A little pond near the cornfield. Around the pond is grass and flowers.At night there are fireflies lighting up the area. There is also a weeping willow on the side of the shore that just barely touches the water. Echo the rouge lives here.

Darkness purred with happiness. Seeing the lovely place- but mostly the beautiful Moonshine.

Moonshine purred back. "This is amazing.." She then smiled at him warmly. "But I know something even more amazing..." She laughed lightly.

"Morning!" She chirped and stood, stretching. Then she sat down and waited for him tho get up.

He lazily blinked at her, admiring everything about his Moonshine.

Moonshine rolled her eyes and raced off to hunt.

Darkness stared after her. "Wait, where are you going?!" He clambered out of the nest and shook, then followed her.

"Hunting mouse-brain!" She said fondly, rolling her eyes. "I'm hungry!" She pricked her ears for prey.

He smiled and stepped into a lousy hunting crouch- One that was messed up because A) Darkness is a loner, not a clan cat B) He just woke up.

Moonshine stifled a purr of amusement and sighed. "No, like this." She helped straighten out his hunter's crouch so his belly no longer brushed the forest floor and he wasn't lopsided.

Darkness grinned at her, finally waking up fully. "Thanks."

Moonshine nodded and crouched, listening for the mouse scrabbling in the roots of an oak. She crept forward and pounced, biting the back of it's neck and killing it.

He watched in awe, wondering how she could possibly be his mate.

Moonshine padded over and began to bury it for later. "So....you gonna hunt?" She teased lightly.

Immediately he rose to the challenge. "Of course." Darkness used his skills (at least, the ones he has) to detect a squirrel eating nuts under a nearby tree. He crept towards it, making the corrections Moonshine had told him. One paw step....another....another...and...LEAP! He landed squarely on top of the squirrel, proudly giving it a satisfactory killing bite.

Moonshine purred in amusement. "Great catch!" She meowed to him.

His eyes lit up. "You think?"

Darkness smiled and buried his catch next to hers.

She caught her squirrel, nearly missing and sat until Darkness was finished hunting.

He glanced over at her. "I think we're done, why don't we eat here?"

Moonshine dug up her mouse and began gulping it down in famished bites, placing the squirrel neatly beside her. She looked up. "Sure, why not?" She gave him wide, fake innocent eyes.

Smiling, Darkness ate his squirrel, savoring the taste.

Moonshine looked away. No one had ever said that to her, or told her she was pretty. The toms in her clan disliked her for everything. But, she thought. Darkness likes you. That's what matters. She turned back and pressed her nose to his shoulder.
