Josh | 6 comments I've been trying to remember the name of this book for a great deal of time now. I can picture a majority of it in my head but anything that would help me figure out what it is is not there. I remember it involving a younger couple who travel to this one snowy area. There is a train accident and they learn about a witch trial that had happened in the area that lead them to a house in the woods where the witch lives. If I remember correctly the witch doesn't appear to be human, more of a disfigured monster who killed her daughter and the man who wanted to marry her as well as a bunch of other people. I remember at the end of the book the two spirits of the forbidden couple killed by the witch had stolen the bodies of the main characters. It ended with the main character's spirits looking in on their bodies, while the forbidden couple ate dinner and the married couple decided to do anything to get their bodies back and that was the end of the book. I know from when I was looking for more books by the author he had also written some books involving Samurais I believe. It was a male author, I don't remember his name at all. I believe the title of the book also had Spirit in it in spider-web like writing. I would really appreciate help on this matter as it has been bothering me for years. I read this book roughly 8ish years ago. It was a supernatural, mystery, thriller kinda book if my memory serves right. I'd say it was aimed towards young adults or adults in general. Thank you for your time reading this and I really hope to find out what this book is soon.

Josh | 6 comments I believe it also had something to do with one of the forbidden lovers being a puritan.

Stephen (havan) | 151 comments I don't recognize this at all but I do have a suggestion....

First: Put some of the key details in the topic header. Many folks won't even read topics that don't follow this simple rule. Others MIGHT recognize it from the header if it contains a few details about the book.

Second: Check out this list http://www.amazon.com/Witch-Trial-Fic...

Spirit by J.P. Hightman has some similiarities, but this appears to the author's only book.

Josh, why did the couple travel into the area - were they vacationing, paranormal investigators, working on some assignment, etc.?

Is there much romance?

Glad we could we help. :)

And you're right. I think J.P. Hightman also writes as Jason Hightman (Samurai).
