Books about: Royal Romances Modern Day Setting No-Americans

Hi,
I would like to read books/shot stories that have romances between either two royals or a royal and a commoner.

Not picky about the pairs they could be MM, FF, or MF.

I do not want to read any books featuring Americans as part of the couple as I have read too many featuring Americans that were terrible.

Preferably Modern day or futuristic setting, but historical is okay if it is a really good story.

And I am okay with fantasy, I just want something newer rather than older.

Nana Malone has a series you might like. Some parts take place in America, but the majority of the main characters are from a Caribbean island.
