Who else started loathing Valentine

I hated that Valentine was becoming better siblings with Peter. I mean she said she loved Ender and even went to the other planet after the war. I hated what they were doing online too. I just started disliking her character after that.

I adore her and think she's beautifully complex and intelligent. She was kind of Ender's Virgin Mary figure though (a lot of protagonists have these) so I can see how you could be let down by her when the POV switched.

I know, right? Valentine was my favorite character! She adapted to her surroundings.

I always thought the other siblings feared Peter, though. I mean there's nothing wrong with her loving her brother, I just always thought that Peter was supposed to be the bad guy in the family.

You're underanalyzing the characters. Peter is messed up, but not evil. Or is he? That what kind but reasonably cautious Val is trying to figure out.

Okay. I think I'm getting it now. I'm thinking of her better. Like how she wants to get to know her brother better even though she thinks he might be hazardous. Okay.
