Well, I got 12 of 18 right. My copy of Ducks is now a 4 lb doorstop. Looks like the play-in topic is speculative fiction or near future sci-fi which was way off from my guess, but all 3 of my play-in books made the list.
both Jason and C got 12/18 picks while Bob Lopez picked 11 right -- but all of Bob's correct picks were in the correct place (Bracket vs. Play-in) so he's our big winner by points! I picked the correct play-in theme & 2/3 of the play-in selections but that's the peak of my predictive genius!
Thanks to everyone for playing! Bob I'll reach out to connect you with Andrew for some TOB swag!
Dang. I think that's the second time I came in second. Can't we do like the Booker/Nobel Prize for Lit/Turner Prize/Scripts spelling bee and call a tie? jk, congrats Bob.
Thankfully I’ve already read half the shortlist. Provided I can find all the others I should be a completist this year.
Bob wrote: "I think I'm happier about this than anything else I've ever won! LOL"Well done...I'll be watching you in the future.
Bob wrote: "I think I'm happier about this than anything else I've ever won! LOL"I know! That's how I felt when I won. I was happy about it long after the Tournament was over.
Congrats Bob! I'm just happy to be that close at 12/18. I feel like I have *A* skill being so close two years in a row. :D

I just picked Mary Toft up from my library this morning, I'd put it on hold but actually preordered it so also have it on Kindle. Now I see it on the shortlist I'm going to read the paper copy because NEW BOOK SMELL. (Opening it and sniffing was the first thing I did.)
