Warren (wozza) | 5 comments Is it possible to add just a single edition of a book to a series? In the case of the attached book, it was published in 1927 by Philip Allan & Co. Ltd, and then a second edition was released in 1930, by the same publisher, as title No.14 of The Nautilus Series. The book has been republished since as a standalone title. I want to make it part of the series I'm creating, but only that edition.

It is not. In general, if it only applies to one/some edition(s) of a work, it probably doesn't meet Goodreads' criteria for being a series.

The Nautilus Library appears to be an imprint, not a series. Please review this section of the Librarians' Manual: https://help.goodreads.com/s/article/... (See: Imprints are not series)

Sandra | 31541 comments No, the definition of a series is that all editions of a work are part of the series.

Which is why MSF is not considered a series but an imprint by the publishers.

You can create a Listopia with a single edition though, so that might be the way you want to go.

Warren (wozza) | 5 comments Right, got it. Thanks guys. Even though that edition appears as a numbered volume in a publisher's series (of which I now own the complete set), I can't argue with the Goodreads definition and I'll go the Listopia route instead.
