Record of a Spaceborn Few, by Becky Chambers

I started this book a while ago for week 41 (A book from the 2018 GR Choice Awards) and I don’t know if it’s the massive reading slump I’m in the middle of right now or what, but I’m not enjoying it as much as the first two in the series. I’m already a third of the way in and I feel like I haven’t gotten attached to the characters as with the other books, maybe because it seems like there are more of them?

I want to enjoy a quiet Sunday at home to force myself to read more (my attention span is ridiculously short these days) and see if I can get to it.

Has anybody felt the same as me reading this last instalment?

Yes. The first was my favourite book, the third is very different, and I liked it a bit less. But I love her new novella, "To be taught, if fortunate"!

Good to know I'm not the only one! It's not bad though, but I think I need something more gripping for my short attention span 😅 I'm going on holiday soon, hopefully I'll be able to finish it then!

Her new novella sounds really interesting, I can't wait to get my hands on it! She has such a unique way of weaving stories, I love it!
