the same and asks to heal them. In terms of conversation, Abyss just giggles and talks about politics in his made-up world that he insists is real. The only times when he’s not insane is when someone referes to a ruler in his world, such as ‘wing,’ queen of the ‘WingWings,’ he will become serious and talk about the ruler. The rulers of his world reference the rulers of Pyrriah. For instance, queen wing appears to be the same queen as Queen Coral.
Backstory: Abyss went insane somewhere around the age of 8. He has no known living relatives. See personality for more details.

Personality )) {{@}} Minnow is very sweet and would never hurt a fly when you first meet her but when it comes to her siblings she will protect them at all cost and she is the biggest of them all. She can be very aggressive when she is fighting and can be a bit troublesome but she has a soft side to her that others don't see unless your her siblings.
Backstory )) Like how all other Mudwings are born, Minnow was born first and helped her siblings out but they were different from the rest and they looked kind of like a mix between Seawings and Mudwings. Minnow had about six siblings that all had different colors but they were mainly mudwing and Seawing colors, mainly a few dark blues, browns and even some greens, so they were not very welcomed in the Mudwing kingdom so they lived on the outskirts and never really spoke to anyone but they all got into Jma together.

Backstory: When she was young she never knew of her condition and nobody else knew what was wrong with her, some say it maybe she was just a shy little Rainwing, but her family loved her no matter if she couldn’t speak. From there she lived a normal silent life with her family, however she was made fun of countless of times and as a result she rarely tries to make new friends knowing that she might do something wrong. A weird thing that had happened to her once was that she had a dream that she had met a dragon that was unlike any she had ever seen but all she knew was that she became good friends with them. She sometimes looks at herself as a bother to others, but on some occasions if she sees and opportunity to make a friend she will take it. One day her family decided to enroll her to jade mountain academy in hopes of her making new friends and learning various things, once she heard about this she began to jump with joy and excitement. And once there she learned so many new things, she also spent most of her time in the library where she began thinking of a new language for those who can’t speak, being sign language but she still has yet to make it and does require the help of others.

She is actually a decent fighter, she may be small but she is definitely mighty. She is swift on her feet and often uses her small size to her advantage when fighting. She learned most of what she knows on fighting from her older brother.
Personality: She is pretty much the opposite of her twin sister, she's really outgoing and loves to meet new dragons. She is overly friendly and is almost always positive. She is also very protective of the dragons she cares about, such as her sister. The two are very close and she will fight whoever even says a negative thing about her. (Even if it is for the smallest thing) She acts happy-go lucky most of the time, but she can be serious when she needs to be. She isn't the most responsible dragon. She is also veryyyy forgetful as well and often gets off task. She is pretty curious and loves to explore new places. She is often straightforward with dragons, if she has something to say she will say it. She rarely cares about what other dragons think about her.
Appearance: She is also pretty small for her age, though she is just slightly bigger then Hestia. Just like her twin, her wings look much larger then they would for someone her size. She also has mostly crimson scales and dark yellow scales that look almost golden. She has light amber eyes. The main notable difference look wise between her and Hestia is that she has a small scar on her snout from a fight she got into when she was younger.
Backstory of both: Athena is the older sister as she came out of the two's egg before Hestia. Unlike a lot of skywing twins, neither of the twins have firescales. The only difference between them and your average SkyWing is that they're on the smaller size for their age. They were both raised just outside the SkyWing palace as their father and two older brothers were royal guards and their mother was a palace nurse. The two always had a love for learning and would often sneak away to the Library to read scrolls when they could. The two have a pretty close relationships with their parents and siblings, the family overall is very close and welcoming.

Gender: Male
Abilities: For the most part he has weaker abilities of the two tribes. He can breathe fire, can go a while without eating, and can fly for longer distances. Due to his difference in wing size, he isn't the fastest of fliers as it sometimes throws him off balance. He has pretty good hearing and sight. He is naturally quite warm. His Sandwing barb at the tip of his tail isn't poisonous, but it is rather sharp and can act almost like a dagger in battle.
Personality: Horus isn't one to talk a lot unless needed. He is slightly socially awkward due to him only having interacted with his parents most of his life. He is often confused by the simplest of things, as he basically lived under a rock. He really can't take a joke/exaggerations. He is slightly self conscious due to the fact he is a hybrid and doesn't look like your average dragon. He hates all types of violence, his parents both suffered from the war and he hates it. He is pretty observant and very aware of his surroundings. Though he is clumsy and often trips over his own feet/wings. He also has a pretty good memory. He will eventually open up to the people in his winglet and become more talkative, but it will take time.
Appearance: He looks much more like a Sandwing then a SkyWing. He has mostly sand and light brown scales, but on his feet, along his back, and tail there are some dark reddish brown scales. He also has couple reddish brown scales on the tip of his snout. His left wing is a big bigger then his right. Like most Sandwings he does have a barb on the tip of his tail, however it isn't poisonous. His snout looks like a SandWings, though it is slightly longer then normal. He also has long Skywing-like horns. His eyes are black.
Backstory: His parents met during the last year of the war, his father was a Sandwing and sided with Burn, while his mother was a SkyWing and tended to the wounded soldiers of both sides. His father was injured in a battle, and his mother was the one to help him. They soon fell in love and eventually had him years later. Horus was hatched 2 years after the war ended and originally grew up in a small hut hidden away at the border of the desert and the mountains due to his parents fear of him being killed for being a hybrid. Though they eventually moved to Possibility once they realized it would be safe for him when he was 5 1/2. He really enjoys it there, his mom works as a nurse/caretaker while his father helps hunt for food. He does have a younger sibling that is due to hatch soon.

Abilities: He can swim a bit faster then your average dragon, as he does have slightly webbed talons. He can breathe underwater for roughly a hour, but he doesn't like to push his time limit. He can't really see underwater. He can flash only his tail, and knows very little aquatic. He doesn't have a SandWing barb at the tip of his tail. He can go a while without eating, but doesn't enjoy it.
Personality: He is a very creative dragon, he loves to make new inventions in his free time. He is pretty closed off at first, as he has some trust issues due to having some bad past experiences. However once he gets to know someone and deems them to be good, he'll be really open with them. He can get really attached to people as he's never really had a dragon in his life that was good towards him. He loves to make the occasional really bad joke. He's not afraid to start a fight if given the chance, especially if it's to protect someone he cares about. He may act like he's still in the Scorpion den at times, with eating his food quickly, being on high defense all the time, getting ready to attack others at the slightest movement, and things like that.

Backstory: He grew up in the Scorpion den after his mother left his egg there. She was a sandwing, while his father was a seawing. She was ashamed of having what she knew would be a hybrid as a dragonet and didn't want to deal with them. The outclaws gladly took his egg in as they didn't want anything to happen to him, so they raised them. They taught him basic skills such as fighting and reading. After the outclaws disbanded, he was practically left alone as they all left to assist Queen Thorn at the castle. He had to learn to fend for himself without the help of others from a young age. He tried to trust dragons, but his ex friend, Wilddog ended up betraying him and tried to kill him in his sleep. He was on his own for another couple years, almost always trying to create new inventions in an effort to survive. When he had the chance to join Jade Mountain Academy, he gladly took it.

She has a great memory and loves to spout out random facts. However, she isn't the best at understanding other dragons and their emotions/actions, she never had many friends growing up in the rainforest. She is pretty quiet and socially awkward. Appearance )) Mars is a sandy red color, with a dull, scuffed look to his scales. He has broad, muscular shoulders but a thin serpentine shaped body. Instead of a barbed tail, his tail ends with a black claw-like appendage, that he can use in combat. Mars' spine is highlighted with a darker shade of his main scales, and he has light spot-like markings on his forearms, hind legs and freckling his snout. His horns are short, but twist inwards and have a few spikes coming off the underside. His horns are a light, fleshy color, and are striped with a slightly darker shade. He has a long burn scar that stretches all along the left side of his face, down his neck, and ending a little past his shoulder, deforming a lot of his look. Along with the burns, he has several, fully healed burn and claw scars on his chest, claws and cheeks, and one of his ears have a small piece that has came out. He's half-blind on his left side, and his good eye is a fiery, molten gold color. He has an angled head, and his tongue is a deep mahogany color. His Sandwing frill is short, and is a de-saturated version of his main scales and a little lighter, and it stops just after his hips.
Personality )) Despite his looks, he's very friendly. He can be shy, but loves to have a small group of friends. He's playful and perceptive, and can be very untrusting at times. Mars is very responsible, and usually like the dad of his friend group. Despite being young, he is very mature and well coordinated with his surroundings. He enjoys exploring new places and meeting new dragons, and he loves collecting weird little trinkets and items that he stores in his many pouches. He's much of an omnivore, and likes eating seared fish and peeled bamboo.
Backstory )) Mars is the youngest of his siblings, and was picked on. His parents never payed any mind to him, and his big brothers liked to hit him and take his things. He learned from a young age that he had to hide his things and make himself unimportant and invisible to others. When he went to school for the first time, he was picked on for his scale color, and by the time he was eight, he earned his burn scar. Two of his classmates managed to corner him and threw a pot of scalding oil at him, laughing at him and telling him that he should be sandy like the rest of them and that he was a disease. From then on he ended up running away from home for a while, and lived on his own for years until he was old enough to live in the Scorpion Den.

Personality: Don't let his easygoing looks fool you, because Pinniped has a surprisingly short temper. Woe to anyone who calls him Pin, Pen, or Ped without his permission. They will be very sorry indeed if they have two brain cells to rub together. Pinniped may not have much strength when he hatches (duh), but he will find very clever ways of getting even with whoever had done any harm to him or his family. He will not like his name, because he gets a cutsy name for a mostly cutsy group of animals, while his two siblings have cool, exotic names (Scylla and Charybdis). He is incredibly smart, especially in literature and in aquatic, and often makes references to the two. He has also exceptional handwriting.
Appearance: Pinniped will have darker-gray-blue scales like his mother (Vaquita) on his eyes and snout. His scales are mostly a shimmering gray-blue throughout most of his body. There is a line on his left arm that morphs into more true-blue scales on his left arm, but not on his right, which is mostly gray-blue. This line into true blue scales also appears on his right leg, tail, and wings. He will also wear glasses, because he is far sighted.

Appearance: Shadowmaker's scales are not a solid color all the way through his body. They morph into true-blacks, black-purples, and black-greens intermittently throughout his body. His wings are mostly black-green, and his head is mostly black-purple. He is surprisingly well-kept-looking for a loner, and the only thing that truly holds warmth are his chestnut-brown eyes. Next to his eyes are two dark-gray scales that stand out, the only feature that ever suggested he could see the future.
Personality: Shadowmaker is very protective of his younger sister, Duskbringer. He is ruthless to anyone who he has confirmed to be a threat to his family, and often cold and calculating to anyone who he senses is a threat. He is more likely to think that someone who is harmless to be a threat more than someone who is a threat to be harmless. When he is in a more comfortable situation, he is more sarcastic and sometimes cryptic. When he senses more danger, he says things outright, unless he judges that being cryptic is more helpful for Duskbringer.
Backstory: Shadowmaker was born into a decently-rich and respectable family, however, their family had a lot of enemies. Therefor he and his sister Duskbringer trained in self-defense from a very young age. He was handy with a knife in both art and in self defense. He would often whittle in his spare time, and carve all sorts of things. Surprisingly enough, as he got better at whittling, he would often whittle with ebony, spruce, and other dark-colored woods rather than with the light oak and pine. When Shadowmaker was 8, Duskbringer was attacked by rogue NightWings (Quasar and Pulsar) and mortally wounded. An animus came to the scene shortly (Mesa-Plateau) and in exchange for his weak foresight, Duskbringer would be fully healed and she would take the two to her lair. Shadowmaker had little time to decide the best course of action, because Duskbringer was dying fast. Shadowmaker saw no way out of the predicament with Duskbringer's life, so Shadowmaker accepted the offer. However, the operation was so strenuous on Shadowmaker's mind that it broke him and the amulet that was supposed to hold Shadowmaker's power. Any mind reader who tried to poke deep into his mind would end up in a jumbled mess of fragmented memories. However, when Mesa realized her mistake and tried to fix what she did, but she only managed to heighten Shadowmaker's instincts, and Shadowmaker escaped, with an carving knife that would turn any inanimate object it cut into a shadow. Shadowmaker also lost all prophecies and future events he kept in his mind. Now Shadowmaker lives alone in the wilderness, trying to piece together his past. Any trespassers who refused to get out of his territory would end up on the wrong end of one of his arrows or his knives.

Appearance: Duskbringer has similar pattern to her scales as Shadowmaker, but with significantly more purple to her overall pattern and a general warmer tone to her scales. Her eyes are also significantly warmer than Shadowmaker's. Other than those few differences, it is clear they are brother and sister.
Personality: Duskbringer is calculating, but no where near as cold as Shadowmaker. She is not quick to make friends and would prefer not to be intimately acquainted with a stranger on the first few meetings. She too is ruthless to anyone who poses a threat to her family. When she is in a comfortable situation, she is quiet, and observes more than she speaks, which allows her to get a second opinion on a situation from her brother, depending on how many sarcastic remarks he makes. She is not as sarcastic, due to her training as a medic, and learned to say things in their simplest form. She is a little more cryptic outside of her job.
Backstory: See Shadowmaker. Once Shadowmaker retreated to the forest, Duskbringer thought he was dead. She was almost kidnapped by Mesa-Plateau, but the operation on Shadowmaker and the healing spell on Duskbringer took its toll on Mesa too, and she escaped.

FrigidStarsPersonality: Frigid is very seclusive and untrusting. He doesn’t go to crowded places (if he can avoid them) he also is known to be unfriendly towards dragons, a test of sorts to see how much they really want to be friends. If you complete his test he will start to show his competitive nature and be a slight bit more joking.
Looks: Frigid stars is a light grey color with white scales scattered on his underbelly, wings and under his chin. He has sticking pale blue eyes and a knowitall smile. Frigid has a thinner tail than most Nighwings and a narrower face, his neck spikes are dark grey along with his tail spikes, both are longer and sharper. He also has more curved talons than a normal Nightwing.
Abilities: He can breathe fire but his scales are cold to the touch. He also can survive in freezing temperatures for extended amounts of time.

She loves animals, and has multiple sloths. Her hammock is as high up in a tree as she can get it, because she has a slight anxiety of not knowing what’s happening, so she likes to be able to see everything.
Appearance: She likes to stay rainbow most of the time, but in muted pastels. She has multiple earrings, and bright green eyes.
Abilities: She loves to heal, and is very good with plants. They hardly ever die!
Backstory: She, like the other rainwings, doesn't know her family. She does know of a sister, but her sister is a bit.... not there. as in, she doesn't comprehend her surroundings. She likes another rainwing, but he doesn't even notice her.

Looks: DarkFlame is around the size of a small Nightwing with dark red scales instead of black, her scales start with a lighter yet still dark red at the face and fade to a dep black at her tail. She has very large wings and bright yellow eyes. She has curled talons and a black tongue. Her horns are like those of a night sing and her neck and tail spikes are black.
Abilities: She has very strong fire and is able to see in the dark rather well. Yet she can’t fly very fast due to her wings being a little to big.

History: Rissa was climbing the rankings of the Icewing s until she was sent to school. Instead of staying at the school, she fled and flew to the historical and mythical old Dragonets of Destiny cave, where she lived for a few days before trying to find out where to go next.

She only wants to see her enemies in pain and hates it when others don’t listen to her. She like to make everyone cower under her in fright and wants to be the new queen of NightWings. Hates Glory to the core of her heart.
Backstory: she met Sightwinner when she started up a riot to overthrow Glory. It failed and almost all of the group died. They didn’t like each other at first but soon grew close. She tried to assassinate Glory multiple times but failed. She is now trying to regain her power in her tribe. She killed everyone in her past except Sightwinner and Glory. And Iceshard too.

Really wanted dragonets but only said it once, maybe twice before they went into hiding. Was really sad to leave his family but he knew it was for the best.
