The book I am trying to recall the name of set in a typical English village where some of the characters are into horses. The main character is called Maddie (I think) and she falls in love with her married neighbour. She comes across as frumpy and a bit hap hazard but her married neighbour falls for her. His wife is glam and well turned out. There is a sequel to this story and I cannot remember the title of it either. It was published on or around 1997 in the UK. I cant recall the author either.
