The Pub
[yup]it was a normal work day at the pub people were coming in and ordering drinks he went back and forth making and delivering drinks to his patrons
((You might want to ask for an RP partner?))
((Sorry, have not had much time these past two days))
((Maybe you should find someone else? I don't want to keep you waiting))
Tyler wanders in, a book tucked under her arm. She ran a hand through her hair and sat at one of the back tables, completely silent.
Pat looked up and saw a new customer sitting at the back table he finished wiping the counter and grabbed a pad and pen and walked over to the table "hello and welcome to the pub. What can I get for you?" He asked
Tyler glanced up, her eyes looking a bit haunted. Spending time with Gavin had taken a huge toll on her usually cheery mood. "I... Give me a minute, I guess." She finally looks down at the menu.
He noticed the look in her eye he could tell something was wrong but He stood by waiting to take her her order
Tyler noticed a little doodle in the corner of the menu, next to a light beer. Another one showed up next to a small meal plate. She sighed, running a hand through her hair again, glancing at the scar on her palm before looking up. "I'll have this..." She points to the light beer that was marked. "And this." She points to the small meal plate.
He wrote down her order and knew something might be wrong so he decided to do something "excuse me miss why don't you come sit at the bar I don't want you to sit in a dark corner by yourself" he said holding his hand out to help her up
Tyler sighs and takes his hand, standing. She wasn't in the mood to argue, first with Gavin then with seeing Lucas's marks on the menu.
He brought her to the bar and sat her on a bar stool he then went behind the counter to begin working on her order
Tyler ran her hand through her hair again, biting her bottom lip. She traced the scar on her palm, back and forth, staring off into space.
The food was being cooked and he noticed again something was wrong so he filled a glass of light beer and handed it to her " may I ask what's wrong?" He asked
Tyler takes a sip and makes a face. "Ugh. I can't believe Lucas would ever drink this stuff," She mutters to herself, then glances up at the bartender. "Sure. I guess."
"My story? Well, that's a boring tale. But the story of Lucas? That's a love story. A tragedy." She stares down into her glass, swallowing hard as she remembers the last time she had seen her brother.
"He ran away years ago, and I never saw him again. Then I met his lover, who told me he was dead. Two broken hearted people, who can never look at each other without seeing who they lost." Tyler cuts herself off, feeling the tears tightening her throat and burn behind her eyes.
"No. No it's not, and I wish people would stop saying that!" She exclaims, pulling her shoulder away.
"We all lose people as we live but the only thing we can do is remember who they were and never forget them" he said
Tyler scoffs a bit angrily. She was tired of condolences. She was tired of all that crap that didn't help.
"Wait I know I suck at these consoling things but tell me is there something I can do to help?" He asked
"Actually I think it might just help he said pulling out a book "you said his name was Lucas am I correct?" He asked
"Ah here it is" he said pulling out a folder full of notes and letters and stories "mr Lucas pond was here and he wrote quiet a bit (She's difficult)
((She's usually easier. She's just in a bad mood.))Tyler stops and rushes back to the bartender, peering over his shoulder.
"I... Can I see?" Tyler's hardened voice has dissolved with the prospect of seeing something from her brother.
Tyler's hand shook as she took the folder. She opened it slowly, immediately recognizing Lucas's handwriting.
"He was in here for quiet a long time for a few days he was always the first person in here after I opened up" he said
Tyler sits down, not even listening anymore. She traces the elaborate designs on Lucas's paper, her hand shaking.
