read all 3 books about 15 years ago. the first book starts with a boat being found buried on native american land and it was sunk on the edge of an ancient sea. there is a house nearby that is of the same age as the boat and it can only be opened by man made materials. there is another building found that allows passage between times on our planet, the past and the future.

Searching science fiction "find a buried boat" "native american" this book came up: Ancient Shores by Jack McDevitt. There's only two books, not three, and the boat is found on a wheat field (but the reviews mention that the house is found in a Sioux reservation) but there are other similarities with the plot that you mentioned. It was published in 1996.
