How did you feel right before the end?(SPIOLER so don't look unless you've read the whole series!!!!)

So... right after Maxon tells America that she's the one and then she goes over to aspen and Maxon sees them together, I hated America. I mean, I think she should have come clean to him a long time ago instead of dragging it out!!! After reading that part I had to take a break cuz I had severe book character rage going on. But seriously America!!!! She was a character I loved and hated at the same time. How did you feel about that incident?

while i think that i had the same initial reaction, i think that at least there was a lot of consistency with America - meaning that she was always a bit less than clear about what she wanted and what her intentions are and especially in the 2nd book she was very teenage angsty - and that annoyed me more than anything..

but...if i hadn't read the Guard - i think that i would have had more sour feelings towards Aspen than i did in The One since it was clear to me at that point that at least subconsciously he was seeking out his alternatives

Eh... If America had just let Aspen talk to her about BREAKING UP FOR GOOD then the mess would've been avoided... Honestly I was mostly upset that Maxon wouldn't let her explain, and was being kind of a dick. "You better keep smiling til this whole thing is over."? I mean... He made up for it thankfully and realized his mistakes but man...There was feels... So many feels.

well, I can say that the ending was cliche' though I still like it hahahaha but not the part when the king died and stuff like that hohohoho but I did expect they'll be together at the end though BUT I KENAT ACCEPT THAT THE BOOK ENDED IN A WEDDING LIKE DUDEEE HAHAHAHAHA but thank God for ze novellas <3 <3 <3 xx

I'm happy it ended on a wedding... Cause that means it sets up a good stage for The Heir. (Though now speaking of The Heir I could totally see Maxon being really hard on any of his daughter's suitors. It was one thing when he had women throwing themselves at him literally when HE had his Selection, but I think he'd be LIVID if a guy tried to do anything to his little girl... It's a dad thing. My dad said: "If you get a boyfriend I am buying a gun." so...Yeah.)
