Karen | 94 comments Just like the previous poster, I read The Master Butchers Singing Club for this prompt. There was no real reason for this, I've just had it for a while and it fit the prompt.

Ruth | 119 comments I've just finished The January Man: A Year of Walking Britain by Christopher Somerville. I hadn't really thought about the title and started reading it because in a year of lockdown I've got a bit obsessed with reading about walking (I've only been able to do short walks near my home for most of the year so reading about places I've not yet visited has helped satisfy my wanderlust). A few days ago I realised it fitted this prompt so Washing Dishes in Hotel Paradise will have to wait!

Marie | 1060 comments I read The Girl Who Circumnavigated Fairyland in a Ship of Her Own Making by Catherynne M. Valente.

I chose it because it was a book I really wanted to read this year and it fit this prompt best. It's always nice to have some easier reads at the end of the list too, so I'm reading downhill as I approach the end of the year.

Joanne | 477 comments I ended up reading A Dangerous Crossing (Rachel Getty & Esa Khattak, #4) by Ausma Zehanat Khan by Ausma Zehanat Khan for this prompt, which is book 4 in a series. I listened to it on audio because I was short for time, but I think I get more out of this series reading it, because the plots tend to be complex. This one centered on a missing woman and the Syrian refugee crisis.
