I'm a uni student (well about to be!), love reading and writing and my favourite book series is of course Harry Potter!
My goal this year is to read 50 books and I'm a tenth of the way there so far.

My name is Isabel and I'm from Upstate New York. I'm a little late joining this group (officially missed the January challenge, but I'm going to read something from the category anyway).
I pretty much will read any genre but some of my favorites are mystery/thrillers, drama, nonfiction (medical), and science fiction/fantasy.
My goal is to read a minimum of 96 books this year.

I try to read 100 books a year - if successful this year, it will be my 5th year in a row. I read primarily women's fiction, chick lit, psych thrillers, historical fiction and new releases, that I borrow from the library as much as possible. I also volunteer at our local library where I help run the used Bookstore which also gets me some good books.
Alway open to new friends here on GR.
Welcome to our group, Kelly, Isabel and Dee. I hope you will have fun reading and doing our challenges.

Hi, Lady. Welcome to our group. I hope you have lots of fun reading and doing challenges with us.

Hi, Gins. Welcome to our group. I have learned about so many great books since joining goodreads. I also really enjoy talking with other book-lovers, like you. A goal of 50 books is fantastic for a university student. I hope each book is a good one.

Hi, Hali. Welcome to the group.
Your experience is very similar to mine. Every year I tell myself that I will not buy anymore books until have read a certain number. Of course, that doesn't last long.
Hope you have a good time doing the challenges. We have two specifically aimed at reducing those lists: Buyer's Remorse and Dust the Shelf.

I am a big fan of Agatha Christie books and am now slowly rereading my favourites.

I have been on goodreads for 2 years and I think it's about time to be more active here. I have been reading books since I can remember myself.
Mostly I read classics, literary fiction, politics, contemporary, non-fiction and science.

My name is Kayla and I love to read my goal this year is to read 100 book I have another goal that is to do a lot of bookish challenges. I love reading ya and I am very happy I have found a group that does challenges that I know I will enjoy ! ;)

My *favorite* authors are Jane Austen, Anthony Trollope, and Fyodor Dostoevsky. I tend to read lots of classics, also non-fiction, YA, and some cozy mysteries. BUT I will read (almost) anything.
Time will tell how good I will be at updating my challenges :-)
Welcome to our group, Sally. I am a big fan of Trollope and Dostoevsky too. And read pretty well everything, but mostly classics too.
I hope you enjoy the challenges-- and remember to update them. I find it best to do it right after I have finished a book.

I’m Michelle from Bolton
Was an avid reader as a child (I used to copy out of old encyclopedias & scared myself witless reading Mum’s Stephen King & James Herbert books) but not been reading so much as I’ve got older.
I’m studying nutrition at the moment so need some fiction to balance out all the science. That said I am a massive fan of non-fiction as I love to learn.
Hi, Michelle. Welcome to our group. I hope you have fun reading and doing a few challenges with us.

I'm trying to read as much as I can this year, and I'm open to many different recommendations! I like any good novel, but sometimes I have trouble picking one to start with because the books on my own list are usually nonfiction. I'm excited to be in the group and to get ideas for what to read!
Hi, Chloe. Welcome to our group. I actually have fond memories of Latin class and was glad when both my daughters studied Latin for a while.
I am a retired teacher and know just how special most "special ed" teachers are and how important their work is.
We have lots of fun challenges to give you ideas of what to read next, but be warned, your to-read list will grow faster than you can read the books. 😉📚

Hi Rosemarie! I appreciate that you and your daughters have some Latin experience, and it's always nice to connect with other teachers! I can't wait to get involved with some challenges, and I'd always rather have a to-read list that's too long to handle than one that's too short! :)

Hi, Addie, welcome to the group. I hope you get inspired to get back into reading. We have lots of fun challenges to help get you started.

My favorite books are Harry Potter, Percy Jackson, the Heroes of Olympus and the Teen Power Inc series!
I love adventure, mystery and suspense books!
I'm excited to get started! :)
Welcome to our group, Ameerah. It is great to have you with us. We have lots of fun challenges, so please feel free to join as many as you like and make yourself at home here.

I love to read (obviously) and I love music.
My favorite genres is romance, fantasy and paranormal.
I think this will be so much fun!
Hi, Sofia. Welcome to our group. I am curious-what makes your cat weird? Mine is weird at times.

Love cats 😻
I believe they are supposed to be weird lol
Indeed, what is it that makes yours weird Sofia and Rosemarie?
My cat forgets that there is food in her bowl, poor thing. She is getting old. She loves to open cupboard doors, especially in the kitchen.
