I am well into the book now, but I think it actually helped that I was able to download it and start reading immediately upon learning that it was the selection. I went in with absolutely no expectations about anything other than having seen the cover, so I haven’t had to work against any preconceived notions about what I thought was going to happen.

I just put it on hold at my library so it should be in, in a few days. I had no knowledge of any of the books in the poll. Although I read brief descriptions for each at the time of the poll, I don't remember which is which at this point. So I have no expectations and that's okay!
