Pamela (waterspout) | 207 comments Hi, I'm not familiar with the practice for this particular issue (in fact it's the first one I've come across of its nature).

Apparently, the author herself requested that these books be removed from the series page as they are not part of the series.

But a librarian is saying that it is part of the series due to shared characters and perhaps even the world(?) But is that really the only basis for a book to be part of a series? Asfaik, shared characters usually means it's a spin-off novel/series but each book in this particular series have different main characters.
