Madeline looked up from her computer once he brought all the bags in. So she set her laptop aside and brought the bags into the kitchen and started putting the groceries away.
"You've been here before mom." She laughed lightly. "Only once though. Alex cleaned a lot of the time to prepare for this little one." She smiled at Ren and kissed her nose.
Madeline pursed her lips then shook her head. "I'm not that tired. I was just going to watch some tv with Ren resting on my chest here." She smiled. "Thank you though."
"Oh. Right." Madeline nodded and put Ren in s battery operated rocker that was on the floor, tucking a blanket around her. The rocker gently moved Ren from side to side. "It's just a headache. So it's fine." Madeline murmured.
She sighed and ran her hand down her face. "My mom seems so different. It's like I didn't even know her." She whispered. "And when she offered to watch Ren, I couldn't help but think about what she did to me." Tears gathered in her eyes.
Madeline ran out after him, standing in the doorway of the kitchen and covering her mouth in disbelief. Ren, who was in her rocker on the living room floor, began to cry.
"I do to baby. I really do. But I just pushed a baby out of my vagina yesterday. Plus, I have stitches and am bleeding. You don't want to get all up in that." She said in a playful tone to lighten his mood.
