My Side of the Mountain Vs Hatchet

I feel like My Side of the Mountain and Hatchet are often compared together as the survival stories. Atleast, I know in fourth grade that's what our teacher told us.

What do you guys think is the better story, in that criteria? I personally think Hatchet is more of a survival story, though I like My Side of the Mountain so much better.

They are both in survival genre. In one case it's an emergency, in the other it's a choice. They are both very well written.
