I have read a LOT of classics as a literature major, so I ended up cheating a bit, in that there wasn't a book I "always wanted to read". I completed the challenge twice and I went with 2 I hadn't read, Lorna Doone and Evelina. Both are fairly long, and have archaic language, so I wouldn't recommend them to someone who doesn't usually read classics.

Joanne | 477 comments I figured it was finally time to get to Northanger Abbey which was the last of Jane Austen's 6 books that I had not yet read. I ended up liking it better than Mansfield Park, which was really a slog to get through, but less than Persuasion, Emma and Pride and Prejudice, all of which I love. I honestly can't remember how I felt about Sense and Sensibility though.
