Zoe is completely uninhibited in her relationship with Clay but loses her nerve when it comes to expressing her feelings about her readiness for marriage. Did it seem out of character or did you understand her reluctance?

It really caught me off guard as I’m so used to Zoe being fearless. It took me a moment to figure out what was going on with her. I understand why she was rattled, and hormones play a role, but it seemed not her nature.
