Nan (xxmzsmilesxx) | 1167 comments When fulfilling book number requests I usually search the book up on Worldcat and see if the page number matches up to the change requests. If they do then I change it, however if they don't I ask them if to double check their page count, assuming they have the physical copy for the book. Though what happens if the obtain the page number from the publisher site and that conflicts with Worldcats data? Which one do I use?

Z-squared | 8576 comments worldcat isn't infallible. if the publisher's site is clearly for the same printing (same cover, pub date, etc.), then go with the publisher. but user with book in hand trumps just about everything, as long as you can confirm they're counting pages according to Goodreads standards.
