Happy reading!

Awesome! Check your mail! Thank you for reading!

I would recommend this book to anyone learning to cook. And especially to those newly disabled or, like me, old, as Walter has taken the time to combine steps to make meal preperation smooth with a minimum of back-and-forth.
His steps for making one meal and freezing another are a great help for those of us suffering empty nest, as well. I cannot wait for the next book.

I'd like to send PDF format books to readers of YA fantasy. The illustrated Wurtherington Diary will begin a series of book releases September 15, 2015. Reviews are needed. Interested readers may anticipate a grand reading experience and correspond with the author at Goodreads. Search for these books at Goodreads and http://biccomix.com/seedsfromheaven.htm
After a review is posted you may request signed print editions to review.
Fully Restored un-revised Illustrated edition for all ages.
This is written in a manner similar to books considered to be children's classics. As with many illustrated classic tales, it is a story with unique characters and deals with hope, determination, compassion, and much more. In the opening preface, Robert Landsbury discovers the diary in a shed on a newly purchased estate in River Falls, Ohio and passes it along to his associates. The diary is faithfully preserved for today's reader.
In it, the reader will discover that a ten-year-old mute girl, Tammy Wurtherington residing in the Wixby estate is the author. She loves to make dolls in a shed out in back of the house. She lives with Lord Wixby and Aunt May in a lavish estate at the edge of town. Aunt May teaches her to use a sewing machine and gives her a small one suited to size as a birthday gift. One day while constructing a toy soldier for her brother, Alfred the Mouse appears and is impressed with her ability to make doll outfits and reluctantly invites her to follow him to Kira if she will bring along the sewing machine.
Tammy keeps a diary of her exploits in Kira which is ruled with an iron-hand by a pair of sorceresses, Catherine and Lucinda. Tammy and Alfred find their way through a fantasy underground transportation system that ends up with the pair mistakenly ending up in a wicker-basket in the middle of the ocean. Tammy finds her voice for the fist time and Alfred explains that it is a “talking spell that allows virtually everyone to talk including the pesky (giant) flowers.”
From this point you will discover many wonderful characters like Zeke, the Flying Opossum, and Cedric the Mongoose, who accompany Tammy on her journey to Capira to present a petition to return the kingdom to its former glory. You will meet the pirate, Captain Flynn, who loves to have his guests walk the plank and the loveable Kakuna villagers who's harvest is soon to be confiscated by the royal soldiers. But please beware of the Oxboar forest, where the evil Hoarggs reside otherwise you may end up in a stew-pot.
Tammy has an adventure in which she learns to love all the strange living creatures she encounters in a magical land. Before she departs, all of Kira will fall in love with The Little Doll Girl who changed them forever and became a legend.
Here is the first review: from Diane.
It is a magical tale like Narnia or Alice In Wonderland
Tammy is mute and a very creative little girl. One day when working in her workshop she meets a talking mouse and follows him to Kira; a land where even the animals speak. The inhabitants of Kira are ruled by two evil Sorceresses, Catherine and Lucinda. Tammy listens to the stories of harsh taxes, little food and decides to start a journey to take a petition to the capital city on behalf of the citizens.
On her journey she meets all kinds of inhabitants from the Kakuna to the Hoargg. The whole kingdom is afraid of the Hoargg with rumors that they eat anyone that comes into their forest. Tammy, of course, doesn't believe they could be that bad and insists on going to meet them. After all, if they are to defeat Catherine and Lucinda all of the villages must be united.
What follows is a story that includes lessons on courage, compassion, not judging
things/people by how they look and more. The lessons are subtle but they are there.
This is a great book for parents to read with their young children. The lessons truly will benefit all and the story is magical.
I received this book free from the author through Library Thing for review purposes.
Note: Diane has decided to read all the books in the series and has since posted reviews on other books in the series.
Begin with this book and then decide if you wish to get sucked into this fantasy world that is unlike anything you will ever read.

Iffix wrote: "Both of my YA sci-fi adventure books will be free in mobi e-book format tomorrow, September 12, 2015. Check out Iffix Y Santaph on Amazon.com. Thanks. (And by all means, please review.)"

I grabbed them both.

The files are awaiting final print approval, and roof copies. Publication will be, hopefully, announced in the next ten days. Final price will be $12.99 each. From now on, they will be known as "the cookbooks that ate the author." :-)

I've also written a dark, modern crime novel set in Dublin, which revolves around a stalker who works as a crane operator.

"To Enter the Path" By Stephanie Flores
Book Description:
A prophesy has been strummed by a drunken minstrel about a Vendrix finally controlling their greatest power called the Victus Lameit. If someone actually learned to tame this sentient magic that craves carnage, and kills families and strangers alike, it could be used to annihilate the sorcerer that’s been wreaking havoc everywhere.
There’s three things wrong with this notion, though:
1. No one knows who the Vendrix is.
2. To get to the sorcerer you must survive his path which is just one murderous obstacle after another.
3. No one is entirely sure they heard the minstrel’s slurred sayings correctly.
Zendra, a young woman raised by an assassin and anything but dainty, refuses to admit she’s the Vendrix they’re talking about. Despite the fact that she just massacred a horde of wizards with no more exertion of energy than a yawn. Regardless of her denial, she’s enlisted by three men wanting to attempt the Path, for fame, adventure, or vengeance.
Now, Valen, an arrogant yet charming wizard prodigy, Brevle, a wise-cracking warrior, Wulard, owns a map (sorry, that’s all he contributes), and Zendra, still unsure if she’s more of a threat to them than the obstacles, must band together, quiet their pessimism, and will their legs to forge through the Path of Fatality.
225 pages in total.

I would appreciate your honest and unbiased reviews of my second novel SETH recently self-published on KDP Select and Createspace, The Amazon link for the novel is http://amzn.to/1LAaBsy.
SETH is the story of a drug war in the Midwest.
Summary:
Seth and Angel would meet. It was inevitable. When it was over, one would live and the other would die. But was that true? Or did fate have a different plan for them?
Seth was a former recon Marine with six combat deployments under his belt. Killing was his business. There wasn’t anyone better. He was a warrior who walked with only the best the world had to offer.
Angel was a cartel assassin. No one could match her skills. The hunted feared her cunning when she tracked them. She moved silently like a ghost spitting out death and surviving the impossible. Seth was in her crosshairs. She had pledged to kill him.
Forced by circumstance, Seth and Angel joined forces as they battled the gang of assassins. When the guns became silent, the two warriors faced off against each other. Then fate played her hand.

My name is Shelly Burrows. My co-author and I wanted to write a novel that appealed to the older crowd and not so much the YA crowd. We wanted to write a book that also appealed to both genders. Blood Moon is our first novel in the Dark Moon Series and we are currently on the second. (Editing sucks) Everyone who has read it has loved it, but we are lacking reviews. I'd give free copies out for an honest review. We are independent and would appreciate constructive criticism.

Metamorphosis delves into the rather unusual life of Miranda Macleod, who has had a touch of the supernatural surrounding her since childhood. Miranda was leading a relatively normal life in an upper middle-class neighborhood as a mother, wife, and nurse. When her marriage begins to disintegrate, she becomes romantically involved with a mysterious American who recently moved from California and specializes in information technology in a high-end company. She is drawn to this man like no one else before. Her world is then turned upside down, and she is thrown into total chaos. She begins to experience terrifying physical transformations throughout her body. These experiences tear her apart physically, psychologically, and emotionally, reaching to the very core of her being. Everything unravels—her marriage, career, love, and self—as she battles to keep her own sanity and hold her family together. She moves through surreal experiences that are right out of the twilight zone. Miranda also explores her own reawakened sexuality during all this chaos by looking for love in all the wrong places. Her search for a cure also takes her alone halfway around the world. The more Miranda searches for the truth, the further down the rabbit hole she goes. (less)

I would appreciate your honest review of my novel SETH. I self-published the book on KDP Select and Createspace. The Amazon link is http://amzn.to/1LAaBsy.
SETH is the story of a drug war in the Midwest.
Summary:
SETH is a career recon marine with six combat deployments under his belt. Killing was his business and there wasn’t anyone better. He was a warrior who walked with the best the world had to offer.
Called home, he quit the marines to care for his ailing father. Seth’s father had raised him after his mother disappeared. It was time for Seth to help his dad. Becoming a cop and carrying a gun helped pay the bills and kept Seth close to the action.
Stumbling across a drug deal with a dirty cop, Seth set off a chain of events that lead to a war between the Los Guerreros and Halcon Cartels for control of the city. Los Guerreros’ experiment using corrupt cops to sell drugs failed when greed took over and the cops turned on each other. The Halcon Cartel saw an opening to expand their drug empire and attacked Los Guerreros.
Police Captain Drummond turned to Seth for help to clean up the department and destroy the Los Guerreros’ grip on the city. Seth refused. He planned on quitting and hitting the road in an effort to recover from PTSD. He joined in the fight after his father was threatened. Seth fought the corrupt cops and their hired killers in gun battles that rocked the city and nation.
Angel was a Los Guerreros assassin. No one matched her skills. She pledged to restore the cartel’s control of the city and kill Seth. Forced by circumstances, Seth and Angel joined forces to destroy the Halcon Cartel’s attempt to take over. When the guns fell silent, Seth and Angel faced off against each other. It was time for Angel to honor her pledge and kill Seth.
Then fate played her hand.

I'll take a look, as I want to help anyone doing this sort of "what I did, how I fixed/improved it." fbngroup at earthlink dot net.

I agree. Not everyone likes the same things. Sometimes you wonder *what the H--- book did they read?* :-) I _try_ to explain why I rate a book they way I did. GR doesn't always let me, and neither can Amazon, sometimes. I had an Amazon review rejected as "too negative." =8-0 Let's just say it wasn't "good."

Because there are so many people that are single or handicapped, or empty nester, we need to look at
cooking/baking/food storage. We may not feel like “putting together a ‘decent’ meal.” So, we
reach for canned meals that are high in fats, starch, sodium, not all that tasty, and expensive.
Instead, we should be able to reach into the pantry, refrigerator, or the freezer, and choose from
“eat later” meals. These are meals made ahead of time that are balanced and healthy, but
frozen/canned to let us have a choice later.
I realize that many don’t like to cook, or read recipes and think about making them. I see two
reasons for this.
1) People aren’t taught to cook at a young age. (I started when I could stand in front of a stove,
and see into a pan.) So, they grow up thinking it’s more hard work than it really is. Make no
mistake. It can be hard work, but also rewarding.
2) Cookbooks and Chef’s make recipes more difficult to follow/fancier than they need to Now, if
you’re a restaurant, charging Fifty Dollars for a soup bowl sized serving of stew, in a standard
porcelain bowl, by all means make it really fancy. Otherwise, it’s food, not a fancy art installation.
Also, they shouldn’t assume that “everyone who reads a cook book, already knows how to cook.”
Many descriptions hard, instead of easy to follow, and don’t explain why they suggest something.
People want to learn, but don’t talk down to us either that’s why I took a different approach.
I know that a cookbook is a big project. When I started the project that became “the cookbooks
that ate the author,” in October 2014, I had no idea how big it would get. I thought. “I can take a
bunch of recipes, lay them out, and publish it quickly.” Hah! A year later they finally saw the light
of publication. It also grew from one book, to three of them, and more to follow eventually.
All that said, what do I want people to take away from these cookbooks? I want several things.
1) For the disabled/handicapped to know that they can cook many dishes. They can’t do what
“normal” people can, but they have plenty they can do.
2) Empty Nesters can have guidelines and dishes to help them.
3) I want people to enjoy cooking and baking. It’s fun to make a meal, or a dessert. Especially, if I
can make and serve it to someone that I care about.
Not to mention, It’s also less expensive and healthier to make my own meals. By making “store
ahead” meals, I have a selection of what to eat, and when. If I feel Mexican, I can have an “eat
later” Mexican themed meal, with minimal effort.
I can also decide ahead of time what I will have, and change it on a whim. By spending just one
Saturday a month, I can fill my freezer, and pantry, with enough different meals that it can be like
walking into a Fast Food restaurant, serving all my favorite meals. And all it cost was a few hours’
work, and a few minutes to reheat.
If that thought excites you, buy a cookbook. Preferably one of mine that doesn’t assume you
already know how to cook/prepare ahead. (Here’s a link to my Amazon Author URL, with links to
all the books I’ve done. http://www.amazon.com/-/e/B00QXAWK9K)

I would appreciate your honest review of my novel SETH. I self-published the book on KDP Select and Createspace. The Amazon link is http://amzn.to/1LAaBsy.
SETH is the story of a former tough marine and a beautiful, dangerous assassin.
Summary:
Seth, powerfully built with intense blue eyes and close-cropped hair, was a marine veteran torn open by the pain of PTSD. He wanted to escape and recapture his life before the demons consumed him. Working as a police officer, they called him into a new battle to regain control of the city from a drug cartel. He said no. First, he had to save himself.
When his father was threatened, Seth joined the fight. Still, his demons would not leave him. The only chance he had was to hit the open road and find peace.
Angel, beautiful with cascading black hair signaling her Hispanic heritage, was once an unloved orphan. She finally found love only to have it brutally taken away from her. Revenge consumed her. Her exploits tracking down her sister’s killer became legendary and soon she became the best of the best—a cartel assassin.
She never tasted defeat. Angel once traveled halfway around the world to honor her pledge to find the monster enslaving young girls. Now she gave her most important pledge—kill Seth and save the city for the cartel.
Becoming an assassin came at a cost for Angel. Love became a foreign equation for her. She used men but never loved them. Then she met Seth.
Unforeseen circumstances changed everything. Forced to fight side by side, Seth and Angel battled a new enemy. Victory at hand, they kept their guns and faced off against each other. It was time for Angel to kill Seth.
Then fate played her hand.
