She looked at him and shrugged. "You'll know when you wake up. I'll be the first one there." She smiled. She had on glasses, a hoodie of his and leggings.

"Don't be babe." She walked over to him and hugged him to use chest. "You'll be perfectly fine."
Madeline tied the back of his gown closed for him then kissed the top of his head. "I can't believe our honeymoon was three weeks ago." She sighed.
"This surgery will take away the cancer. They are certain of it." She rubbed his back.
She fixed the glasses on her face and kissed his cheek. "I love you alex."
"Keep this during the surgery for me please?" She pulled out a mini stuffed panda bear from her hoodie pocket and put it on his chest.
"Because it's my favourite. And it would be like holding me." She smiled.
She kissed him back then pulled away.
"I'll be here when you wake up. I love you." She kissed him, squeezed his hand then stepped back to leave room for the nurses.
She watched him with tears in her eyes and waved as she saw his eyes drooped.
A few hours later, Madeline was sitting beside his bed, holding his hand and waiting for him to wake up. The surgery was a success and he was now cancer free.
"Hey." She whispered and rubbed his knuckles with her thumb.
She nodded. "But you're not well enough. Get some sleep." She urged lightly.
She sighed and leaned back in her chair.
Madeline went to the cafeteria in the hospital to grab a snack.
Madeline came back into his room with a muffin in her hand. She was to distracted to noticed Stephen walking down the hall earlier. "Hey babe." She smiled at Alex and sat by his bed.
"Come in." Madeline waved him in with a smile.
"I think we have both seen better days." She shrugged.
Madeline laughed lightly and pulled out her phone.
"Cancer free!" Madeline exclaimed happily
Madeline's face fell as she starred down at her lap and thought.
"Seriously?" Madeline raised an eyebrow.
"You know she's a prostitute right?"
"Tell you what?" She played with her bracelet. ((Yeah, just at break.))
She looked up at him. "I'm pregnant." She said in a soft voice.
She nodded and smiled. Tears gathered in her eyes. "We're going to have a baby." She let out a happy sob.
Instead of him getting out of bed she climbed into bed with him and hugged him close, but not hurting him.
She sat up on her knees beside him and wiped her eyes. "It's to early to tell anything. I'm only three and half weeks pregnant. Im not even showing yet." She sniffed and put a hand on her stomach.
"Maybe when I start showing." She shrugged. "Cause something could happen, you never know."
"I love you alex." She leaned down and kissed his forehead. "And our little family."
"Not possible." She whispered with a smile.
She laughed and let a few more tears run down her cheeks.
"I'm going to head home and get some work done okay?" She said, referring to some bills she had to pay.
Madeline left the hospital and took a bus to the bookstore a few streets away from their house.
((Maybe like when she's six months pregnant?))
Six months later, Madeline was sitting on the couch with her legs tucked underneath her. She had a blanket over her lap, her big belly visible now.
Madeline hasn't said much of anything today because of her mood swings. She held her chin in her hand, her elbow on the arm of the couch. "Alex?" She called quietly.
"I'm just a little tired." She smiled weakly and rubbed her large tummy.
"No thanks. I was going to ask if we were going to go to the mall today? We still have some shopping to do." She said. They transformed her own room into the baby's room.
"I am. I just need to change. Help me up please?" She took ahold of his hands and put her feet on the ground.
She pulled on his hands and stood up with a long grunt.
Once in there room she peeled off her sweatshirt and pulled off her sweat pants.
"I'm alright. Thank you though." She smiled at him and pulled on maternity jeans.
"I miss skinny jeans." She pouted and pulled on a black neck shirt that stretched over her belly.
