14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
Possibly, though I'm not really sold on it. I'm hoping in the future-past Gwyneth will get to visit him while he is alive. I know he wouldn't know her then, but I still think the encounter would be fun!

15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
Maybe the woman in the prologue (Lucy?) is the sapphire traveler and the breaking is her giving up ...things... for Gwyneth's sake. At one point they mention another, um, prophecy type thing where the Ruby is connected with ravens and in bringing everyone home. At this point I'm taking it for a real vision, even if an unclear one :)

16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
I think she likes the power and being the center of attention through her daughter. Is she on this mysterious "evil side"...not sure of that yet. She really just seems like a selfish old lady to me.

17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
I wouldn't call him a secret love just from that scene. I think she might be using him or distracting him from the work she's actually doing. He doesn't seem at this time like he would be on her side.

18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
Nope

19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
The Ruby poem/prophecy that I mentioned above included the phrase "magic of the raven", and while that might just be figurative, when you're dealing with time-traveling don't you kind of have to be willing to believe in other things as well?

20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
Well, so far I'm not really a fan of Gideon. Mr. George seems nice and sympathetic. Her family (grandma, aunt, cousin) is mostly full of arrogant snobs as far as I can tell. I'm still deciding on the Dr and Gideon's dad. Actually, scratch that, I don't trust Gideon's dad.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?

James still seems in denial, but I wonder if Gwyneth's ability to see ghosts will come into play with her time travelling, like she can see people that she interacted with in the past or she will go back and save James from dying...there has to be some significance to the fact that only she can see ghosts. And it's very convenient that her school was James's house and that she saw herself (sort of) there dressed similar to the people in James's time. I'm guessing she's going to either befriend or at least see James in the past when he was alive.

16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
No, I think she's upset purely because she wanted to continue to feel special because she was the mother of the Ruby.

19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
Yes, I'm sure they have lots of secrets that they're holding back.

20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I'll be interested to see how Lady Arista treats Gwenyth now that she knows she is the Ruby.

Chapter 3 - Chapter 5

6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
I liked the quick trip, and I agree she did the right thing. surely if she went to the house where the family knows and understands time travel she would be safe

7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I'm not sure if it was the truth, or jus ta throw away line

8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
It is cool that the family have different gifts

9 - The second time travel happens. This one was a very close call, with everyone else trying to find her. What did you think about Mr Bernard's showing up out of nowhere? He is a strange fellow. I keep thinking he suspects Gwyneth's time travelling gene, but if he does, he hasn't mentioned anything!
yes he knows something.

10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
Hmm I'll have to go back and re-read that bit

11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
lol. No, but I think she will be useful in some other way. She reminds me of Zuz from Daughter of Smoke & Bone

12 - Mr Whiteman wears a signet ring just like Gwyneth's grandfather used to. And then he says that Charlotte won't be back in school "until everything has ...returned to normal". Do you think he is a Guardian? Or maybe a watcher of sorts? He definitely knows something, specially considering the design of his signet ring.
There is clearly a significance. I wish she would tell someone what is happening!!

13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
Oh this timey wimey stuff. It gets confusing doesn't it? lol
I'm super keen to find out what that is about

Prologue - Chapter 2

1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
Sounds like the prologue is telling us that they had to leave Grace behind for her own protection. I think Grace is Gwyneth's mother.

2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
I really like Aunt Maddy and Leslie. Leslie is a fun and caring friend. Charlotte can be such a jerk. James seems kind and funny but I don't understand why she is the only one who can see him.

3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I'm not sure but I think he might be waiting for Charlotte to be able to travel in time or maybe something to do with Gwyneth.

4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I'm enjoying it all.

5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
I was thinking the same thing. They are so busy waiting for Charlotte that they aren't seeing what's going on with her.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
Now that we have met a second ghost, I wonder if they will end up being people she will go and find in the past?

15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts? Good idea!

16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
Urgh. This part really annoyed at me. seriously a grown woman acting like that. Now I understand why she didn't tell anyone in the family about her initial time travel

17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
So weird. But was it a lovers tiff? He seemed surprised when she kissed him. (or maybe it was just future self that was surprised) I'll have to re-read that bit

18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
No, clearly intentional in case she time travelled at school

19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
yes, it sure seems that way. I wonder what other abilities we will discover people having?

20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I liked Mr George, but all the rest don't seem too nice at the moment!

Prologue - Chapter 2

1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
A lot of G's, maybe is a family tradition?

2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
I like them so far. Specially Gwyneth. She's not an annoying voice

3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
Maybe "the adults" know who he is? And is part of the big secret?

4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I like it a lot. It is an easy and engaging reading. Problem is to stop

5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
Maybe it has to do with the something done in the prologue

6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
Well, if her family has the gene, it make some sense, since nobody seems inclined to talk to her

7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I think is more alchemy and math. But that may be wishful thiking

8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
That Gwyneth is the key to stop the evil plan from the prologue?

9 - The second time travel happens. This one was a very close call, with everyone else trying to find her. What did you think about Mr Bernard's showing up out of nowhere? He is a strange fellow. I keep thinking he suspects Gwyneth's time travelling gene, but if he does, he hasn't mentioned anything!
He intrigues me, I think we'll find out his true part in the story soon.

10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
Maybe the servants used her to get away with theft?

11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
We cannot hide from google!!
Kidding
But I really think is funny how Leslie has a DVD as an answer to everything

12 - Mr Whiteman wears a signet ring just like Gwyneth's grandfather used to. And then he says that Charlotte won't be back in school "until everything has ...returned to normal". Do you think he is a Guardian? Or maybe a watcher of sorts? He definitely knows something, specially considering the design of his signet ring.
Yeah, he's into the thing.Maybe that's the reason he works there in the first place

13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
First thing that comes to mind is Harry Potter #3, when Harry does the Patronus spell the save the other Harry and Sirius. So. Maybe is that type of effect

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
Maybe, maybe not. We never know about ghosts. Or maybe eventually Gwyneth will travel back in time, meet the living James, and dead James end up remembering her in a strange butterfly effect

15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
visions are easily misinterpreted, so, I prefer to wait before making assumptions

16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
I think it has to do with the missing niece and Grace has something to do with it. Although not being the mother of the gene carrier may explain a lot. And the way she said Grace forced Gwyneth's birth ahead of time, makes me wonder if that was not what she's done in first place

17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
No idea. Maybe she has some hidden skills she needs to keep hidden?

18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
Nope. He was totally planted there to ptotect her

19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
All bets are off at this time

20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I didn't like the doctor. He is too obvious to be the master evil referred in the prologue, and he has a valid reason to be nasty. Mr. George though, was too nice. We'll see

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
I think James knows more than he admits to himself. I think he will have important information to share with Gwyneth at some point.

15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
The Sapphire seems to represent Lucy (Paul being the Black Tourmaline). A raven chick representing a child of Lucy and Paul's? So many rhymes and riddles I have to keep going back to read them again when new information is given.

16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
I think there is more to the prophecy than we know. I have a feeling that the last two of the 12 (as they appear to be) have some important job to do that will determine the outcome of the family's future.

17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
Well she would have know she was going to be there and I am sure that is why she was not suprised. She saw her future self in the past (if that isnt just confusing). I know that she had a reason to keep Gideon from seeing her. I just wonder if he is not to be trusted.

18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
I don't think they leave much of anything to chance in that family.

19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
Yes, it sounds like the family has a history of abilities. They talk about her Aunt's visions and I am sure there are others. The leaders of the family just don't seem to pay much attention to them as they are mostly intirested in the time travel.

20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I like Mr. George very much. I think he is a truetly good person, he seems a bit otherworldly to me as well. I seriously don't like Gideon. I get the feeling that he has a similar superiority complex to Charolett. I don't trust Gideon's uncle (?) Dr. White I don't think is as bad as he seems.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
Maybe some day, if it's one of those books that ghosts 'disappear' when they are able to move on. I think Gwyneth will need him for her time travels.

15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
Isn't Lucy the sapphire? And the next book is called Sapphire Blue. Not sure about the rest.

16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
I guess it's difficult to take that after all this years of conditioning they have to give it up and move on. I think it's jealousy.

17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
Not secret love, they are the Gideon and Gwyneth in one of their later travels in the past. Gideon seems to be a stickler for following the rules.

18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
No, I don't think so, it would be a huge coincidence if it was certainly considering that time travellers are rare.

19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
Yes, I think the members of the time travellers' family all have kind of a secret or certain abilities.

20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I liked Aunt Maddy and Lesley seems always cheerful & positive. I didn't like the Count of Saint-Germain and Gideon is a bit annoying.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?

I think he's beginning to suspect that he is dead. I believe that he will play a part in Gwyneth's time travel. Maybe she will meet him when he was living.

15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
Not sure at this time. Was Lucy the sapphire? She was in the vision.

16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
I believe she has had this sense of importance as the mother of the next time traveler, and as such, has been privy to all these mysteries. She doesn't want to give it up. Whereas Grace didn't want Gwyneth's life to be controlled by this society, Glenda was more than willing to sacrifice Charlotte's. I don't like Charlotte very much but I feel sorry for her.

17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
That episode doesn't make sense to me. Can't wait to see the explanation.

18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
No, not chance at all. I'm sure he was put there to watch Charlotte.

19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
Makes you wonder if other abilities sometimes accompany time travel. Mr. George seemed pleased about Gwyneth's ability.

20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I really like Gwyneth, Grace, Lesley, and Falk de Villiers. Aunt Glenda is the one I disliked the most. I didn't like Dr. White very much but I think he will be more likeable later on.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?

Yes and no. He outwardly doesn't seem to, but deep within he must. I think there will be a meeting at some point.

15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?

Not sure. But somehow it will tie in to the story.

16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?

She seems to find her importance in life to be through Charlotte and what she thought to be her ability to time travel.

17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?

I'm sure it has something to do with not crossing paths in time.

18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?

No

19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?

I think the group knows that family members of the time traveler's have interesting abilities.

20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?

Gwyneth is great. I love Leslie, she's just a fabulous friend. I'm sick of Charlotte and Aunt Glenda.

If you were in Grace’s situation, would you have hid the birth of your child? Would you have bribed the midwife to change the birthday? Also do you think Grace is behind the midwife leaving so quickly?

22. What do you think the mission is?

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?

21. We’ve learned already that Grace hid the birth of Gywneth’s early arrival. That she hoped that Gywneth might be a carrier of the time traveling gene. If you were in Grace’s situation, would you have hid the birth of your child? Would you have bribed the midwife to change the birthday? Also do you think Grace is behind the midwife leaving so quickly? - I think Grace did contact her. However, I don't think Grace is Gwen's mother. From the info given in those first few pages in ch 9 I think Gwen is Lucy and Paul's daughter. She is the one they were talking about abandoning, the one they wanted safe for the next 16 years. That would explain why Grace changed the birth date and why she wouldn't be examined at the hospital.

22. What do you think the mission is? - I think it is to collect the blood of all the previous time travellers to make up the set of 12.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them? - In the prologue they were in 1912 but I'm not sure if they stayed there. Grace helped because she loves Lucy and she doesn't trust the Count or the whole time travelling thing.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds? - I don't think the Count can read minds but maybe the other guy can (the one with the weird eyes). Maybe he has some weird power like how Gwen can see ghosts or her aunt has visions.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple? - No, it gives them an unfair advantage and if they use the info it will keep them rich and powerful without them having to do anything. Mind you I would be tempted to do the same.

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet? - Well she can see ghosts but I think she didn't mention it/think of it since most people including her family don't believe it. I'm not sure if Gideon or any of the others in the circle have any other powers than time travelling. Perhaps being the ruby makes her special.

I actually don't agree with this at all. She left Gwneth completely unprepared for what was to happen to her. So as much as I don't like the family, I do agree with them being annoyed at her mother about this. There is something funny about the midwife. I think that part of the story is untrue and she is covering for something else

22. What do you think the mission is?
I've read ahead (sorry, I really only get reading time on weekends and I wanted to finish!) so I won't answer this one, but at this point in the book I was clueless

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?
This is interesting. It seems Grace is on "their side". and how do you pick a "safe" time period? That would be hard because where do you live, how do you work etc.? You would need allies

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds? I'm not sure if he can, but I think Gideon sure can. The count is creepy

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?
This is one of those plot holes because Gideon has been so straight laced and wanting them to not change anything in the past, that I don't understand why he would say this (plus you'd have to tell them that even when Apple is almost bankrupt is when to buy shares and then stick with them! haha)

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?
I think Gideon can read minds, and I'm not sure about her unless her ability is speaking to ghosts?

Hmm... It's hard to say if I would have done the same thing as Grace since she understands more about what is at stake than I do... There is something up with the midwife story. I'm thinking Gwen was left with Grace by her mother to be safely "hidden" as discussed in the prologue. It seems likely Lucy & Paul are her biological parents.

22. What do you think the mission is?
I agree that I think the mission is to collect the blood samples of all 12 of the time travellers.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?
I'm not sure what year they would have traveled to but I think Grace, Lucy and Paul all know the same concerns and she is trying to help them because it's something Grace believes in as well. Whatever it is, it seems to have to do with the Count and not trusting him, as well as the mission.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?
Yes, I think all of the travellers may have some sort of special power(s) and whatever Grace believes is likely true or very close to the truth.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?
Umm.. No, I can see why it would be tempting but it is unethical.

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?
Like I mentioned above, I would think the time travelers probably have some sort of special ability, although may not be as "powerful" as Gwyneth. I think Gideon can read thoughts. I think Gwyneth's special ability allows her to see ghosts, but I'm guessing there is something else she is likely able to do as well.

Maybe I would have done the same, because I don't trust the secred order of caunt Saint-Germain or whather they call it. But I think I would have at least told Gwyneth of the possibility, so that it doesn't catch her completely unaware. And yes, the Grace might have something to do with the midwife's disappearance.

22. What do you think the mission is?

Completing the chronograph by collection every timetravellers blood.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?

Maybe Grace knows more than she's saying she does. They probably went some time in peace. I woulnd't like to be caught in the middle of WWII for instance.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?

Hmm, I think he just might.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?

I do not think it's right.

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?

Heho, she can see ghosts! How can Gwyneth think she is normal ?

I'm with Kristin in this one. I think Gywneth is Lucy and Paul's daughter left with Grace for protection. Hence the need to be hidden. Although I don't think she would be considered to be a candidate. Not with Glenda so intent in Charlotte being the one.
And yes, Grace is totally behing the midwife sudden travelings

22. What do you think the mission is?
I agree with Pigletto. But there is something unspoken that is nagging at me

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?
They may have stumbled with something and told grace about it. No idea what time they chose after the Titanic voyage

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?
He seemed too nice to be as scary as Grace warned, so, something dark is still unknown

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?
I believe he only did that because he knew they wouldn't understand him

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?
I think the time travelers have some gifts, like Gywneth being able to see ghosts. Plus the prophecy/Song make us believe she will be an important part to the circle

I would have probably done the same thing to stop Gwyneth being in danger, but I would have given her secret lessons to make her prepared. (Just in case)

if Lucy and Paul are really Gwyneths parents, then maybe Grace was the midwife??

22. What do you think the mission is?

To get the blood from all 12 time travellers.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?

I think that there is definitely some sort of conspiracy going on with Gwyneth, there is a reason for wanting to "close" the circle, Lucy has something to do with it but I'm not sure what yet.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?

Yes I do think this, I don't like him he's creepy!

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?

No I'm sure that there is some unwritten rule about that in time travel!

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?

I think Gideon can read minds, Gwyneth has the power to speak to the dead i think that is also the raven reference in the poem.

28. For a smart girl, Gywneth forgets to think sometimes. Really? Using her phone? At least she discovers the count's abilities. In a scary, life threatening kind of way. Which one would you prefer? Listening to your thoughts or the one he displayed?

Listening to your thoughts would be quite cool, but only if you could control it, otherwise it would be awful, just like "The Knife of Never Letting Go!"

29.The were ambushed! How? Who could be powerful enough? Or interested in their failure? The count? The creepy guy that looks like a vampire?

I think that there is something fishy going on and I wouldn't be surprised if it was her family, or the guardians. Gwyneth is special for some reason and I think they are trying to bump her off.

30. Gywneth runs to Gideon help and ends up saving his life. She also wounds or maybe kills one of the assailants. Not bad for a girl without training. I'm wondering how did that action will affect her in the future?

I think it may affect her in the future, perhaps she knows one of his family now!

31.Gideon seemed really concerned with her. Maybe the kiss she saw in her last travelling isn't that accidental?

I think he already knows her or has met her in the past, he kept calling her Winnie when they first met.

32.It seems that someone is giving them away. But how can that be since they only discovered she was the Ruby two days ago?

It could be Lucy, she is definitely involved in this somehow.

33.Am I the only one thinking is really strange that Mr. Whitman was the one discovering them on the bathroom. And how would he know about the file in the first place? What is happening here?

He has a ring so he is connected with the travellers, perhaps he has an ability like super hearing or something like the others?

28. For a smart girl, Gywneth forgets to think sometimes. Really? Using her phone? At least she discovers the count's abilities. In a scary, life threatening kind of way. Which one would you prefer? Listening to your thoughts or the one he displayed? - I wouldn't want either.

29.The were ambushed! How? Who could be powerful enough? Or interested in their failure? The count? The creepy guy that looks like a vampire? - I'm not sure who was behind the ambush.

30. Gywneth runs to Gideon help and ends up saving his life. She also wounds or maybe kills one of the assailants. Not bad for a girl without training. I'm wondering how did that action will affect her in the future? - I think she will come to terms with it. I don't think it will be the only time in the series that she or people she is with will be in danger.

31.Gideon seemed really concerned with her. Maybe the kiss she saw in her last travelling isn't that accidental? - I think a lot of his attitude has been about his thoughts on normal girls and that now he is getting to know Gwen his opinion is changing. In the blurb he seemed to be set up as the romantic lead.

32.It seems that someone is giving them away. But how can that be since they only discovered she was the Ruby two days ago? - It must involve some other time traveller. It could be either Paul or Lucy or both but why would they put Gwen's life in danger?

33.Am I the only one thinking is really strange that Mr. Whitman was the one discovering them on the bathroom. And how would he know about the file in the first place? What is happening here? - He's there to spy but whether he's just monitoring Gwen and seeing that her secret doesn't come out either accidentally or on purpose or whether it's something more sinister I'm not sure.

I agree with what has been said above, Lucy and Paul are Gwyn's real parents; but I also think it was a poor move to keep Gwyneth in the dark because now she's ill prepared for what is to come. I'm sure Grace is behind it.

22. What do you think the mission is?
To unite the 12 time travellers. What will happen if they do, that I don't know.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?
(view spoiler) They would chose a time where they knew a family member. Agree with Angel; it helps to know what's going to happen, I would try to choose a period with relatively peace. Because Grace cares about Lucy, she is her niece.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?
He has telekinesis I think, I don't know how big his power is. He seems like a power hungry person.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?
I understand it's tempting, maybe to help my family but it isn't fair and I'm sure it's forbidden to change history, plus especially helping a fishy secret society as the guardians. I don't trust it.

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?
Agreed with what has been said above. Gideon can probably read thoughts, as for Gwyneth I think seeing and talking to ghosts is pretty special and can be helpful later. I don't know what the mentioned 'ravens' in the prophecy are referencing to.

I can see why she did it, but I don't think I would have done the same. Clearly Grace did not want Gwyneth to have the sort of upbringing that Charlotte has had, with all that pressure. I don't know why the midwife has disappeared now though, I don't think Grace has had a chance to get back in touch with her as everything has happened very quickly?

22. What do you think the mission is?

Something to do with getting the blood of all twelve travellers into the chronograph and completing the circle.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?

I'm convinced it was them in the prologue. In which case, they went to 1912 as they were talking about getting on the Titanic.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?

Maybe he has some ability that means he can make people believe they can read minds. Looks like travellers have got other abilities - Gwyneth seeing ghosts for example.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?

No. But it's funny!

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?

Seeing ghosts! I think each traveller may have a unique ability, which is why Mr George wasn't surprised at Gwyneth seeing ghosts. I think Gideon will have an ability, but something unique to him.

21. We’ve learned already that Grace hid the birth of Gywneth’s early arrival. That she hoped that Gywneth might be a carrier of the time traveling gene. If you were in Grace’s situation, would you have hid the birth of your child? Would you have bribed the midwife to change the birthday? I've changed my mind from what I previously said...I don't think Grace is Gwyneth's biological mom. I think whoever dropped the baby off (Lucy would be my guess right now) helped Grace find a midwife to lie and gave Grace help in covering up the birth. That would be why Grace refused to let a doctor examine her after her delivery. And yes, I think Grace got word to the midwife so she would be able to leave before being questioned.

22. What do you think the mission is?

At it's most basic, it seems to be to get blood samples from each of the Twelve. Why is still somewhat of a mystery.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?

Grace at one point says that Lucy was her favorite niece, so she definitely has a soft spot for her. Beyond that, I think they we working together and she knows almost as much as Lucy and Paul do. The time period from the prologue (which I believe would be Lucy and Paul) seems to be Regency-ish from the few details we get, though that's a bit of a guess. Definitely before Kleenex and joggers, though :)

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?

I think it could be true that someone have that ability, but I'm not convinced the count does. That other guy, Miro?, would be the one I would suspect of mind powers. If he does have them, then he probably uses them to give the count info which is where people get the idea that it's the count who can read minds.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?

They didn't seem to know what he meant, so it seems to be harmless. I'm a bit surprised to see that since a few people have mentioned how much of a stickler for rules he is, though...

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?

I think it's entirely possible that others have abilities as well. With Gwyneth, I think partly she hasn't learned everything she can do yet, but also she was being discreet by not telling about her ability to see ghosts. Her mother warned her not to trust anybody, and if I were her I wouldn't have told the Count anything either.

If you were in Grace’s situation, would you have hid the birth of your child? Would you have bribed the midwife to change the birthday? Also do you think Grace is behind the midwife leaving so quickly?

I think that she hid the date of Gwyneth's birth because she wanted her to have as normal a life as possible. I agree with Pigletto that Gwyneth is really Lucy and Paul's daughter. I think that Grace was protecting her and hoping that she didn't have the gene, but since both parents are time travelers, it seems to me that chances are pretty high that she would have it. And yes, I think Grace told the midwife to disappear.

22. What do you think the mission is?
It must have something to do with getting the blood of all the time travelers but to what purpose?

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?
I imagine they move around to different time periods. I think Grace loved Lucy and wanted her to be happy.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?
It didn't appear that he could read minds. But he may have some kind of special abilities.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?
I kind of like it.

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?
I don't know why seeing ghosts wouldn't be considered a special ability. It sounds pretty special to me. It sounds like the time travelers do have special abilities. It seemed like Gideon was reading Gwyneth's thoughts so mind reading may be his.

Both are weird. I think that his actual ability is slightly creepier - being able to get inside people's heads and make them feel like that is worse than just knowing what they're thinking about. I don't like him at all, but at the moment I don't quite understand how he can be a bad guy.

29.The were ambushed! How? Who could be powerful enough? Or interested in their failure? The count? The creepy guy that looks like a vampire?

Or one of their friends. I have a feeling we're not going to get many answers in this book and more will be revealed through the other books in the trilogy.

30. Gywneth runs to Gideon help and ends up saving his life. She also wounds or maybe kills one of the assailants. Not bad for a girl without training. I'm wondering how did that action will affect her in the future?

I think that if you're taught to fight, you also have to be taught how to deal with the consequences of that. I think that while Gwyneth can pick up some skills fairly quickly, being able to accept the fact that you've killed someone in self defence might be a but more difficult for her. Hopefully her family and the guardians will be supportive of her.

31.Gideon seemed really concerned with her. Maybe the kiss she saw in her last travelling isn't that accidental?

Well he was obviously always the love interest. He has to come round to her sooner or later.

32.It seems that someone is giving them away. But how can that be since they only discovered she was the Ruby two days ago?

I don't know. Like I said, there's not much space left in this book to contain the answers to all the questions.

33. Am I the only one thinking is really strange that Mr. Whitman was the one discovering them on the bathroom. And how would he know about the file in the first place? What is happening here?

I think we're mostly agreed that he's been placed in the school to watch over Charlotte (and now to watch over Gwyneth, I guess). He knows a lot more than he's letting on.

I'm going to finish the book tonight I think, rather than waiting for tomorrow.

I think I'd prefer the one he displayed over listening to the thoughts of everyone unless you could just listen when you wanted to, not all the time.

29.The were ambushed! How? Who could be powerful enough? Or interested in their failure? The count? The creepy guy that looks like a vampire?
I don't think the count would be behind the ambush. But maybe the creepy vampire guy. Too many mysteries at this point.

30. Gywneth runs to Gideon help and ends up saving his life. She also wounds or maybe kills one of the assailants. Not bad for a girl without training. I'm wondering how did that action will affect her in the future?
I think it has really begun to bring home to her that this is not a game and how dangerous time traveling can be. Plus I think she is beginning to realize that she can't trust anyone.

31.Gideon seemed really concerned with her. Maybe the kiss she saw in her last travelling isn't that accidental?
They will be traveling together. It's bound to happen.

32.It seems that someone is giving them away. But how can that be since they only discovered she was the Ruby two days ago?
I feel that the Ruby has the potential to be the most powerful of the time travelers. But I have no idea at this point who is trustworthy if anyone.

33.Am I the only one thinking is really strange that Mr. Whitman was the one discovering them on the bathroom. And how would he know about the file in the first place? What is happening here?
He must be a Guardian and probably has the ability to sense what's happening with Gwyneth.

If you were in Grace’s situation, would you have hid the birth of your child? Would you have bribed the midwife to change the birthday? Also do you think Grace is behind the midwife leaving so quickly?

I'm with a few of the others who posted, I think that Gwyn is Lucy and Paul's daughter and they left her with Grace to protect her. It wouldn't surprise me if someone was involved in the midwife being gone, but not sure that Grace had time to take care of that.

22. What do you think the mission is?

I guess to get the blood. But I'm as annoyed as Gwyn that no one will tell us what happens then.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?

I imagine I would jump around a bit to keep the others from finding me. I feel like something happened that made Grace sympathetic to Lucy and Paul, and she agreed to help them to in order to protect them.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?

I don't know about the mind reading, but I know he's kind of slimy. I expect he's the big bad in this series.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?

Probably not, but I would probably do the same thing.

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?

It does seem Gideon can. I know that Gwyneth can see the ghosts, and will be interested to see if anything else develops.

Well, it is definitely getting to her. I mean killing someone at her age isn't an easy thing to deal with. At least now she won't take it as a game anymore.

31.Gideon seemed really concerned with her. Maybe the kiss she saw in her last travelling isn't that accidental?

Yeah, I'm sure it's him we saw kissing her !

32.It seems that someone is giving them away. But how can that be since they only discovered she was the Ruby two days ago?

Maybe someone knew before, someone she might have come acros during one of her travels in the past.

33.Am I the only one thinking is really strange that Mr. Whitman was the one discovering them on the bathroom. And how would he know about the file in the first place? What is happening here?

I don't trust this guy either.

I understand she didn't want Gwyneth to be taken by the 'society' to be trained for their purposes. But I think she did more damage than good by doing this. She should have found a way to have her trained so that she would be safe while raising her to keep an open mind and question what she was being told to do instead of just doing it.

22. What do you think the mission is?
I think the mission is to get a drop of each of the 12 time travelers' blood. They talk about the 12th being the end of the line. I don't know if they believe there will literally be no more travelers born or if, by filling the object, anyone will be able to use it to travel?

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?
Grace helped them because she knows more than she should. Paul and Lucy didn't want to be a part of helping them and so they took the chronograph. I would think they would travel to a time period none of the other time travelers could find them? They were talking about getting on the Titanic (for a while) in the prologue. Maybe they are just jumping around so they can't be found.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?
I believe he is able to read minds. He must have an extraordinary "poker face" in order to function in everyday life. I am not sure about being able to control their will. It is amazing what power you have over people when you know what they are thinking.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?
No, I don't believe it is very smart. Though if you really want to get into it, you could say that Apple was successful because Gideon told them to invest their money. Then you get into predestination and all of that confusing stuff *shrug*

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?
I get the feeling that Gideon is able to read thoughts. Gywenth already knows her ability but she didn't want to reveal it to Count Saint-Germain, which I think is very smart. She may have other abilities or her 'ghost seeing' ability may have added benefits that have not surfaced yet.

28. For a smart girl, Gywneth forgets to think sometimes. Really? Using her phone? At least she discovers the count's abilities. In a scary, life threatening kind of way. Which one would you prefer? Listening to your thoughts or the one he displayed?
I'm not sure how smart she is really.... and she seems very naive and superficial. I'm not sure how you fight someone that can attack you like that. But at least you know when it is happening, unlike reading your thoughts which could be constant

29.The were ambushed! How? Who could be powerful enough? Or interested in their failure? The count? The creepy guy that looks like a vampire?
I have a feeling all this timey-wimey stuff results in her and Gideon being the ones that are doing things to stop them in the future. And so a future person is trying to stop them from being their future selves.

30. Gywneth runs to Gideon help and ends up saving his life. She also wounds or maybe kills one of the assailants. Not bad for a girl without training. I'm wondering how did that action will affect her in the future?
This kind of jumped the shark a bit for me. I don't believe from what we know of her that she would kill another person like that

31.Gideon seemed really concerned with her. Maybe the kiss she saw in her last travelling isn't that accidental?
Well YA must have a love story...triangle....

32.It seems that someone is giving them away. But how can that be since they only discovered she was the Ruby two days ago?
see 29 :)

33.Am I the only one thinking is really strange that Mr. Whitman was the one discovering them on the bathroom. And how would he know about the file in the first place? What is happening here?
Yes that is odd. So much is left unexplained

I don't think I would have. I'd want my child to be prepared. Much less risk to them. It's not like she was able to stop Gywneth from time travelling by not letting her know. It just made it all more risky.

22. What do you think the mission is?
I assume they'll eventually need to go back in time and collect blood from the previous travelers.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?
I assume it's a time period they knew well and it had to be before their birth. I wonder what happens if you go right before your birth then stay through your birth. Strange thoughts.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?
Seems like he would have known about her ghost talking ability then.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?
I assume it was a joke. I suppose it's a good way for them to have money to keep the order working though.

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?
I assume her special ability is seeing and talking to ghosts. Ravens are typically the bird of death so the poem makes sense with it.

I can see this from both sides. I agree with Grace in that I would want my child to have a normal childhood and to stay away from the Guardians. But I also would want my child to be prepared in case they did have the gene. I think she could have tried to prepare her without allowing her to become a Charlotte. Though I have to disagree, I don't think Grace hoped Gwyneth had the gene, I think she hoped Gwyneth did not have it.

22. What do you think the mission is? - I think it is to collect the blood of all the previous time travellers to make up the set of 12.

I think it is to collect the blood of all the time travelers.

Not sure what time period they went to, but I think the left to keep something out of the hands of the Guardians.

I think he can.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple? - No, it gives them an unfair advantage and if they use the info it will keep them rich and powerful without them having to do anything. Mind you I would be tempted to do the same.

I don't think it's right for Gideon to do that.

I sure others do have abilities.

28. For a smart girl, Gywneth forgets to think sometimes. Really? Using her phone? At least she discovers the count's abilities. In a scary, life threatening kind of way. Which one would you prefer? Listening to your thoughts or the one he displayed?

I think it's awesome that it worked and she got pictures to take back to Lesley. :) I probably would have as well because I'd be thinking, who would know? As far as the count goes, he might still be able to do both... I'd prefer simple mind reading, personally, though. It seems a little less immediately dangerous rather than someone who can Force choke you ;).

29.The were ambushed! How? Who could be powerful enough? Or interested in their failure? The count? The creepy guy that looks like a vampire?

I agree with Lesley's conclusion that it doesn't make sense for the count to have sent them. He still needs Gideon at least to collect the rest of the samples. It could possibly be the creepy guy, but most likely it's another party who wants the "secret" for themselves.

30. Gywneth runs to Gideon help and ends up saving his life. She also wounds or maybe kills one of the assailants. Not bad for a girl without training. I'm wondering how did that action will affect her in the future?

Ugh, butterfly effect...the reason why I usually avoid time travel, lol. It's possible that it doesn't effect anything since she had already done it in the past, so her current reality was already reflecting that fact. Or it could effect it in some way...there's really no telling.

31.Gideon seemed really concerned with her. Maybe the kiss she saw in her last travelling isn't that accidental?

I think he might be realizing that he misjudged her a bit, but I'm not sure it's a blossoming romance JUST yet (maybe soon?)

32.It seems that someone is giving them away. But how can that be since they only discovered she was the Ruby two days ago?

When time travel is in the picture two days is an eternity.

33.Am I the only one thinking is really strange that Mr. Whitman was the one discovering them on the bathroom. And how would he know about the file in the first place? What is happening here?

Maybe he is another one with special powers??

If you were in Grace’s situation, would you have hid the birth of your child? Would you have bribed the midwife to change the birthday? Also do you think Grace is behind the midwife leaving so quickly?

I don't think I would have. I would have hoped that all the luck in the world was on my side. Grace's want of protection made Gwyneth unprepared.

22. What do you think the mission is?
To complete the circle

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?
In the prologue the year was 1912. Maybe they stayed there. Grace seems to be the black sheep of the previous generation. She seems to care for 'people's feelings' more than 'traditional values' and what not.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?
I think a bit of it might be true. With the way Gideon would just look her it seems that he can sort of read minds too. On why Grace doesn't want Gwyneth to meet the Count exactly, I can't say.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?
It sounded like a joke to me. Imagine telling people of that time to invest in Apple, when they considered fruit to be just that, fruit. They must have thought he was out of his mind. Either way, I probably would have done the same thing. Securing the riches maybe.

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?
I think seeing ghosts is an ability. But she doesn't seem to think that. As I said already, I think Gideon can read thoughts. Where the others are concerned, I can't guess.

28. For a smart girl, Gywneth forgets to think sometimes. Really? Using her phone? At least she discovers the count's abilities. In a scary, life threatening kind of way. Which one would you prefer? Listening to your thoughts or the one he displayed?

Both are pretty invasive, but out of the two, I'd probably prefer being able to listen to others thoughts over influencing how other people feel/think.

29.They were ambushed! How? Who could be powerful enough? Or interested in their failure? The count? The creepy guy that looks like a vampire?
With all the time travel involved, I think it's possible the mom could have traveled back in time to communicate their visit, or even somehow Gwyneth may have been able to travel back in time to change certain outcomes. I didn't get the feeling they wished Gwyneth any harm ~ and it's possible they were trying to help. Gwyneth & Gideon didn't stick around long enough to figure out. (Although not sure how friendly their feelings were towards Gideon!)

30. Gywneth runs to Gideon help and ends up saving his life. She also wounds or maybe kills one of the assailants. Not bad for a girl without training. I'm wondering how that action will affect her in the future?
Yes, it's like all of a sudden Gwyneth realizes this stuff is getting real! Her mom has been trying to explain to her how dangerous this is and how she wanted to protect her, but I don't think anyone's been able to shed light yet on WHY and HOW this time travel business can be so treacherous. It's all just been fairly abstract up to this point... Hopefully she realizes she did what she had to do and will get some kickass training when she gets back to her time so she can be better prepared.

31.Gideon seemed really concerned with her. Maybe the kiss she saw in her last travelling isn't that accidental?
They will be traveling together. It's bound to happen.

I agree - there is something to the kiss. Although in the beginning when you see how smitten he seems with Charlotte and how "common" he thinks Gwyneth is, it's very hard to imagine. However, it seems Gideon is starting to see Gwyneth is a lot more than he thought her to be in the beginning and he could be a bit intrigued.

32.It seems that someone is giving them away. But how can that be since they only discovered she was the Ruby two days ago?
Just because they found out Gwyneth was the "Ruby" two days ago, it doesn't mean there wasn't time to strategize since time truly has a different meaning with the travellers.

33.Am I the only one thinking is really strange that Mr. Whitman was the one discovering them on the bathroom. And how would he know about the file in the first place? What is happening here?
Mr. Whitman is involved in the society somehow - he's got the signet ring. I have no idea if he is a good guy and maybe just there to help watch over her, or if he is up to something more menacing.

I'm hooked already. The story starts intriguing and I fell like I want to know more. I suspect it is Gwen who will travel in time and can't wait to discover who the couple from the prologue was!

More thoughts to come...

Chapter 14 - End

34. At first, Gideon is portrayed as a self-righteous know it all with a cocky attitude. How do you think his character has developed so far? Do you think it's all for show, or do you think that's just who he is? - I think he has gotten a lot nicer and that a lot of his earlier attitude is to do with how he has been brought up to believe he is special.

35. Gwyneth's great-great-grandmother will only negotiate with Gwyneth and no one else. Why will she only speak to Gwyneth, and how does she know? - I thought that Paul and Lucy had spoken to her and I was right.

36. Oh no! It seems this was a trap as Gideon thought! Were you expecting Paul and Lucy to be there with Lady Tilney? Why do they want Gwyneth and Gideon to stay? - I thought they were involved but didn't expect them to be there. They want to talk to Gideon and Gwen to get them on their side.

37. Gideon kisses Gwyneth inside of the church confessional. Were you expecting him to develop feelings for Gwyneth so quickly? Do you think he knows they've already kissed in the past? - No, he doesn't know about the kiss. It seems pretty usual for YA books to have characters fall in love quickly. At least it wasn't instalove.

38. From what I gather it seems that Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul! Did you ever suspect that Grace was hiding such a big secret as this? What do you expect will be Gwyneth's reaction when/if she finds out? - Yes, I've been predicting this revelation for awhile. I think her world's going to be turned upside down.

39. Now that we know Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul, are you surprised that Gwyneth and Gideon have developed feelings for each other? Or do you think it was meant to be? - It pretty much stated in the blurb that Gideon was going to be Gwen's leading man so no I was not surprised.

Seeing the differences of the all things in the past may have been a great experience but if your unprepared for time travel it can be frightening. I guess Gwyneth must have thought that she was going to be safe there but I wouldn't have done it. They would have thought she was crazy.

7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time traveling?
There might be since the has been a mistake somewhere.

8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
Something is going to happen. It may not be to extreme as hanging from a clock but the fact that she saw Gwyneth should have been a hint for them.

I think so too but I don't get why he wouldn't say anything.

10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
Yes, I think someone in the house was taking those things and maybe Gwyneth will find out where they are or who was taking them.

11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
She just might. Since Leslie is such a good friend and is truly concerned for Gwyneth, that she will try her best to help her friend.

I think he is and I think he gives these hints with things he says and does. I might be there to watch over Charlotte but may end up helping Gwyneth.

13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
I think that the boy is Gideon and I think Gwyneth 2 didn't want Gideon to see Gwyneth and mistaking the 2 and then things will get confusing between both Gwyneth.

If you were in Grace’s situation, would you have hid the birth of your child? Would you have bribed the midwife to change the birthday? Also do you think Grace is behind the midwife leaving so quickly?

I think Grace is totally behind the midwife leaving so quickly, and that Lucy is the mother, not Grace. I don't really have enough information to know whether I would have hid the birth of my child, it kind of depends on what was going on.

22. What do you think the mission is?

To take over the world.

24. We’ve learned more of why Lucy stole the chronography and with Paul, Falk de Villiers brother. They went to the past forever, what time period do you think they went to keep safe? Also, why would Grace help them?

17th century. I think she felt sorry for them.

25. We learned some of the reasons why Grace is adamant about Gywneth Count Saint-Germain. He is can read thoughts and control their will. Do you think this is true? After Gywneth met the count, do you think he is still able to read minds?

I think his buddy can read minds and then tells him about it.

26. Do you think it’s right for Gideon to travel back in time and tell the Guardians companies to invest in like Apple?

Well, no, but I think the Guardians are evil, so it makes sense. Also, I don't think they had any idea what he was talking about.

27. Gywneth was asked by the count if she had any special abilities. She didn’t think so. Do you think some of the other Circle of the Blood has special abilities? Is it possible Gideon can read thoughts too? Do you think Gywneth hasn’t discovered hers yet?

I think Gideon can read thoughts. Gwyneth can see and talk to ghosts. I think it's lucky she didn't remember that at the time.

34. At first, Gideon is portrayed as a self-righteous know it all with a cocky attitude. How do you think his character has developed so far? Do you think it's all for show, or do you think that's just who he is?

I think it is part of who he is, but there's more to him than that.

35. Gwyneth's great-great-grandmother will only negotiate with Gwyneth and no one else. Why will she only speak to Gwyneth, and how does she know?

I think it's because she has talked to Lucy and Paul beforehand.

36. Oh no! It seems this was a trap as Gideon thought! Were you expecting Paul and Lucy to be there with Lady Tilney? Why do they want Gwyneth and Gideon to stay?

I think they only want to talk. I thought they were Gwyneth parents and after reading the prologue I know I'm right :)

37. Gideon kisses Gwyneth inside of the church confessional. Were you expecting him to develop feelings for Gwyneth so quickly? Do you think he knows they've already kissed in the past?

Of course not, it hasn't happened yet :p

38. From what I gather it seems that Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul! Did you ever suspect that Grace was hiding such a big secret as this? What do you expect will be Gwyneth's reaction when/if she finds out?

Yes!! I knew it !! it's always fun when you have suspicions like that and realize at the end that you were right all along :D I don't really know what Gwyneth's reaction will be. It certainly will be a shock !

39. Now that we know Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul, are you surprised that Gwyneth and Gideon have developed feelings for each other? Or do you think it was meant to be?

It was meant to be. But it's a bit weird to think that they are distant cousins...

34. At first, Gideon is portrayed as a self-righteous know it all with a cocky attitude. How do you think his character has developed so far? Do you think it's all for show, or do you think that's just who he is?

Maybe some of both. I believe the way he's been brought up and trained as well as the way his family acts has given him the cocky attitude that he is something special. But deep down I think he has normal insecurities.

35. Gwyneth's great-great-grandmother will only negotiate with Gwyneth and no one else. Why will she only speak to Gwyneth, and how does she know?
It looks like she wanted to get both Gideon and Gwyneth there together.

36. Oh no! It seems this was a trap as Gideon thought! Were you expecting Paul and Lucy to be there with Lady Tilney? Why do they want Gwyneth and Gideon to stay?
Yes, I suspected that they would be when Lady Tilney requested Gwyneth to come. They appeared to want to convince Gideon and Gwyneth of something, the reason for why they stole the device in the first place.

37. Gideon kisses Gwyneth inside of the church confessional. Were you expecting him to develop feelings for Gwyneth so quickly? Do you think he knows they've already kissed in the past?
I think Gideon is seeing Gwyneth for the person she is rather than his preconceived notions.

38. From what I gather it seems that Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul! Did you ever suspect that Grace was hiding such a big secret as this? What do you expect will be Gwyneth's reaction when/if she finds out?
Yes, I've thought that they were Gwyneth's parents. I would think that Gwyneth will feel betrayed if and when she finds out.

39. Now that we know Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul, are you surprised that Gwyneth and Gideon have developed feelings for each other? Or do you think it was meant to be?
I think that the time traveling together and facing many different situations together would naturally make them care for each other. I don't know how deep the feelings may go though.

28. For a smart girl, Gywneth forgets to think sometimes. Really? Using her phone? At least she discovers the count's abilities. In a scary, life threatening kind of way. Which one would you prefer? Listening to your thoughts or the one he displayed?

Probably the ones he displayed.

29.The were ambushed! How? Who could be powerful enough? Or interested in their failure? The count? The creepy guy that looks like a vampire?

I vote Mr. George, as a alternate secret society fighting the guardians secret society.

30. Gywneth runs to Gideon help and ends up saving his life. She also wounds or maybe kills one of the assailants. Not bad for a girl without training. I'm wondering how did that action will affect her in the future?

I'm guessing she will grapple with guilt and grief. Also, that she will get training.

31.Gideon seemed really concerned with her. Maybe the kiss she saw in her last travelling isn't that accidental?

I could not be less interested in Gideon, he is one of the worlds most boring character.

32.It seems that someone is giving them away. But how can that be since they only discovered she was the Ruby two days ago?

Mr. George!

33.Am I the only one thinking is really strange that Mr. Whitman was the one discovering them on the bathroom. And how would he know about the file in the first place? What is happening here?

Chapter 14 - End

34. At first, Gideon is portrayed as a self-righteous know it all with a cocky attitude. How do you think his character has developed so far? Do you think it's all for show, or do you think that's just who he is?

I could not be less interested in Gideon, he is one of the worlds most boring characters.

35. Gwyneth's great-great-grandmother will only negotiate with Gwyneth and no one else. Why will she only speak to Gwyneth, and how does she know?

I think she's friends with Lucy and Paul and wants to give them a chance to meet her. Additionally, I think Gwyneth time travelled to meet hr when she was younger.

36. Oh no! It seems this was a trap as Gideon thought! Were you expecting Paul and Lucy to be there with Lady Tilney? Why do they want Gwyneth and Gideon to stay?

Yes. So they can tell them their side of the story.

37. Gideon kisses Gwyneth inside of the church confessional. Were you expecting him to develop feelings for Gwyneth so quickly? Do you think he knows they've already kissed in the past?

Yes. No.

38. From what I gather it seems that Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul! Did you ever suspect that Grace was hiding such a big secret as this? What do you expect will be Gwyneth's reaction when/if she finds out?

Yes. She'll feel hurt and betrayed.

39. Now that we know Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul, are you surprised that Gwyneth and Gideon have developed feelings for each other? Or do you think it was meant to be?

It's a romance novel, it was meant to be.

I think he's the product of a very privileged upbringing, and constantly being told that he's special. It would give anyone a bit of an arrogant streak. I'm not fully endeared to him yet. I'm assuming we'll see more sides to his personality as the trilogy continues.

35. Gwyneth's great-great-grandmother will only negotiate with Gwyneth and no one else. Why will she only speak to Gwyneth, and how does she know?

Because Lucy and Paul have gotten to her first, and she believes them.

36. Oh no! It seems this was a trap as Gideon thought! Were you expecting Paul and Lucy to be there with Lady Tilney? Why do they want Gwyneth and Gideon to stay?

I did expect it, and I'm desperate to know their side of the story. I don't trust some of the guardians and I definitely don't trust the count and I have a feeling Lucy and Paul have very good reasons for stealing the chronograph and hiding in the past. I hope Gwyneth and Gideon get to listen to them and make their own minds up without too much hassle.

37. Gideon kisses Gwyneth inside of the church confessional. Were you expecting him to develop feelings for Gwyneth so quickly? Do you think he knows they've already kissed in the past?

I don't think he knows about the kiss that Gwyneth saw. I don't quite buy the change in his feelings though - he seems to be into Charlotte and even though he saw some interesting sides to Gwyneth (when she saved his life in the park for example) he seems to have changed his mind quite quickly. I'm very sceptical of romances in YA novels though,

38. From what I gather it seems that Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul! Did you ever suspect that Grace was hiding such a big secret as this? What do you expect will be Gwyneth's reaction when/if she finds out?

Gwyneth will flip. I wasn't totally sold on everybody's theories on her being Lucy and Paul's daughter until this section. I thought Grace was hiding something though, other than lying about the birth date.

39. Now that we know Gwyneth is the daughter of Lucy and Paul, are you surprised that Gwyneth and Gideon have developed feelings for each other? Or do you think it was meant to be?

Are they not related though? Eurgh.

I'll definitely be reading the next in the trilogy.

Hm... I really have difficulty with this book. I am not sure what to think about it. The idea is intriguing. I like the concept of time travels, the mystery of The Twelve and the secret organization. I don't like the main character. Gwen is childish and seems to be stupid and simple in some moments, although I suspect with proper education and preparation she could be so much more. So perhaps the way she acts now is created on purpose to underline the change later on... I also have the feeling it is like an introduction to the next installments. Again, I don't like being left with obvious cliffhangers, but still I'm curious enough to read more.

I also have my suspicions about Gwen's parents. I believe they are Paul and Lucy. Not a well-built mystery here...

hahahaha
Yes he is hard to care about. I found he and Gwyn very flat and superficial characters actually
