C.P. Cabaniss (cpcabaniss) | 661 comments You have until the 11th of November to post a poem and from the 12th to around the 18th of November, we’ll vote for which one we thought was best!

Please post directly into the topic and not a link. Please don’t use a poem previously used in this group. Only one submission per person is allowed.

Your poem can be of any length!

This week’s topic is: A drop in the ocean

The rules are pretty loose. You could write a poem about anything that has to do with the subject/photo but it must relate to the topic somehow.

BROKEN MOE
Dweams weally do come twue
A dwop in the ocean, happy tear for you
I get to stay in a fowever home
I’ll never have to wowwy about being alone

KATANA JOE
This place is a prison for the cowardly
They just don’t acknowledge it outwardly
If I had my hands around their throats
They could tell me what I already know

BROKEN MOE
How can you say that about my home?
I love my new mommy, I love her so
You’re just a big meanie to evewyone
When anyone can smile, I mean anyone

KATANA JOE
Smiles are just masks to keep us in check
When all I want to do is sever their necks
Violence and death are what we live for
Not to be somebody’s emotional whore

BROKEN MOE
Mommy will wash your mouth out with soap
She’ll use the worst tasting kind, I hope
Be nice to evewyone and you’ll be fine
Don’t wuin my home, it’s mine all mine

KATANA JOE
I’ll kill everyone inside of this hovel
Like a scene from a serial killer novel
You’re next, Broken Moe, so get ready
For a kick in the head so fucking deadly

BROKEN MOE
Get out of my bwain, you big fat jerk
I’ll hate you fowever if you go berserk
Don’t wuin my life, you doo-doo head
I hate these nightmares in my bed

KATANA JOE
Your worst nightmare will come to life
Every one of these throats deserves a knife
I’m the only one here who makes any sense
I’m the fucking landlord, now pay the rent!

HOST BODY
No! No! No! Stop it! I beg you!

KATANA JOE
Hahahahahahaha! Let’s murder this world together!

When I feel lost in a crowd;
When I feel free in the open space;
Wherever I am;
I try to remember:
It is my place...
and my time…
to celebrate…
and not to think that I am
anything more or less
than who I believe I am…
because I know
the fabric of the world
is not a single thread,
not one color,
not one place,
not one drop,
and not one time.
We are knit
as a curtain on a loom
as one word,
no matter it’s definition,
is not alone
telling an endless story.
If a mustard seed is insignificant
then the meal is as well.
An ocean cannot be an ocean
without the droplet.
Without everything...
there is nothing.
So it is all beautiful
and beautiful...
is the everything of it.
Every kernel is a loaf,
every past a memory,
every minute a future,
every snowflake a glacier,
every star a galaxy,
and every grain of sand a beach,
one in all,
All in one
my soul a particle
of God’s soul.

Thank you CJ. and CP
Do they still vote on the entries? 2 entries is surprisingly small compared to a few years ago.
