question
Is this appropriate for a HS library?

I'm cool with this book in the library, but do you think parents will take gas? How questionable can it be, onsidering that Celeste Ng and Jacqueline Woodson praised it? Parents can be weird, though (you don't know the same child I do) and even Follett limits (censors) the books made available to school libraries. Thanks

I can't see any reason why this book would be inappropriate for a HS library.
In my humble opinion, this should not just be in high school libraries, but MANDATORY reading in all high schools. It won't be, but a girl can dream! (Mom of two, ages 21 and 12). Actually, I just encouraged my tween to read it. This is a smart, important book, timely, full of heart and hope. Honestly, there's likely more objectionable material in any given episode of Riverdale, so...

I don't remember anything hugely controversial about it. I think HS can handle these topics.
