10.1. A Random Trip Back in Time.

Go to Random.org. On the right-hand side of the page is a box that says True Random Number Generator. Set the minimum to 1 and the maximum to 50. Have the generator give you a number.

Subtract the random number generated from 2015, and read a book first published in the resulting year.

REQUIRED Include your random number in your post.

Victoria (vicki_c) My first potential book selection and I already have a question. My book, Liar's Poker was published in 1989, but GR shows it as 1990 and then says (first published ... 1989) in parentheses. I assume this will be okay to meet the criteria for 1989? Of course, there are many editions with all kinds of publication dates. I never paid so much attention before.

The date that matters is the date it was first published. The other dates you see are when specific editions were published.

Teri-K I ended up with 1982, which apparently wasn't a good year for books - at least not ones I'd be interested in and can actually get my hands on. This morning it occurred to me to look at the Newbery Awards, and I found The Blue Sword. Right now it's listed as YA, but not children's. I'd like to have it verified, please, as not kids.
