Welcome to Everless Buddy Read Discussion thread! This thread officially opens on November 4th and anyone can join at any time. Please keep in mind that spoilers are allowed in this thread but only up to the group's current reading place. Do not spoil the book if you've read further than the group. Any extra days can be used to catch up!

I started the book today.

It's weird to read a book written in present, but I hope I adapt to it soon.
I've read 2 chapters for now and I just want to rant a bit.

I don't really like Jules. She's a bit unconscious of what's happening. I mean, she really loves and protects her dad, and when he forbids her to go to Everless because now they're together she just LIES AND WANTS TO GO THERE? If you know your father has little life, if you go out he probably just die.

(view spoiler)[After my rant I started to enjoy the book haha. Even if I think the same about Jules, I like her relationships with other characters, such as Lora and little Hinton. And even it's soon to understand well the blood-money relation, it's so wonderful.

I didn't expect Jules' father to appear in Everless, but I'm glad they could, at least, talk a bit to each other.
And I'm thinking that maybe the advice he gave her is because she touched the queen when she was little? And maybe the queen has some magic on her and that's why Jules can stop the time? Hmm... What do you think? (hide spoiler)]

I’m loving the book,
So Ina and Jules went to the orphan and I cant figure the deal with the births out! I’m too excited.
What is up with Liam though, I have this weird interest in his story as well. Anyway I’ll keep on going, I’m in chapter 19 and feel like I can’t stop!

I, sometimes, wanted to shake Jules for what lies she tolds others (and herself) and tell her to stop making dumb actions. UGH.

But I love that it has a different kind of "mythology", that's not gods but two immortals beyond humankind.

I don't want to comment anything because I don't want to make any spoilers, but you both can go ahead with them! :D

Okay I finished it, really amazing. I can’t believe what happened, never saw it coming. I think I thought that the typical fairy tale or whatever was going to happen but noooo! What?! Liaaaaam I had a feeeeling!! Hahah woow I don’t want to spoil anything if Shorouk is reading it but wow! Bopeep which part was your favorite?! I’m definitely reading Evermore. I got it so I’m in for a buddy read if you are!

Yeah, it was all so different from the typical "fairytales"!

(view spoiler)[The part I really really loved and really touched me was when Jules went alone to the anachronimous city, where she discovered their real parents, that her father was her uncle and that INA WAS HER TWIN SISTER!! Omg, could it explain why they get together so well? I really wanted Jules to go back and tell her all the truth but I think it would make things worse...
I was so sad about Roan. He was not the best guy but he was innocent though... :(
Also, yes Liam! In my opinion he is a bit harsh, but he wants justice to be done. But he really have a soft heart <3 (hide spoiler)]

Ohh Then do you want to start reading Evermore on November instead? If you have the hype and don't want to wait!

(view spoiler)[ The part when Jules realizes that the Morse's are her family is craaaaaazy, I really enjoyed when Liam told her everything, I mean she was absolutely vulnerable but then took the strange to just go to Everless and fight the freaking Queen but then to realize that CARO was the real one, that took my by surprise. Roan dying was awful, I couldn't understand why she couldn't go back in time, Liam told her that she can do that? At the epilogue I really wanted her to kiss Liam haaaa! Anyway, I don't know how is she going to make Ina believe and trust her.. maybe if she shows her what she can do with the time? Anyway I dont knooowww so many questions! (hide spoiler)]

I've read it in spanish, what about you? I can't find the right translation to "hechicera".

I really liked Ina, and I would like them to be happy together or something!

And I don't know about Antonia, but I think they don't translate names? Hmm... Who's Antonia anyway? haha (I have really bad memory) (hide spoiler)]

I've read it in Spanish too, so it's perfect to comment words that we don't know the translation 8) Or names that doesn't know if they're translated or not.

Then I'm going to ask for a thread this november so we don't forget the story and the world!

Or that's what I understood haha that her real name is Antonia, remember the book that she found in the vault (bóveda) I believe she found out that her real name was Antonia in that moment or in Briarsmoor when she talked to the old lady I don't remember very well.

I agree, she doesn't make the best decisions, for starters she should've go straight to Ina after she found out the truth! She's her sisterrrr!! TWIN sister. That's other thing that I don't understand, if they're twin sisters (mellizas, which I believe they do have physical differences) weren't they suppose to look kind of similar? Weird.. How come they didn't notice? Maybe because of Jules's bad shape before coming back to Everless? I don't know..

Oh and another thing.. Maybe it's the translation but I thought the alchemist was supposed to be a male person? But maybe it really doesn't matter how the alchemist reincarnates.. (hide spoiler)]

Okay nice! I'll also read Evermore in spanish! I have it right here, the book has 33 chapters without the epilogue. I can start today or sunday, tomorrow I have to attend a wedding so I won't be able to read! But the other week I hope I'm free!

Maybe 2, 3 or 5 chapters per day? I don't know you tell me ;)

Yeah, I thought all the book that the alchemist was a male. Spanish is a really gendered language so I suppose it was that, but maybe on the English book it's suposed to be male OR neutral instead. I think it makes a really great surprise to know she's female.

Yeah, I don't know, but probably the class difference really make a physical difference between them... Though Caro really went for Jules, so maybe they have a little ressemblance or something. (hide spoiler)]

How about we start it on sunday and read 5 chapters a day? I usually comment on spoilers and I put which chapter I'm in before it so nobody have to spoil anything.

(view spoiler)[ Yeah.. maybe they do, well other thing that is also interesting is the deal with the heart.. If it didn't break when Caro killed Roan and also when Jules's dad died then what or who else has to die? Crazy.. Makes you wonder, I think that's why I liked the book.. It's different, and the thing with the blood makes it even more interesting, pretty futuristic or sth like that, which makes it better with all the magic and fantasy in the story.. I'm glad I picked it up! (hide spoiler)]

I'm okay with starting it on sunday! I will probably read it at night so will comment it on monday! Good thing, I will do the same with the spoilers!

Okay, I am so late but I read all of the book today. I loved it and wanted to read it with you but I was busy :(.

Any way, I loved the characters here and that the author (view spoiler)[ used time not just as currency but also that it became non linear in some places (hide spoiler)]

I liked the ending also and I am waiting for Liam to get bigger part of the story.

(view spoiler)[ I hated Liam in the begginning and in the end I just wanted him to go away with Jules!! Yeah I agree with you about how time develops in the story, or better said develops in our reading. I love how time is THE essential thing in the book, even as money, it is the perfect fit for a perfect fantasy-scifi story, it makes you wonder what is going to happen to humanity and I think that's the whole point of Sara's writing (hide spoiler)]

Yeah, I like everything revolving around time, movies or books.(view spoiler)[ I didn't hate Liam per say(just him throwing his brother made me want to) but I grew to like him more as the story went and I felt that he couldn't be that evil. (hide spoiler)]

I will try to participate more in reading the sequel . (Me hoping I would have enough time :/)

As Shorouk I didn't hate Liam, but he was just so cold and gave justice when it was needed. He seemed scary, but as time passed I see he was just cold with others.
