Beta Reader Swap

Hi all,

I'm looking to do a swap with someone. I've never been a beta reader before, but as someone who writes and edits and reviews things on the regular, I thought that maybe I should do a swap with someone. Here's a quick description of my novel; it is a young adult fantasy.
The book opens to introduce heroine Hera Edwards, in the middle of discovering her long-term boyfriend is cheating on her. After making a fool of herself at his New Years party, she wanders to her favourite place - a pond hidden at the back of a church graveyard. There, we realise two things; Hera's father has passed away in recent years, and Hera has the power to influence the weather and life around her. Hera returns home, but not after catching the eye of a strange-looking woman. Over the next few weeks, Hera sees creatures that she doesn't believe to be real, and blames them on her mental instability. But when her younger sister confesses to being followed by the same strange woman Hera saw weeks before, things start to fall into place. When Hera's family is threatened by the very creatures haunting her, Hera must chose between damning them all or following an unknown woman to a place she's never been - into a world full of the strange, full of things and people like her.
The book is inspired by many Irish folklore tales but is mainly based on the story of the Tribe of Danu - a magical tribe of superhuman, or godly, people. This book is intended to be the first in a series and is also the first book I've ever written.
If anyone is interested, let me know! I can usually read through a book in a week or two weeks, depending on the length, and I will happily answer all questions asked and give my own opinion - where it's asked for!

Hi my name is Tom, I've been writing my book for many years, and am finally done. I'd love to swap with you. I'm from Norway, and the book is set in the viking age. In short, We follow the story of Aileen who gets taken captive by vikings raiding her home country of Ireland. Her captor Harald is just a boy no older than herself. Harald has a best friend named Erik. Erik's father Hakon tries to rape Aileen. Harald kills Hakon with a bit of assistance from Aileen, and manages to keep it secret from Erik into their adulthood, when Erik catches wind of Harald's killing of his father, and it sets in motion an old-fashioned blood feud between the two families which threaten to eradicate both. And Aileen finds herself dead square in the middle of it.
