Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
It seems to me that Grace could've been the woman's daughter. Or someone very close. The way in which she was worried lead me to believe that they were family or at least shared a special bond.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
Lesley seems like a likeable character. I like the fact that she accepted the existence of James even though Charlotte thinks Gwyneth is crazy. Charlotte annoys me. She's always telling Gwyneth to shut up and saying things like Gwyneth not knowing what she's talking about. She's very mean and I just don't like her. She seems too full of herself. James sounds awesome. I like his reactions to things, the length of girls' skirts. The denial that his fathers house is now a school. I like that he's kind of holding on. Maybe they'll go into James' life a bit more later. I love Caroline! She's sounds like an awesome child. I don't know so much about Nick though.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I think he was actually made to watch Gwyneth believe it or not. That's my opinion. Gwyneth is the only one who actually acknowledges his presence well everyone else ignores it. I think we'll also learn more about his role in the story. Otherwise, I think he's the mysterious character we all need.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I enjoy those little excerpts. The writing stye confused me in the beginning but then I became used to it.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
I think she knows what it is. Like James, she's in denial. I think she's refusing that it could happen to her right now. I'm more concerned about what happens when the family, especially Charlotte, finds out about it. It seems to me by the 'Swept of my feet' that she time travelled herself? When her sister said she was so excited about it.

1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
Hmmm, no idea. I'm not good at guessing.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
Well Charlotte is really pretentious, I don't think I would like being her cousin. Leslie on the other hand seems a nice girl :)
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
No good at guessing, remember?
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
The writing style is okay. I'm waiting to read a bit more to judge the humour. and, no, I don't really like these newspaper clippings. I never liked it in books.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
Well, in the movie (view spoiler) I don't know if it's the same in the book.

1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
The transition into chapter 1 was kind of abrupt, and I had no idea who these people and the one they left could be.
Now I'm certain that Gwyneth's the one that was left as a baby, which makes me have to believe that those 2 people are her parents. I'm not far enough into it to guess on the true identities or times of her parents.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
I think the strongest feelings I have are for Charlotte, and I don't like her a bit.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
Maybe it's part of the Guardians jobs to watch the house until Charlotte does her time bopping thing for the first time.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I like the writing style. It moves very quickly, and the excerpts at the beginning of each chapter are a succinct way to give information.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
She seems a bit naive, to have grown up in such an unusual family and she already sees ghosts. Plus she's been schooled well in the symptoms to look for in Charlotte so she can takecare of her if it comes on at school, so I'm mystified as to why she can't see it in herself.

Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
I suspect Grace is Gwyneth's mother.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
Leslie is awesome! I think she is a great friend and support for Gwyneth. Charlotte is obnoxious, she is snobby and spoiled and the family centers around her too much. James is interesting, I like that Gwyneth sees ghosts and that James isn't aware he is one. Caroline and Nick seem sweet, but I'm unsure of them just yet.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I find him suspicious and don't understand why more people in the boo aren't concerned about him.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I do enjoy the writing style and love the humor. The clippings are a fun addition.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
Very annoying! It's pretty clear what her symptoms mean and I wish she would take them more seriously. This seems like something not to take lightly, but I suppose it would take away from the story if everyone behaved rationally.

Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!) - As others have said Grace might be Gwen's mother. Otherwise, I'm not sure what is going on or who the 2 people are. Gwen seems too young at 16 to be talking about marriage. I did wonder if she is the person they 'abandoned' or whether they were referring to Grace.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far? I like Gwen. Lesley seems like a good friend and James is unintentionally funny. Charlotte is a bit of an enigma at the moment. Is she happy to have the gene? Does she like the attention? Is she worried that she will let her family down? She doesn't give much away.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him? - I have no idea if he is a friend or foe. Although, if he is supposed to be spying he's not making a very good job of it. I'm not sure why all the adults seem to have no concerns over him. Perhaps he has something to do with the 'mysteries' that Gwen is not allowed to know about.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter? I'm enjoying the story and the humour. I do like little excerpts and quotes whether they are real or made up for the purposes of the book.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene? Since one of the excerpts stated that time travel happens in a girl's 16th year I'm not sure how Gwen's family are so sure she does not have the gene. The butler guy reacted kind of weirdly when she had that 2nd dizzy spell. I hope there is some sort of explanation rather than it just being a device used to set up the plot even though it makes no sense.

Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!) I'm guessing Grace is her mom, and she left Gwyneth with her current family. I'm not sure if Grace is related to the family or not, since there are at least two families that carry this time-travel gene so far.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far? I love that Lesley is totally on board with everything that Gwyneth has told her! Other than that, I'm still reserving judgement. As of right now, I'm not a big fan of Charlotte, but she could grow as a character as the story goes on.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him? My guess would be that they aren't concerned because they know why he's there. Or they are powerful enough (through friends, money, whatever) that they don't have to worry about ordinary things like thieves. Personally, I think he might be the guy from the prologue and he's there to watch over Gwyneth since she's getting close to her own time just like Charlotte.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter? I really like the writing style. :) I had a hard time stopping long enough to do these questions! I do like that the clippings add little pieces to the puzzle and help the readers to begin to put things together before the characters do.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene? It does seem to skip around rather than being a more direct inheritance. Maybe they all know she's "adopted", but not who her mother was. Grace obviously wanted her hidden, and the best place for that would be in an "ungifted" branch of a family. Definitely need more information, though, to really be sure about this.

I forgot about Lucy! Hmmm, now I wonder how she fits in...

Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
I think Grace is Gwyneth's daughter.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
So far, I feel like we don't know anyone very well, but I am inclined to like Leslie, James, Caroline, and Nick. So far I don't like Charlotte, but I feel like she has the potential to improve upon acquaintance and become a really interesting character.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I think that he is part of an order of people dedicated to hunting down time travellers and no-one is concerned about him because everyone but Gwyneth has been hypnotized.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I love the newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter! Otherwise, I'm dead neutral on the writing style. It's not bad or good so far, at least for me.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
I think there is some method of predicting who has it, and they were lacking key information when they made that prediction.
Started reading this and now finding it quite difficult to put down!
1. I think Grace is Gwyneth's mum. As for who they're hiding initially I though Gwyneth (making it so no-one knew when exactly she was born). Now (I've got to Chapter 7) (view spoiler)
2. I feel like I don't know any of them. James seems interesting so far. I hope Charlotte mellows a bit.
3. Not a fan of him! Not sure what he's up to but don't think it's going to be good.
4. I like the clippings - they seem to give little teasers about what's happening in that chapter.
5. This was driving me nuts! Everyone is going on about the symptoms and she can't figure it out... Think her family have been blinded by their expectations of what's going to happen.

Comments and Questions - December 2: Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
I think Grace is the mother of Gwyneth. Yes indeed, I hope I will remember them all. I think I'm going to read the prologue again since Lucy has been mentioned.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
James seems interesting, I think he might play an important role since he's from the past and might help Gwyneth. Caroline sounds adorable. I also like Aunt Maddy so far, still not so sure about Gwyneth.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
Yes, I wondered why the parents, adults in general weren't concerned at all, and the kids were. That was a bit weird. I think he's interested in the time traveller, maybe he's a guardian?
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
It's a translation so I don't know how it is in German but the English version is easy to follow, no complicated writing style. I had some giggles yes. The paper clippings can be a bit confusing at first but I think they will be useful to understand the consequences of time travel since time travel is quite a tricky concept.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
Yeah, that was a bit predictable and typical YA. I read further so I know why but the excuse they gave didn't convince me.

2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
Oh i like Leslie a lot. And I'm glad that she believes Gwyn. I hope we get to see more of their interaction.
James seems like he is going to be the joker/funny/laughable little sidekick.
Charlotte. i agree with everyone. She seems a stuck up. And her grandmother is even worse!
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I'm assuming he is a watcher of some sorts, that all the adults know about. But the adults could also be ignoring him, since they seem to ignore Gwyn and her thoughts/powers.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I'm loving everything so far. It's such an easy read! I got to chapter 3 in no time!
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
Well.. for us it's pretty obvious but i feel like she's been neglected by her family, because only Charlotte is supposed to have the gene (how on earth do they know other people don't have it???). And Gwyn has so ingrained in her head that it's easy enough to miss the signs. However i have the feeling the buttler knew.

Chapter 3 - Chapter 5
6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
9 - The second time travel happens. This one was a very close call, with everyone else trying to find her. What did you think about Mr Bernard's showing up out of nowhere? He is a strange fellow. I keep thinking he suspects Gwyneth's time travelling gene, but if he does, he hasn't mentioned anything!
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
12 - Mr Whiteman wears a signet ring just like Gwyneth's grandfather used to. And then he says that Charlotte won't be back in school "until everything has ...returned to normal". Do you think he is a Guardian? Or maybe a watcher of sorts? He definitely knows something, specially considering the design of his signet ring.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?

6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
I guess I would have hidden myself until it was over.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I'm not suprised the author chose Isaac Newton. After all her did a lot of studies on the occult. I'm sure there is a conspiracy with the count they mentioned when Gwen was in the past for the 3rd time.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
It's a bit enigmatic. What's all this stuff about an emerald egg?
9 - The second time travel happens. This one was a very close call, with everyone else trying to find her. What did you think about Mr Bernard's showing up out of nowhere? He is a strange fellow. I keep thinking he suspects Gwyneth's time travelling gene, but if he does, he hasn't mentioned anything!
Yeah, I got the same impression. suspicious...
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
No, I don't think so.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
Maybe. I remember that in the movie she had this big folder with all kinds of wikipedia prints from all different period. She went a bit overboard.
Yes, definitely
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
Yes! Maybe there's a law or something about the same person being twice in the same room. (view spoiler)

Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done? - I'm not sure what else she could have done. She would have had no money and nowhere to go.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling? - We already know there is a secret society and that all the time travel stuff is hush-hush even among family members.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision? Weird. Is the chick coming out of the egg Gwen or the person who was abandoned in the prologue (if that's not Gwen)? -There's a picture of the Big Ben clocktower on my copy. Is that the clocktower that Gwen climbs?
9 - The second time travel happens. This one was a very close call, with everyone else trying to find her. What did you think about Mr Bernard's showing up out of nowhere? He is a strange fellow. I keep thinking he suspects Gwyneth's time travelling gene, but if he does, he hasn't mentioned anything! - I think he knows more than he is letting on. Still not sure if he will end up being on Gwen's side or not.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant? - Might have been one or more of the servants or an insurance scam or maybe another time traveller is following Gwen and took the opportunity to steal things when everyone was looking for her.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret? - Not if she keeps on looking where she is currently. I don't think they'll find much help in Back to the Future, lol. But she also mentioned some books so if she researches deeper she might find something. Newton is a good clue as he was into the occult and lots of people have written about it.
- I think he is a member of the secret society but not sure as what. I'm wondering if he is involved with the man who watches the house and whether it is normal for time travellers to be watched or if it's something to do with Gwen.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him? - It may have been Gideon. If so, I'm not sure why she was trying to hide our Gwen. It may just have been a boy from the past.

6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
I figured that none of the 'modern' things of her time would be there when she travelled. Since in the prologue the woman travelled back so far. I think that was the smartest thing she thought of so far. I probably would have gone home too since I knew the place.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
Not really. Maybe Gwyn's ancestors knew Isaac Newton or he was family? That's one of the things I'm anxious to see.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
It sounded eery. As Nick said. I think Lesley has a point. I hope something doesn't happen to her. When I first read the vision, I thought it was a bit weird. Clock tower? Ravens? Gwyneth is involved? I'm hoping that we can see how it folds out.
Mr. Bernard seemed like the type of person to turn up their nose at a few things, but I don't know him well enough to really say. He was 'there' at both of Gwyn's moments. He seems to know what's going on.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I think so. I think that was a cover up and they used the only person they could as a suspect.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
I love Lesley. So far, she's my favourite character. I think she will. She seems to be the type to find out things. She's really determined. And I like the fact that she gets worried about Gwyn.
I think like the man in the black that watches the house, Mr. Whitman watches the school. I think both those characters have a deeper part to play.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
Since she didn't seem all that surprised after she acknowledged Gwyn 1's presence, I think something may have happened to her before? I can't wait to find out what that's about.

6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
Time travel would be awesome but it would be scary too. If they could control it that would be better. But yes, it's logic she went to what is most familiar to her, I would do that too.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
Maybe, the Guardians 'club' seems intriguing and quite mysterious. There must be a reason the two lovers in the prologue were hiding away from them.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
Vague. Now they need someone who can interpret it. Maybe Gwyneth will be in danger.
He's 'part' of the family for a very long time so I guess he had time to snoop around and listen at the doors :p He seems to be clued-in the family secrets.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
Maybe. I thought the theft was a cover up and Gwyneth was used as a scapegoat, maybe the servants did it. Or like what has been suggested above Gwyneth is followed by another time traveller (that would be Gideon?).
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
She's pretty cool as a friend. She might contribute something to uncovering the secret, but I think she will also be important as a supportive friend.
Definitely, I think he's part of the 'secret club'.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
Yes, I think it's him (I understood that they are the only 2 time travellers alive or Lucy is still alive too).
Since Gwyneth 1&2 are the same person, I think Gwyneth 2 knew that Gwyneth 1 was in that same room, because Gwyn 2 is Gwyn 1 that time travels later so Gwyn 1 actually sees Gwyn 2 in one of her later time travels. Mmm, I don't know why exactly she hid it from the boy but it's time travel so that can turn out to be complicated.

Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
I wonder if Grace could be Gwyneth's mother. Yes, a lot of 'G' names.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
Charlotte is not very likeable, I'm sure due to her feelings of importance as being the one considered to be a time traveler. I find it very interesting that Gwyneth can see ghosts and yet no one believes her. (If time travel is acceptable, why not the ability to see ghosts?) Gwyneth is overlooked by the adults in her family as someone who is not deemed important, I guess due to their belief that Charlotte is the one who carries the time-traveling gene.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I'm sure he has a part to play. Maybe the adults know why he's there.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
Yes, so far I'm really enjoying the writing.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
That's a mystery to me. Why are they so convinced that Charlotte is the one?

At her age, it's reasonable for the first instinct to be home. I probably would have explored more.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I definitely think it's a conspiracy of sorts. A secret society, special training...screams conspiracy!
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
I have to be honest, I've finished the book and it's still goobledygook to me.
I like Mr. Bernard. Definitely more going on there than first appearances imply.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I think all the little 'tidbits' are important.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
I want so badly for Leslie to be included in everything. Gwyneth needs someone she can trust near her, and I don't think anyone has every been truly honest with her in her entire life. Except probably Leslie.
12 - Mr Whit4eman wears a signet ring just like Gwyneth's grandfather used to. And then he says that Charlotte won't be back in school "until everything has ...returned to normal". Do you think he is a Guardian? Or maybe a watcher of sorts? He definitely knows something, specially considering the design of his signet ring.
It makes sense to have someone from the Guardians placed into Charlotte's school to watch over her. Apparently these time travellers are important.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
The more I think about this, the more I wonder if Gwyneth doesn't have some kind of special abilities. Maybe she can cross her own timeline. That's a classic taboo in time traveling (for humans, we aren't going to bring Dr. Who into this) so she would definitely be special if she could do it.

I think the right thing to do was definitely to go back home and get some training on how to deal with the situation. Just tell someone already Gwyneth!
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I'm not sure how I feel about the usage of Newton, but I don't think there's going to be too much of a conspiracy. It's not a particularly long book after all. I think he's just going to be mentioned a couple of times as someone who once did some calculations.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
Interesting! I think the clock will be important as there's also a clock on the cover. I think her visions really do tell the future in a roundabout way seeing as she saw the guy (I don't remember who) have a panther jump on his chest and a few days later he was dead of a heart attack. It will be interesting to see the symbolic importance of the sapphire egg and the berries.
I think there's more to Mr Bernard than meets the eye. He's Lady Arista's man servant right, and she's the one that knows everything about the time travelling? I think he's related to the guardians in some way.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I think all the tidbits are going to be significant in some way. Some of them seem like gibberish at the moment and I really want to know what they mean.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
She won't find anything in back to the future but I think she might find something in a book somewhere! I have a feeling that Gwyneth isn't going to get help from anywhere and she will basically self-train with Leslie's help.
I wasn't expecting him to be involved! Not sure how yet, but this could be interesting. I love how little significant tidbits keep being dropped into the narrative - makes me really want to keep reading.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
There's a weird situation here where the other Gwyneth would obviously remember hiding behind the curtain and seeing herself kiss the boy. Haha so she knew that was what she had to do in that moment! Will be fun to see how she gets to that point from where she is now. And the boy has to be Gideon.

That would be really shocking - walking down the street, and suddenly you're on the same street, but in the past. And considering she would have been in modern clothes, everyone would have been either giving her odd looks. It kind of makes sense that she went home - if I saw my house, I don't know if I could resist.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I could see it being something like that. The pieces at the end of every chapter make me think it could be.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
That was more that a little creepy and to be honest more than a little ominous. I want to see what everything means (because it's all going to mean something).
I've been thinking the same thing, does Mr. Bernard know she has the gene? I think he's at least suspicious of it.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
OHHHHH YEAH. That necklace is going come back. I'm calling it now.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
I don't know - maybe?
12 - Mr Whiteman wears a signet ring just like Gwyneth's grandfather used to. And then he says that Charlotte won't be back in school "until everything has ...returned to normal". Do you think he is a Guardian? Or maybe a watcher of sorts? He definitely knows something, specially considering the design of his signet ring.
I don't know what he is, but I think he's really suspicious. Gwen said that he had come to the school fairly recently, right? Maybe he was sent there to watch her?
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
I don't know if that was Gideon. Because I don't know if she would be acting so suspicious about seeing herself. UNLESS she could get in real trouble for crossing timelines. And if it is Gideon, would he be willing to tattle on her about it. This is one of the things I love about time travel, because there's that danger of just of being in one place at a certain time, you could change so much and not even know it.

Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
A lot of C names too it seems like. Maybe it's someone Gideon met in his travels?
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
Charlotte seems like a jerk, though I suspect it may be because she's been told all her life that she's going to get dizzy and time travel (and been spoiled rotten) and so she's probably faking being dizzy because she's ashamed of it not actually happening.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
Ghost? There seems to be a lot of them from what Gwyneth was saying.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I like it so far. It has a nice easy to read flow.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realized she has the gene?
It made it sound like only one could have it or something, but I think they're just so focused on Charlotte that no one else registers. Plus they don't seem the type of people to admit they made a mistake.

6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
Gwyneth was untrained so I think it only natural that her first inclination was go to a place familiar to her.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
Maybe...
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
I'd like to read more before forming a thought over that one. This book has characters with serious theatricals.
I think Mr Bernard know of Gwyneth's time travel gene but excellent butler (yeah right) that he is, he keeps it a secret. Maybe he has a more substantial reason but for now I remain blissfully ignorant of that.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I think so.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
I'm not particularly keen on the contradictory points between old tech-new tech. I was reading it but not really connecting with it.
Oh he definitely is someone important.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him? Let's read on and find out! ;) I think the other Gwyneth was from a more future Gwyneth? Unless there's a Gwyneth from the past.

I honestly didn't notice the little differences in things, except for the car. I think I might have been inclined to stay right where I was, if possible, but going home seems like an equally reasonable option.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
Absolutely, well, I haven't read Da Vinci's code, but I'm voting on battling secret societies.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
It seemed pretty ominous, but I have no clue how to interpret it.
He is so creepy! I think he's the leader of a super secret society of some kind, and he totally knows Gwyneth is time travelling.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
That was pretty weird, since she didn't actually take anything at the time. I'm guessing it will be significant.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
Yep, she seems super smart.
Super secret society! I vote he's a henchman of some kind.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
I think the boy is the famous Gideon de Villiers, but he doesn't know she can time travel.

I wasnt able to get my book until today but I will catch up!

Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
It seems like this is going to be the mystery of the book. I would guess she is Lucy's sister just by the way they talk about her.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
I love Leslie she grounds Gwyneth's character well. I am very intirested to see if she meets James later in her 'travels'.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I have a feeling that the 'travelers' know who he is, maybe some kind of watcher that comes when someone is of age for their first travel? Or maybe he is just a wizard ;)
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I do like unique writing styles. It brings a certain personality to the book itself.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
I think Mr. Bernard has an idea.

December 3
Chapter 3 - Chapter 5
6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
I thought she actually handled it better than I would have. I most likely would have found a bench to sit on to have a good cry. It makes sense she would go home, as the family has a history with this type of thing and might be able to help her.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I don't know, possibly. They do have a headquarters and all.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
I think that Gwen's Mom is right, we probably will be able to find something that happens in the story that will go back and make the whole thing make sense.
I'm guessing that Mr. Bernard is at least a member of the Guardians, probably in place to watch everyone.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I didn't necessarily think so at the time, but now that I've read everyone else's answers it makes sense that it would. Certainly the kiss episode will show up again.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
Eventually, I think she will be more helpful than the family certainly.
He does seem to know something. Just have to figure out if he's a good guy or not as no obvious enemy has surfaced yet.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
I think it was probably Gideon. I would guess maybe its against some rule to travel without some kind of plan? No idea really.

December 3
Chapter 3 - Chapter 5
6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
Since they had discussed how long her home had existed, I thought that was a good choice for her to go back there. I think it made sense for the doorbell, cars, etc. to resemble the time period she had traveled back into.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I really have no idea how Sir Isaac Newton fits into this story but found it interesting they referenced him. I'm not sure what is going on but the fact that Grace hid Gwyneth's real birth date and the fact that she's the gene carrier from her daughter as well as everyone else, there is likely something very dangerous about it that she was trying to protect Gwyneth from. It makes me think that it's possible Gwyneth may have been the baby hidden in the prologue for 16 years... maybe... although I can't quite reconcile that either since Gwyneth's mom is with her now..
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
This part definitely interests me the most - especially because it referenced 'Lucy' and Gwyneth. What's the story on Lucy???? I had a really hard time putting this book down after finishing Chapter 5!
Yes, I think Mr. Bernard is definitely in the know on what is going on with Gwyneth but unsure how he fits into this yet.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I was surprised and confused why they would say there were some items stolen during her time travel escapade, but I'm thinking it will come back up again in some form or fashion.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
Leslie is an awesome BFF and super-sleuth, I think she will come up with some good leads for Gwyneth. (But maybe not from 'Back to the Future' movies!!! Ha!
I agree that Mr Whitman is ALSO involved in some way because of the matching signet ring. I didn't know what was up with Charlotte at all... She apparently hasn't experienced any time travel so I don't think she is carrying the gene after all, but is she milking it like she is going to change? Or maybe she still really thinks she will 'time travel' any second now and that's why she's sticking by the homestead?
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
Yesssssss.... This was another very interesting part! Gwyneth must have known about her other self since she wasn't shocked -- plus, she was so smooth about trying to hide her other self. Not sure who the boy is but am looking forward to reading more!

I think that was natural. She was looking for some place familiar and safe. I would have done the same thing.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
I have no idea what Sir Isaac Newton has to do with this but I'm curious to find out.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?Sounds ominous for Gwyneth. Who is Lucy?
9 - The second time travel happens. This one was a very close call, with everyone else trying to find her. What did you think about Mr Bernard's showing up out of nowhere? He is a strange fellow. I keep thinking he suspects Gwyneth's time travelling gene, but if he does, he hasn't mentioned anything!
I believe Mr. Bernard knows about Gwyneth and will have an important part to play.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
Sounds like someone took advantage of the situation to steal those items knowing that the intruder would be blamed.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
I really doubt it.
He must be involved in time travel in some way. Maybe he is a Guardian.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
This part was the strangest yet. If it was really Gwyneth, how could this happen?

1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
I agree with others who think it may be Gwyneth's mother.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
I like Gwyneth and feel sorry for her that no one seems to believe she can see ghosts. I don't really like Charlotte so far. And of course she gets all of the attention.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
Not really sure about him yet. Maybe he is a ghost?
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I like the writing style and the clippings before each chapter.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
I guess they are so focused on Charlotte's abilities and oblivious to anything going on with Gwyneth.

Prologue - Chapter 2
1. Theories on the prologue? Who is Grace? (there seem to be a lot of "G" names in the family!)
My first impression was that Grace is the daughter of the woman. As I read, had this 'Once Upon a Time' moment of her leaving her child to protect her. But I could also see Grace being the mother when I reread the Prologue.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
She's definitely introduced a lot of characters thus far. Lesley seems to fill the role of sarcastic best friend, but I'm interested to see more of her siblings. They've only been lightly touched upon, and they are younger, but considering her frustrating relationship with Charlotte, I hope to see she has a better one with the siblings.
,b>3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I definitely think he's watching over the household, possibly even Gwyneth in particular. Considering the fact that no one is concerned, I figure they know what's going on and don't feel like telling her, though they may think he's there to watch over Charlotte, not Gwyneth.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I really like the clippings. They add a little something extra to the story. The writing is decent as well, typical for the genre, which makes it a fun and quick read.
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
Really annoying!!! But typical. Nobody ever seems to realize these things until they get slapped in the face with them. In this case, we're able to blame all of the focus on Charlotte for overlooking Gwyneth's symptoms (though I do think it's stupid that Gwyneth is brushing it off considering everything).

Seeing how she never expected to be the one time traveling, I would agree that going home as quickly as possible would be best. I think the author does a great job of explaining why and how it could be dangerous to just be thrown to another time.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling? Well, they definitely have the whole secret society going on between the time travelers and these Guardian people. Also, seeing the prologue and how Gwyneth had to be hidden away, I'm definitely on board with the conspiracy train :).
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision? I think it definitely showed danger coming to Gwyneth through her time travelling adventures. Not sure what else beyond that.
I think he suspects as well. I'm not sure how he fits in yet, but I'm thinking maybe he's there to watch out for her...?
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant? Possibly, but my thought is that those snippets are just to help flesh out the world and help the reader to get a feel for how things work. I'm thinking it was more of a tongue-in-cheek thing that she would be blamed for stolen items like that. I could be wrong, though :)
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret? It would be fun if she did, but I'm not sure that will happen. It seems to be too closely guarded to me.
Yep, add another one to the conspiracy!
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him? He's the right age to be de Villiers. I'm not sure why she would be so worried about hiding herself, though, if that's the case...

Well, I suppose knowing how often it was going to happen and that her family had critical information that she could use it makes sense. I think I'd be rather freaked out too. At least she knows she's going to get back. Though they keep making references to people getting stuck.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
Maybe, seemed like a stretch on the genes cause you to be born on a certain day. But maybe it's because of events they started in the past. Maybe something like you're supposed to go find Isaac Newton and bring him back knowledge from the future?
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
It's probably cryptic enough that it could point to anything but will be apparent after the fact.
It seems strange that she wouldn't want to see her time jump since she seems most concerned with people not believing her.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearance of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I thought it was maybe just a way of claiming theft of things and selling them on the sly. But maybe someone else stole them but they didn't get noticed right away.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
Maybe, I hope she's used for more than just a sidekick. She seems so nice it would be sad for her to always be the helper.
Hrm. I suppose maybe they're both travellers. Maybe his computation hit the average of their two birthdays and since they're only one day apart it came up with Charlottes. These things usually end up being a bunch of adults trying to take advantage of the teens.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
I assume that's her in the near future of herself so she knows the guy shouldn't see her. I don't think it's Gideon because he probably wouldn't be as freaked out by dual Gwyneths since he time travels.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
I do think James is coming around. There is some sort of "effort" going on by the society and James may be helpful in shedding light perhaps?
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
I'm curious to know why Gwenyth is the last traveler.. Obviously this somehow ties into the society's effort somehow. It's annoying how in the dark Gwen is and no one seems to be anxious to fill her in - even her mother. Although I think her mom just seems to be in denial as she did not want this "life" for her daughter.
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
Not sure... She is not a happy lady for sure and it's funny how she projects her feelings of jealousy onto her sister! (As if!) Again, some of her issues may be related to whatever the society's effort is and maybe it is something she feels strongly about and wanted to be a part of - if even through her daughter.
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
Not sure.. but it's interesting that they do end up kissing at some point when he seems to like Charlotte at this point!
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
No, I do not think it's a coincidence. I'm guessing they had Mr Whitman at the school so that someone could keep tabs on the girls ("Charlotte") during the time they are at school and away from home.
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
I do think Mr. George is aware the travelers may have other abilities - am curious to know what other capabilities other travelers have had, especially Gideon.
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
Love Mr George and little Robert, as well as the seamstress.

6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
I think that she did the right thing, she felt safer going home as it was familiar to her.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
Yes I think it is going to be something important to do with him.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
That was a bit odd, I'm not sure at the moment what it meant, it couldn't have been good though!!
It sounds like he has been in that house for years but kept himself to himself but knows exactly what is going on, OR he is one of the guardians.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I think that this will come back to bite her in the butt later on, it wouldn't have been mentioned otherwise
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
Yes, in fact I think Gwyneth is going to get more help from her than everyone else as they seem to still not believe her about the time travelling
Yes he is definitely something to do with it, probably a guardian.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
Not sure about this one, usually you can not pass yourself in the same time stream (Dr who wibbly wobbly ref) but it maybe something else that she can do that other people cant, like see ghosts.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
Yes, I think he is aware but doesn't want to admit it to himself, maybe he will be able to help Gwyneth with a problem in his time, or she may even meet the "real" James later on
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
I'm not sure about this on at all
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
Again not too sure, she is so adamant that it should be charlotte and not Gwyneth, it makes me wonder if there is some big secret treasure or family secret that she doesn't want Gwyneth to find out about.
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
I don't know about this one, I need to read a bit more to form an opinion
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
Hmmm maybe, but again, everyone was so convinced that it was going to be Charlotte and not Gwyneth that maybe he is only there to keep an eye on Chrlotte.
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
yes definitely and also find out who the little boy was, but maybe all travellers have different abilities.
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I like Mr George

6 - So, as expected, Gwyneth travels back in time. What did you think about the little differences in everything (like the doorbell, the cars, etc)? And Gwyneth's first thought was to go back home. Do you think it was the right thing to do? What would you have done?
I loved the differences and how once she sees the car she knows something is up. I think my initial instinct would have been to go home hoping that I'd find some safety there. I loved how she asked what the year was and no one helped her.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
That would be interesting. I do like that she is doubting Newton's calculation.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
I was really interested in the fact that all the family members felt the cold. What happens in her vision was so vague but the details were so specific - very confusing!
I think Mr. Bernard is there to watch over everyone and probably is connected with the man outside.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I'm not entirely sure that reference is for Gywneth's visit because it didn't seem like she took anything.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and gogle! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
I think she'll be more help and provide a lot more guidance than Gywneth's family. She is already creating a folder of significant world events for her to track and read about.
I can agree with a watcher/guardian theory but I don't know if he's the same as Mr. Bernard. No matter what, he does not seem to be a threat.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
I'm not sure about this yet. I just am trying to figure out if Gwyneth 1 is "then" Gwyneth or another Gwyneth (confused?)

Chapters 6-8
14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
I think he has but still doesn't want Gwyneth to know that he has. I think he'll be able to help her and maybe they'll cross paths.
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
When I first read that poem, I right away saw that there were 12 gemstones and I was trying to figure out how that fit into everything. It was very much like Aunt Maddy's vision.
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
I saw this as a power struggle. Who wouldn't want their child to be the special one?
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
This goes back to one of my earlier responses about who Gwyneth 1 really was.
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
No. I think he is there on purpose. Especially since they are at the age when they first start time traveling they would need someone to be there all the time. And he was even their teacher for a double period which seems really planned.
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
I think that might be the case. I hope they pursue this a little more.
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
Mr. George - he seems to be the most relaxed at this point.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
I'm really hoping she comes across him when he's alive. Obviously he won't know her but hopefully she'll be able to gain his trust. I'm not sure about coming to grips with being a ghost - it hasn't said how long she's known him for but it's been since before the book started so he's had plenty of opportunities to see how things have changed. I'm not sure why they haven't talked about how he died until now.
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
I haven't put the two together yet. The sapphire must be a reference to a time travaller, but I'm not sure about the others yet.
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
She's almost like a cartoon character, her reaction was so over the top. I really disliked the way that her immediate reaction was that it must be a lie. Why would you want your own daughter to go through something potentially dangerous? I think she was enjoying being the mother of a time traveller and will miss the attention.
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
I think I'm going to enjoy the lead up to this one. I think there's an issue with crossing time lines - all these mentions of not going back within your own lifetime etc. Maybe Future Gwyneth didn't want Gideon to know that she'd crossed her own timeline.
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
No I don't at all. I think he was planted there.
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
They must know something about other abilities - otherwise seeing ghosts would come as more of a shock!
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I really disliked the doctor. He's mean and seems to be holding his grudge against Lucy against Gwyneth and Grace, which isn't fair.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book? - I think deep down he knows he is dead but he doesn't want to believe it. Everything around him has changed, no one sees/speaks to him apart from Gwen and all the people he knew are gone. I think Gwen will meet him in the past.
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts? - The same as before I think the chick is Gwen. Possibly Lucy is the sapphire. Not sure about the ravens other than Gwen's black hair.
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention? - At the moment I think it's all about her no longer feeling special as she is not the mother of the ruby. Although, perhaps there were restrictions put on her life because they thought Charlotte carried the gene and so Glenda had to believe it was all worth while and now has found out it was all for nothing.
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double? - I think it's to do with crossing your own timeline/being in the same time and place twice.
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher? - No
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions? - It wouldn't surprise me.
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked? - I liked Mr George. The Dr wasn't nice and Falk de Villiers was but I'm wondering if it will end up that Falk is the one that Lucy and Paul were talking about in the prologue. It could be the Dr but that seems a bit too obvious.

I agree.
I agree.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
I think he's still in denial. But since Gwyn isn't constantly reminding him that he's dead, he's probably starting to accept it. I think he could maybe help Gwyn in the future. She did after all travel back to a time when the school was still his father's townhouse and saw herself there.
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
I mentioned before that as the story progressed maybe the vision would somehow in a weird way come to pass. I mean, we're learning about the prophecy and stones and such.
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
I don't like her at all. She's very stuck up. I feel that she's the type to get angry if things don't go her way. Then again I do understand where she's coming from. It was believed for 17 years that her daughter was the gene carrier and all of a sudden after immense preparation, she finds out it's her niece instead.
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
I have a feeling that Gideon knows anyway. He kept calling her Winnie. And he mentioned about travelling to the safety of 1953. I think he knew there was something about Gwyn, but he was just waiting. Although, why she (past her) refused to allow Gideon to see her, that is still unknown to me.
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
I think it was. As we know, the Guardians keep the gene carrier safe. I think Mr. Whitman was to keep Charlotte (now Gwyn) safe, in case they travelled while at school.
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
Mr. George seems very accepting. I like his nature. I like that he didn't jump to conclusions or overreact. He seems rather fascinated by all this. I don't think anyone else has these abilities though. Gwyn seems to be starting a whole new line of wonders.
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I liked Mr. George a lot. He didn't turn Grace and Gwyn away. Aunt Glenda is so annoying. Seriously, I can't stand her. The Doctor is kind of okay. His attitude is explained. Aunt Glenda is just rude and selfish. Seems that runs in the genes as she has passed it on to Charlotte.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
I feel like he might. And i hope he shows more often, i like him a lot.
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
I agree with some of Pigletto's thoughts. According to the poem of the 12, Lucy is the sapphire. So i think the sapphire breaking and a chick popping out, is telling us that Gwyn is really Lucy's daughter.
"Ruby red, with G major, the magic of the raven, brings the Circle of Twelve home into safe haven." I believe the ravens are a reference to Gwyn's power to see ghosts. The ravens are usually associated with spirits/ghosts and the otherworld.
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
I think it's mostly like it was said. She spent 16 or 17 years thinking her daughter was going to be the one to carry on the gene, and suddenly she isn't. I think she also is a spoiled brat, who needs to get what she wants.
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
I'm not sure. Maybe in the future Gwyn ends up being a double agent? Or just the crossing yout own timeline.. it seems to be a big deal in most movies.
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
No. I think he was sent there to keep an eye on the traveller.
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
I think each traveller might have their own power. Giddeon seems like he can read Gwyn's mind sometimes. We will see.
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
Oh i like Mr. George a lot. And the seamstress and little Robert.
Hate aunt Glenda. I'm not sure about the Dr or Falk. I think Falk is more ruthless than he appears. I also don't trust the count or his buddy from Transilvannia.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
I don't know if he'll ever understand, he seems pretty stubborn to me.
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
yeah the sapphire egg probably represent the same person as in the the poem.
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
Maybe. I don't trust this Secret group of Count Sain-Germain. They hide too many secrets
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
probably because there's some sort of rule about being twice in the same timeframe
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
No I don't think so.
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
Yes, although after seeing people going back in time what could be more surprising?
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I liked the seamstress, funny woman, and Mr George too. But I didn't like the doctor. And I have a feeling I won't like the count either.

I think her plan to go back home was preobably the smartest thing she could do, since she really wasn't prepared.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
There seems to be some sort of historical twist so possibly.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
It was fairly vague so I am not sure. But I love that the family members have certain abilites.
I feel the same, or at very least he suspects she may be the carier.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I do, I think once the others discover she is the time traveler they are going to be suspicious of Gwyneth.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
I do, I think Leslie is one of the few people Gwyneth has in her corner and Leslie genuinley wants to help her.
I do think he is a guardian and probably was stationed at the school to watch Chrlotte.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
I do think the boy was Gideon and Gwyneth 2 probably didn't want the boy to see her because time travel is weird about crossing paths.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
Yes. I think Gwyneth is going to meet him in the past at some point, and also that his memories will give her some kind of information she needs.
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
Oh! I didn't notice that, but I bet you're right.
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
I think she's also angry about whatever happened with Lucy.
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
Um, not sure. She doesn't want him to know she can cross her own timeline?
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
Nope.
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
I think he's part of the some other secret society spying on this one and they know about ghost seeing.
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
So far, I'm really liking both ghosts, and Leslie. Also the french seamstress was pretty funny. Hopefully she'll show up again.

I am sure that I would have done the same thing and try to go back home. She felt safer going to her family even if they would have no way of knowing her.
7 - That was a shock! This remotes back to Sir Isaac Newton. Do you think there's going to be a conspiracy going on, something like Da Vinci's code, but for teens and time travelling?
Possibly. I certainly see a swirl of different motives being worked by each group. Time travel, even if it is only to the past, is a great power that I am sure many would like to control.
8 - What did you think about aunt Maddy's vision?
I think they are right about the clock. The ruby seems to be a refrence to her 'title'. I am intirested to see how the raven/birds come about.
Mr. Bernard is more that what meets the eye. I think he knows more than he lets on and he has a reason for keeping quiet about it.
10 - The tidbit before chapter 5, tells us of Gwyneth's adventure, but it also blames her for the disappearence of some items. Do you think this will be significant?
I believe it is significant because it tells us that something else was going on besides her being there. Someone did take those items. We just don't know who yet.
11 - I love that Leslie was trying so hard to help. All that information and Back to the Future movies xD and Google! Do you think Leslie will be able to find something about this close guarded secret?
There is so much information available through the internet. It is the age of being over informed. She will find information, I am not sure if it will help or hinder them.
I am sure that he was placed there to keep and eye on Charolette. There are probably others in the school. This is certainly bigger than just the two familes.
13 - And the third jump takes Gwyneth to see herself in a wig and strange clothes. AND kissing this very handsome boy. Do you think the boy could be the famous Gideon de Villiers? And why was Gwyneth 2 trying so hard to hide Gwyneth 1 from him?
Gwyneth isn't ever going to be the well trained puppet that her cousin was going to be. Her mother wanted to keep her out of this mess very badly. She did it very poorly but she tried. I think it is more than just wanting her daughter to have a 'normal' childhood. She knows more than she 'should' and I think she knows things that she will share with Gwyneth that will keep her from 'doing what she is told'.

14. Do you think James is starting to come to grips with this ghostness? What role do you see him playing in the book?
I don't know, he still seemed pretty sure he was going to wake up soon. It would be great to have him help her out sometime in the past, but I'm not sure he would recognize her? I have to think about time travel a bit first.
15. Aunt Maddy's vision had a sapphire breaking and a chick popping out and ravens. It seems to be coming very close to the poem of the 12 time travelers. Thoughts?
I have to go read the poem again--is Lucy the sapphire? It's interesting, but I'm wondering why the poem ends with Ruby. Does the time traveling just stop?
16. Aunt Glenda is a rather mean lady. Do you think there's more to her protests than just wanting to be the center of attention?
Right now she just seems selfish and wretched. But maybe there is more to it.
17. Gideon was her secret love in the past. Thoughts? Why do you think she was so set on him not seeing her double?
I still think its because there is some rule about running into yourself.
18. We have confirmation on Mr. Whitman being a member of the group. Do you think it was chance that he was both Gwyneth and Charlottes teacher?
I'm sure they "placed" him there to help if needed.
19. Mr. George sounds remarkably calm about Gywneth's ability to see ghosts. Do you think the group knows of other abilities besides the time travel and visions?
I suppose if you believe in time travel, it becomes easier to believe in anything. I actually like her having extra abilities, I think it might be helpful in her traveling.
20. What a crazy and varied group of people. Was there anyone who stood out as your favorite? Anyone you really disliked?
I know we are supposed to dislike the Doctor, but I'm betting that his attitude and relationship with Gwen changes when he finds out she can see Robert.

I don't know about the guy, but whether or not the Grace here is the one that's mentioned later, I don't know. I don't know if it's really the same person or if were're being led to believe that.
2. So Leslie is Gwyneth's friend, Charlotte is her cousin, James is the ghost and Caroline and Nick are her siblings. Thoughts on the characters so far?
I like most of the characters - Lesley seems like a trip and a half. I don't know if I like Charlotte or not, she seems kind of stuck up. James is hilarious. Literally had me laughing when he was talking about Lesley. We haven't really met Caroline or Nick yet (or her mother). But I adore Maddy - might be my favorite so far.
3. What do you think is with the man in black outside their house? Why is no-one concerned about him?
I think the people who are "in the know" either don't consider him a threat or they do but are trying to handle it without alarming the Muggles, for lack of a better word. I do wonder if he's one of the Guardians.
4. Do you like the writing style / the humour and the little newspaper clippings or book excerpts before each chapter?
I do like the style. It's very funny. And I do like the clippings. I wonder if those are going to be more important?
5. How annoying that Gwyneth hasn't worked out her symptoms! I wonder why her family haven't realised she has the gene?
That really was annoying - if she knows all the symptoms, how has she not seen them in herself. I did find it interesting that the guardians noted Gwyneth's birth. Did they know that she has the gene? And why hasn't her family noticed until now?
